Stewart's Shops

Love this family owned chain of gas stations/convenience stores. Their “homemade” ice cream is amazing, some of the best ice cream we’ve ever had (inexpensive, too). We’ve even driven an extra 30 minutes out of our way to get their ice cream (the chocolate-peanut butter is to die for). Their pizza is decent and their donuts are great. Stewart’s has a huge selection of grocery, household and camping items including bait, firewood, etc. They have large, relatively clean bathrooms, too. Love this spot.

The only reason this place gets a 4 is because the woman who works the early morning shift is ALWAYS and I mean ALWAYS on point. Everything is always full and she works from 4am to -7 am all alone. The amount of traffic in that place during those early hours are crazy and again she has to stick , make sandwiches fill coffee get the hot food ready make the soups and check people out. Other than that everything is so expensive I remember when Stewart's was cheap even there own brand stuff is expensive. The bagels , breakfast sandwiches , breakfast wraps are so over priced and absolutely disgusting. Even there donuts have taken a negative downward spiral. I picked this Stewart's because I shop here often but other Stewart's and there food , buttered rolls bagels sandwiches ( breakfast) are all cheap and old. ALOT come in frozen so when it's defrosted the break gets like old and turns into crumbs . I can go to a deli and get a fresh egg sandwich for 3.75 there sandwiches are 4.30- 4.75 .

This is absolutely the worst Stewart's ever. I travel the Hudson valley and patronize with no exaggeration, Probably about 20 different Stewart's locations, and this is being conservative. The manager is a miserable man who always looks like he's angry at life and hates being there. Never smiles , never even thanks you for your business. I will never patronize this location again

Lady behind counter was rude when I asked a question about the price and my milkshake was basically melted ice cream. She stands there and prices bagels as other customers wait to pay.

Does not maintain their pumps with fluid to clean windshield or paper towels to wipe off excess gas It’s a salty winter night and that stuff is crucial today EDIT. Thank you for responding to my review. I will drive by in 2 or 3 weeks. If the problem has been solved, i will edit my review to 5 stars in recognition of your awesome management skills!!
