I don’t know what services if any this place offers other than gas. I drive by but never stop. Today, my 17 year old son pulled in with his first ever flat tire. He called me and I told him to ask inside if anyone could help him while he waited for us. I can’t believe that the men that work there told him they couldn’t help him and blew him off. Not one of them even asked if he was okay, or offered to look. It could have just been air (it wasn’t 🤦🏻‍♀️) Unbelievable. I’m not expecting any free services, I would have paid for anything they could’ve done to help. But to just flat out be that rude to a young kid that’s scared on the side of the road is complete trash. He was on his way home from work and I couldn’t leave work at that exact moment. He had to sit there for almost an hour by himself while they just ignored him.

Seriously the most ethical mechanic I've ever met. Sent my mom away telling her not to spend money she didn't need to. He repaired my car when I was out of work and refused to accept payment. I have a buddy who had the exact same experience. This guy deserves an award. I'm not certain how they get bad reviews ever but figure it must be difficult customers. I've sent countless people, friends, family all have the same experience. Another friend called in a panic while his car was on its last leg. Rather than gouging my buddy, the owner helped him out and told him to buy another car soon. Always fair prices, he'll even use used parts if you ask him to.

I use Sparta Shell for towing if I need it and small repairs. Tire mounting and balancing and the like. I have had 3 tows from Sparta Shell. One for a car that I purchased 60 miles one way. They took great car for the car etc.. The other two I broke down locally and they towed the car to my house both times. Not one issue. I have had probably 20 tires mounted and balanced from this location. All with a fair price and very speedy service. I just had them do 4 tires today and they were done in less than 2 hours!! I have only had good experiences with Sparta Shell. The owner, Guy, is always fair and I never get asked to pay more than previously stated, unless unforeseen issues arise. I will continue to use this shop until I have an issue. I don't foresee that happening.

Terrible Mechanic Work and Difficult Owner! My car was towed to the Sparta Shell Service Shop with a bad distributor on a Sunday. I called for them to give me a quote and when they returned my call they said they had already done the work and it was the distributer, that they rebuilt “saving” me the money of a new one. The car worked fine for one day, the next day same problem. I called and was told that they did what they were supposed to and the previous money spent would not count toward the replacement distributor. I ended up getting one myself from the junk yard for $100 and fixing it. I went in to ask the owner for some of the labor cost refunded and he told me he would test the old distributor first. That was 7 month ago and since then he says the distributor is fine, but every time I go to get it from him he can't find it. He takes my number every time and never calls. Beware of this place!

The attendants here are normally very attentive during a fuel stop. We use point front the local grocery store to combat the higher than normal price. But its on the way so it is what it is.
