Quality Service Center Introduce

Located at 800 NJ-35, Neptune City, NJ 07753, Quality Service Center offers automotive repair and maintenance services, and functions as a gas station. As part of the "Nearby Gas Stations" category, it provides fuel and vehicle servicing to the local community.

You can contact the center at (732) 776-6116 or +1 732-776-6116. However, customer reviews indicate significant concerns regarding their business practices.

Several customers have reported issues with estimates and billing. One recurring theme is the importance of obtaining written estimates, as verbal estimates are reportedly not honored. Customers have alleged being overcharged, especially concerning labor costs. They recommend that the center adhere to flat book rates for repairs to avoid overbilling.

Concerns were also raised about the quality of work performed. One customer suggested that the mechanic improve their automotive repair knowledge, potentially through additional training or ASE Master certification. There were also reports of unnecessary services being recommended, such as transmission fluid changes on fluid that appeared new.

A serious complaint involved an unauthorized repair performed without preapproval, followed by overbilling. Customers are advised to be aware of their rights under the Auto Repairs Deceptive Practices Regulations and the New Jersey Consumer Fraud Act, which require written authorization and estimates before work commences. Customers can file complaints with the NJ Division of Consumer Affairs if they believe their rights have been violated.

Despite these negative reviews, one customer stated "Really good people!" suggesting that some customers have had positive experiences.

Key features of Quality Service Center include:

  • Gasoline and fuel services.
  • Automotive repair and maintenance.
  • Location on NJ-35.

Customer feedback indicates highly inconsistent experiences, with significant concerns regarding billing practices and service quality. Potential customers are strongly advised to obtain written estimates and be aware of their consumer rights before engaging the services of Quality Service Center.

Quality Service Center Customer Reviews

The easiest thing for a shop to do when encountering a bad review is to deny that the reviewer was its customer. Instead of being in denial mode, the shop should introspect and make the improvements suggested in the review. —————————————— One should always ask for a written estimate if one gets any car maintenance or repair performed at Quality Service Center located on Route 35 in Neptune. The shop will not honor a verbal estimate and will later overcharge the customer. The mechanic at Quality Service Center needs to charge for repairs based on the flat book rate for each job and not based on the amount of time that it takes him to perform a repair. Please note that anytime a mechanic wants to charge for labor hours in excess of the flat book rate hours for a particular job, the mechanic is overcharging the customer because the mechanic can state any number of hours for the job after its completion. There is a reason that the flat rate system was introduced. The quality of work at the shop needs to be improved. The mechanic should take additional courses or complete ASE Master certification to improve his knowledge about automotive repairs. The mechanic recommended transmission service on a fluid that looks practically brand new. Quality Service Center performed an unauthorized repair on my car without my preapproval and then overbilled me for that work. It is unlawful under the Auto Repairs Deceptive Practices Regulations and the New Jersey Consumer Fraud Act for an automotive repair shop to do any of the following: 1. Start work without first having received a signed written authorization from the consumer which clearly states the nature of the repair and the odometer reading of the vehicle. 2. Start work without first giving the consumer a written estimate. If Quality Service Center violates the Auto Repairs Deceptive Practices Regulations or overcharges for a repair, you can file a complaint with NJ Division of Consumer Affairs, 124 Halsey Street, Newark, NJ 07102. They also have an online complaint form.
