Gor'ee Island in Dacari, West Africa, the place where thousands past through on their way from freedom to slavery never to return to their home land or families. I viewed the short open place many of my ancestors probably were placed in, I don't even want to call them rooms. Small cramped holes a few hundred people were stuffed in at a time all over the building. I can close my eyes now and hear the cries, I have probably never felt the level of fear they felt, been as hungry as they were or felt the level of pain they felt. This was their beginning of a tourist journey. As I stood on the shores that they were stolen from, a friend encouraged me to call my ancestors by their names one by one and let them know, I came back, I made it back, I have been able to see the land they were ripped from. I find that I think about the sights I saw more now then while I was on my trip. I also think about there strength and will to live and how America was built on their backs and much more. May God continue to bless each and every one of them.

Violence behavior from there employees. Stay away. I witness one this location employee physically assaulting a woman unprovoked. Stay away from this place

Didn't take credit card at pump, pump leaked after pumping, pump handle didn't have flow lock, no window cleaner, no healthy food snacks inside.
