Services Offered

The Stop & Shop Gas Station in Greenfield provides the essential services expected of a modern fuel station, with a focus on convenience and value for its customers.

  • Gasoline Sales: The primary service is the dispensing of various grades of gasoline, providing options for different vehicle requirements. Customers report good quality gasoline, ensuring reliable performance for their vehicles.

  • Integration with Stop & Shop Loyalty Program: A core service is the direct integration with the Stop & Shop grocery store's loyalty program. This allows customers to redeem points earned from their grocery purchases for discounts on fuel directly at the pump. This is a significant added value and a key differentiator.

  • Payment Options: Like most modern gas stations, it accepts various payment methods, including credit cards, debit cards, and potentially mobile payment options, for ease of transaction.

  • Convenience (Implied): While not explicitly stated as having a separate convenience store like some larger gas stations, its affiliation with the main Stop & Shop supermarket means that all convenience store needs (snacks, drinks, quick essentials) can be met immediately next door. This provides an even broader range of choices than a typical gas station mini-mart.

Features / Highlights

The Stop & Shop Gas Station in Greenfield offers several distinctive features that enhance its appeal and benefit local Massachusetts drivers.

  • Stop & Shop GO Rewards Program: This is arguably the most significant highlight. Customers earn points by shopping at any Stop & Shop grocery store. As noted by customers, "Each 100 points earns .10 cents per gallon off the price up to a 20 gallon maximum." These points can quickly add up, leading to substantial savings at the pump. It effectively turns your regular grocery shopping into a discount on fuel.

  • High-Quality Gasoline: Customers consistently report that the station "seems to have good quality gasoline," instilling confidence in the fuel purchased for their vehicles.

  • Direct Savings at the Pump: The seamless redemption of grocery points directly at the gas pump is a major convenience. Customers appreciate the straightforward process of applying their earned discounts.

  • Proximity to Supermarket: The gas station’s location right by the highly-rated Greenfield Stop & Shop supermarket offers unparalleled convenience. This allows shoppers to consolidate their errands, making it easy to fuel up immediately after grocery shopping and redeem points on the spot.

  • Renowned Greenfield Store: A standout feature highlighted in a customer review is that the "Greenfield Stop & Shop has been rated the best Stop & Shop in the company." While this refers to the grocery store, it speaks to the overall quality of operations, customer service, and management that likely extends to the adjacent gas station, creating a positive experience for customers.

  • Longevity and Reliability: As part of a major regional chain, the Stop & Shop Gas Station benefits from the brand's established presence and reliability, offering a consistent and trusted fueling option.

Promotions or Special Offers

The core promotion at the Stop & Shop Gas Station in Greenfield is its robust GO Rewards loyalty program, which directly links grocery purchases to fuel savings. Here's a detailed look at how it works and what to expect:

  • Earn Points for Shopping: For every dollar spent on eligible purchases at any Stop & Shop grocery store (in-store or online), customers earn GO Rewards points. Typically, 1 point is earned for every $1 spent.

  • Fuel Discounts: For every 100 GO Rewards points earned, customers receive a $0.10 per gallon discount on fuel. These discounts can accumulate, allowing for significant savings. For example, a customer noted getting "$0.30 cents per gallon off just by doing my grocery shopping," which would correspond to 300 points.

  • Maximum Discount and Gallons: The discount is applied to a maximum of 20 gallons per fill-up. While a single fill-up can redeem up to 1,500 points (equating to $1.50 off per gallon), the total discount cannot exceed the price per gallon. If your discount exceeds the price, the price will roll down to the equipment's minimum capability (e.g., $0.109/gallon), and any remaining rewards balance can be saved for a future fuel purchase. However, if you start dispensing fuel with a discount, you must dispense to the 20-gallon limit or forfeit remaining discounted gallons.

  • Point Expiration: It's important for customers to note that "Points do expire 30 days after they are earned." This encourages regular use of the program to maximize savings.

  • Redemption Process: To redeem points, simply use your Stop & Shop loyalty card at the gas pump. The discount will be automatically applied. If you have questions, the service desk at the main grocery store can assist. You can also track your points balance and manage rewards via the Stop & Shop app or website.

  • Grocery or Fuel Redemption: The GO Rewards program also offers flexibility, allowing customers to convert their GO Points into money off their next grocery order in addition to gas savings. This provides options based on individual needs.

  • Shell Partnership (Select Locations): In some cases, Stop & Shop GO Rewards points can also be redeemed at participating Shell gas stations, further expanding options for customers, though the primary focus for this location is the on-site gas station.

Always a truly social event and with the recent renovations always a pleasure at S&S. And that's why we get our gas at their station. It's right off the hiway. Prices about competitive.

The most affordable gas in the region especially if you have Stop and Shop points. I make a point of using this station any time I'm passing through the area. Would be nice if there was a bathroom here, that would bring it to 5 stars.

Not a very professional establishment. The app is terrible for redeeming you gas points. It's unreliable and you can't always count on being able to use ur points when u get to the gas station as their system is down often.
