Went here 2 weeks ago and payed $50 for a drink and gas. Only used $30 on the pump (used my debit card) but never received my money back. Will not come back

Completely dysfunctional management. The price programmed at the pumps never matches the listed price on the sign. Then you have to try your luck to see if anyone is working inside that knows how to correct it.

Dear Sunoco Direct: On Friday 2/3/23 my son pumped $30.14 worth of gas. I noticed on his bank account about an hour later he had been charged $126 and that overdrew his account. We both went to the station at about 7pm and asked the clerk, Gary, about this. He seemed very anxious and said the pump only provides the last two transactions which I thought was too convenient and so could not get me a receipt. He then told me to talk to the manager, Ms. Aiyisha, on Sunday morning. So today (2/5/23) I went in to ask her about the transaction which in the meantime had reverted back to the $30.14 that my son actually pumped. Ms. Aiyisha indicated the issue was with my bank and I said maybe but my bank has never charged that much as a temporary transaction not mention $126 being very arbitrary relative to the actual transaction amount. I said I will certainly verify with my bank but in the meantime if I could get some corporate information that would be appreciated as I wanted to verify with your company as well. That is when Ms. Aiyisha got very upset and flustered. The man sitting next to her (did not provide his name) indicated to contact Sunoco Direct out of Rochester. I then asked for a phone number or contact person and Ms. Aiyisha refused to provide that information saying "you can look that up yourself". Well, now I'm really suspicious that something illegal may be going on here especially since it was clear that Ms. Aiyisha was informed that there was an issue and should have had contact information prepared for the customer and there is no reason not to provide corporate contact information. I again asked why she could not provide that information and Ms. Aiyisha kept saying "he gave you the information" when all they did was tell me to go look it up myself. Ms. Aiyisha then called me "uneducated" which I found extremely insulting. This was completely uncalled for as I was simply trying to verify the stores policies on pumping gas to compare with my bank's policies. I responded by telling her F*** Y** which is what she deserved for insulting me. Without any verification it is certainly possible that the employees (Gary in particular) have been overcharging customers on gas (in this case by more than 4X) thinking that nobody would notice. Ms. Aiyisha then started yelling at me to get out and that she would call the cops on me. Really? All because I wanted accurate corporate information to verify company policies? I told her I would save her the trouble and call them myself. I then left and went directly to the local police department (Bethlehem Police) and spoke with Officer Mahan who indicated that he would put in a ticket for the purposes of combining this complaint with other potential complaints of the same nature and investigating in the future. He advised to follow up with Sunoco Direct and keep him up to date on any correspondence which I most certainly will. Not only is there certainly the possibility of this gas station overcharging customers on gas purchases but the fact that the manager of this location refused to provide accurate corporate information (quite frankly I am not even sure if this Mobil Station is operated by Sunoco Direct - that in and of itself may be a lie to cover a scam) and then insulted customers by calling them ignorant is unacceptable. This is not professional and should be used for training on how to NOT treat a customer. Not only will I NEVER shop at this location again for ANYTHING I will not go to any Sunoco station as a result.

Stop in and say hello to Vinny (owner) such a great guy. Food is delicious esp the breakfast sandwiches on a croissant. Fresh eggs, cheese, and sausage is my favorite. Cigarettes (if you smoke) state minimum... can’t beat that! Much better than the previous owners as you know if you have resided in Delmar long enough. They also have a deli for subs/sandwiches, breakfast and regular pizzas, cheeseburgers and more! This is not a biased review just a happy customer who enjoys the service.

This place is great if there is traffic at neighboring Stewart’s but other than that it, it’s not the greatest. The shop itself seems rather sketchy, and there’s no reason to really go here when Stewart’s is next door. If just going for gas it is alright but not the best. Choose your poison (Mobil or Stewart’s) but we all know it should be STEWART’S
