The Sunoco Gas Station is conveniently located at 1825-33 Oregon Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19145, USA. This prime location places it in a high-traffic area of South Philadelphia, making it easily accessible for commuters, local residents, and those traveling through the city. Oregon Avenue is a well-known thoroughfare, offering straightforward access from various directions, including major roadways and local streets. Its position ensures that whether you're heading to work, running errands, or embarking on a longer journey, the Sunoco station is a practical and easy stop.
The accessibility of a gas station is paramount, and the Oregon Avenue Sunoco benefits from its strategic placement within a bustling urban environment. While the area can be busy, the station's layout is designed to facilitate smooth entry and exit for vehicles. For those who rely on public transportation or simply prefer to walk to a nearby convenience store, its central location also makes it a viable option for quick purchases without needing a car. However, customers should be aware that during certain hours, particularly late at night, access to the interior of the convenience store may be restricted, requiring transactions through a service window. This policy, while intended for security, can impact the convenience for some customers.
The Sunoco Gas Station on Oregon Avenue provides a comprehensive range of services designed to meet the diverse needs of its customers. Beyond just fuel, this station aims to be a one-stop shop for various everyday necessities.
- Fuel Sales: As a primary service, the station offers various grades of Sunoco gasoline, known for its quality and performance. Pumps are readily available for self-service fueling.
- Convenience Store: Inside, customers can find a well-stocked convenience store offering a wide array of products. This includes snacks, beverages (sodas, juices, coffee, energy drinks), basic groceries, and confectionery items.
- Tobacco Products: A selection of cigarettes, cigars, and other tobacco products is available for purchase.
- Automotive Essentials: For unexpected needs on the road, the store often carries automotive essentials such as motor oil, wiper fluid, and other car care products.
- ATM Services: An automated teller machine (ATM) is typically on-site, providing easy access to cash for customers.
- Lottery Tickets: For those feeling lucky, lottery tickets are usually available for purchase, offering a chance to win big prizes.
- Restrooms: Public restrooms are generally available for customer use, though cleanliness and accessibility can vary.
While the station generally offers these services, it's worth noting customer feedback regarding the operation of the convenience store, particularly during late-night hours. Access to the interior of the store might be restricted, with transactions conducted through a secure, plexiglass window. This can sometimes lead to communication challenges and a less personal customer experience. Despite this, the core services of fuel and essential convenience items remain readily available.
The Sunoco Gas Station on Oregon Avenue, while primarily a fueling stop, offers several features and highlights that enhance the customer experience, though some aspects have drawn mixed reviews from patrons.
- Sunoco Brand Fuel: The station exclusively offers Sunoco branded fuel, which is recognized for its quality and is often a preferred choice for many drivers in Pennsylvania. Sunoco is known for its high-octane racing fuel heritage, suggesting a commitment to fuel quality across its grades.
- 24/7 Operation (for Fuel): While the convenience store's internal access may be limited during certain hours, the fuel pumps typically operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, providing constant access to fuel for drivers at any time.
- Location Advantage: Its strategic placement on Oregon Avenue makes it a convenient stop for a wide range of drivers, whether they are local residents, commuters, or just passing through South Philadelphia.
- Dedicated Staff Member: According to customer reviews, at least one staff member consistently provides excellent service, described as "on point, considerate, and bringing the most positive vibes." This highlights the potential for positive customer interactions despite operational policies.
- Payment Options: The station accepts various payment methods, including major credit cards at the pump. For Sunoco credit card users, it's advisable to manage accounts via the Citibank Sunoco website rather than the app, as the app has been noted for its limited functionality.
It's important to acknowledge that some operational aspects, particularly the late-night window service and the associated communication challenges, have been a point of contention for some customers. However, the core offering of reliable Sunoco fuel and the presence of dedicated staff members contribute to its overall utility for the local community.
While specific, real-time promotions for the Sunoco Gas Station at 1825-33 Oregon Ave are subject to change and are best confirmed directly at the station or through official Sunoco channels, there are general ways customers can typically find value and special offers.

This might involve earning points on fuel purchases that can be redeemed for discounts on gas or in-store items. It's advisable to inquire about current rewards programs directly at the station or check the official Sunoco website for details on how to enroll and benefit.
- Sunoco Credit Card Offers: As mentioned in customer reviews, Sunoco offers co-branded credit cards, often in partnership with financial institutions like Citibank. These cards frequently come with specific benefits, such as per-gallon discounts on fuel purchases, special financing offers, or bonus rewards points. Customers interested in these offers should visit the Citibank Sunoco website for the most accurate and up-to-date information on card benefits and application processes.
- In-Store Promotions: Like many convenience stores, the Sunoco on Oregon Avenue may periodically run in-store promotions on beverages, snacks, or other merchandise. These can include "buy one, get one free" deals, bundled discounts, or seasonal sales. These offers are typically advertised within the store itself.
- Partnership Discounts: Sunoco may have partnerships with various organizations or clubs that offer discounts to their members. For example, certain auto clubs or insurance providers might offer fuel discounts at Sunoco stations. It’s always a good idea to check if any memberships you hold provide such benefits.
To get the most accurate information on current promotions or special offers at this specific Sunoco location, it's recommended to visit the station, look for signage, or check the official Sunoco website or app if one is available and functional for promotional updates. Sunoco Gas Station Customer Reviews
By far the most inconvenient place to stop! Your stuck using the most unprofessional plexiglass window with the steel sliding drawer to obtain anything other then gas! The doors also get locked at 9pm as if this is the wild west OR the bullet proof glass won’t be sufficient to to thwart any attacks! This place is UNPROFESSIONAL AND INAPPROPRIATE due to the policy on card purchases thru the window require the clerk to vanish with ur card then show back up to say something that you CANNOT UNDERSTAND due to the disgusting window and microphone not working. It’s just a nightmare overall and I suggest u avoid this spot at all costs during the hours of 9pm to 8am !!! On a positive note, one young kid, dark complexion and braided/Twisted hair is always on point, considerate and bring the most positive vibes to work!! That kid is more valuable then the establishment itself!!! More of that, less locked doors and it’s a complete turnaround! To the young man who should run that business for the nonscenes he endures daily : Keep that positive energy youngin!! To Sunoco _ CHANGE YOUR UNPROFESSIONAL POLICY AND ALLOW CUSTOMERS IN THE BUILDING! Won’t like it wen the area boycotts this location!!

My problem is not with the gas stations of Sunoco. My problem is with the Customer Service at Citibank for the Sunoco gas credit card app. I received this card on June 24, 2022. The first time I used the card the pump accepted the card and I charged $21.15 for gas. I did not see this charge on the Sunoco app on my phone. When I attempted to look around the app for the charge I was instead referred to their customer service. I called Customer Service and was on the phone with two different representatives for 35 minutes. The first representative told me that my card hadn’t been activated, and yet the card worked at the pump. She spent 30 minutes telling me that I had to register the card in order to put in my bank account information so that I can pay the card. After getting nowhere with her, she referred me to a supervisor, who she said can help me with my problem. After waiting on hold for another five minutes another representative got on the phone and told me that I had been transferred to the wrong department. I was told that I had to wait 24 hours before the app updated and would allow me to put in my bank account information. Of course, 24 hours later this did not occur. I went on to my laptop and went into the Sunoco Citibank website, and I discovered that I had provided bank account information and that the card was obviously active. I selected auto pay on the website and now the card is appropriately set up. The Sunoco app is very frustrating and I would advise anybody who is using the app, to instead go to the Citibank Sunoco website on their laptop. The app basically tells you nothing, but it will allow you to scan it at the pump, as opposed to sliding your credit card into the pump of your choice. I have put all of my other credit cards in the wallet section of my telephone. However, I could not put the Sunoco rewards gas credit card in my wallet because it Claims it does not except apple pay.

Credit card reader/tap to pay for air which is helpful because who carries cash anymore to change out for quarters with all these old machines requiring quarters only and more over air should be free!
