Shell Customer Reviews

I had a disappointing experience at the Shell Gas Station Food Mart recently. I made a special trip to this station to take advantage of their fuel rewards program. After filling up my tank, I decided to buy three Red Bulls, which were part of the rewards program, offering a 10-cent discount per gallon for up to 20 gallons. Although I don't normally drink Red Bull, this deal was too good to pass up. However, my frustration began when I entered the Food Mart and found only one cashier, who was occupied with lotto tickets. I patiently waited for about 4 to 5 minutes to make my purchase. When it was finally my turn, I attempted to enter my fuel rewards number. To my dismay, the cashier seemed clueless about the process. I had to explain it to him, and he reluctantly allowed me to enter my number. But as soon as I entered the number and the machine started processing, he abruptly canceled it and proceeded to charge me the full price. It was clear that he was impatient with me, while he had been remarkably patient with the customer ahead of me. This inconsistency and the staff's apparent lack of knowledge about their own rewards system left me frustrated and disappointed. I have been a loyal Shell customer, but experiences like this make me question my loyalty. It's disheartening to see employees who don't understand their own system, especially when I make an effort to support their business. I'm seriously considering taking my business elsewhere due to this unfortunate incident.

I've been going here for a while. I drive a Range Rover and only use Shell Plus gas since I got my car a couple years ago. Recently, when I fill up my tank, a tiny space at the top on my tank meter shows empty even when I ask to fill it. I have tried several different pumps here with the same result. This only happens at this location. Weirdy, I always pay about $54 for a full tank at this location and all the others as well. Today, I went to fill up my tank at this location and to my surprise, my meter read completely full for the first time BUT my total came out to $69! A $15 price difference for a difference of the thickness of a coin on my gas meter doesn't seem to make sense. Be cautious at this location. Something is definitely off because I don't have these issues with any other Shell station. I hope someone investigates their pumps.

The past couple of times we’ve been there (between 2am-4am) the employee has not been courteous or professional, is not very knowledgeable on how to use their own equipment (when it come to filling up the tank and charging the credit card at the terminal) and won’t even do his job from start to finish. Not only he decided to assist another customer before us (even though we had arrived first), he also did not return to our pump to finish us. When he started our pump, the employee went in their booth to eat and never returned. After several minutes, my husband had to get out of the truck and finish the job for the employee (remove the nozzle, get our credit card and receipt) while the employee watched the whole scene. For us on the road, time is crucial and having to wait longer than what’s necessary only makes our job more difficult. So delays and poor service is unappreciated and unacceptable to say the least, being that we are paying for a service. This visit specifically was on 04/12/2019 at 3:50am but unfortunately has happened a couple of times now.

Still getting used to full service in NJ. I much rather pump my own gas because I'd make sure to swipe my Fuel Rewards card to get 5¢ off per gallon. The attendent didn't swipe my card and pretended he did. I will not be coming back to this station again.

Good location, busy as its on highway yet clean station. Issue is that staff aren't very knowledgeable.. Guy started pumping gas while my car engine was still running lol... Glad we didn't explode.
