Stewart's Shops are celebrated for their diverse and extensive range of services, and the Marcellus location is equipped to uphold this reputation. While some specific items or services might fluctuate, based on Stewart's standard offerings and information about this particular site, here's a detailed overview of what you can expect:
Fuel Services: The station offers high-quality gasoline, including regular, mid-grade, and premium options. Importantly, this location provides 91 Premium Non-Ethanol gas, which is beneficial for certain engines and preferred by some vehicle owners. Diesel fuel is also available. All Stewart's locations, including this one, offer free air for tires, a valuable amenity for maintaining vehicle safety and fuel efficiency.
Convenience Store: As a larger Stewart's Shop (at 4,500 square feet, bigger than the typical 4,000 sq ft), it's designed to carry a wide variety of convenience items, including snacks, candy, beverages (sodas, juices, energy drinks), and even a selection of basic groceries to help fill the void left by the former supermarket. It features a "Beer Cave," offering a broad assortment of domestic and craft beers.
Coffee & Hot Beverages: Stewart's is renowned for its coffee. This location offers various options, including freshly brewed hot coffee, iced coffee, and cold brew. Seasonal limited-edition flavors are often available, and customers can also purchase Stewart's S-Cups or ground coffee for home brewing.
Ice Cream Parlor: A true hallmark of the Stewart's brand is its famous ice cream, made with fresh milk from local farms. This location features a wide variety of locally made ice cream, sherbet, and frozen yogurt in prepackaged half-gallons and pints. They also serve hand-scooped ice cream, milkshakes, sundaes, and cones from their ice cream counter, including dairy-free fruit smoothies.

Larger Store Format: This specific Stewart's shop, at 4,500 square feet, is notably larger than typical Stewart's locations. This extra space allows for an expanded selection of products, including more grocery items, positioning it as an "interim grocery store" for the community, which is a significant benefit following the closure of the local supermarket.
Locally Sourced Dairy Products: Stewart's commitment to using fresh milk from local farms for its award-winning dairy products, especially its ice cream, is a major highlight. This supports local agriculture and ensures high-quality, fresh ingredients.
Vertical Integration: Stewart's Shops is unique in that it produces approximately 75% of the products sold in its stores, from milk and ice cream to sodas and baked goods. This vertical integration allows for stringent quality control and fresh products.
Employee- and Family-Owned: As an employee- and family-owned business, Stewart's fosters a strong sense of pride among its staff, which often translates into a more attentive and friendly customer service experience.
Free Air for Tires: A consistent and highly valued feature across all Stewart's locations is the provision of free air for tires. This simple yet crucial service helps drivers maintain optimal tire pressure, enhancing safety and fuel efficiency at no cost.
Community Investment: The $4 million investment in building this new, larger store in Marcellus demonstrates Stewart's commitment to the community. It's designed to build "on the legacy that Rich Nojaim and his family created by supporting the community through the operation of Nojaim Brothers supermarket at this location."
"Your Restaurant, Your Interim Grocery Store, Your Gas Station": This branding highlights the diverse roles this expanded Stewart's aims to play in the community, providing convenience beyond just fuel.
While some customer reviews mention challenges with hot food availability, product stocking, and service speed, these are often areas that new or expanding stores work to optimize over time, especially given the broad range of services offered.

Stewart's Shops Customer Reviews
One star. The store smells terrible, and I had to wait 10 minutes just to get service. To make matters worse, other customers who ordered after me were served ice cream first. The employees seemed disengaged and inexperienced, frequently relying on the manager for even basic tasks. Beyond the poor service, the store itself has major issues—half the ice cream flavors are always out of stock, along with many other products. Fruits and vegetables are often expired, and the pricing is outrageous—I can walk five minutes to Speedway and get a pizza the same size for less than half the price. One of Marcellus’s biggest issues is the lack of job opportunities for teens, and Stewart’s has done nothing to help. The store consistently operates with only two or three employees at a time, making it difficult to serve customers efficiently while managing other tasks. Hiring workers under 18 with proper working papers could not only improve store efficiency but also provide much-needed employment opportunities for local youth, ultimately benefiting the town’s economy. Nojaims did great in employing the untaped work force of the Marcellus highschool while also providing the things the people in this town want and need, at an affordable price.

I was excited to hear Stewart's was going to open in Marcellus since I had it with the ineptitude of the Speedway in town. I'm sad to say that this Stewart's is just as bad. How do you not have your hot food ready by 11:30 on a weekday? How do you not have a soda fountain? How do you never have cinnamon donuts ready to go? Orange glazed donuts? Who is even looking for those? On top of that, it's twice the price of what you'll get at Speedway. Now we just have two awful gas stations in town.

I originally stopped in when the place opened and gave 5 stars and for awhile it was great and stop by almost daily. Changing to two stars because I must say, this place has gone down hill very quickly since opening. The breakfast selection is very minimal whether it’s 5am or 7am and many times it seems like some employees are busy doing nothing. The refrigerated prepared food also seems to always be close to empty. This is clearly an issue only at this store, as most local Stewart’s locations have very high marks. Hopefully they realize there are some issues and correct them because it can be great.

I usually stop in every morning on my way to work around 730/8 AM to grab a quick bite and literally every single time there is only 2 or 3 sandwiches and they are the ones no one wants as they sit there for most of the day until lunch. It is never stocked...ever... like when they first opened. If you ask if they can make a BEC quick it will take 10 minutes as at least that is what I'm told each time. It is night a day now different. I highly recommend anyone looking for a breakfast sandwich to go to Speedway up the road as they are always stocked with fresh sandwich's and actually have options as I just went there this morning since Stewarts had nothing per usual.

I've already stopped here twice since their recent opening. First to buy gas. The second time I stopped for some ice cream but the line was so long I gave up.
