Hoffner's Service Station

I took my car in because my AC wasn't working and asked to change the oil and checked to see what was wrong with the AC. I was asked if I there was heat and I told Anthony that it was only the AC wasn't working I had heat. I was called back and told I needed a compressor which would cost $1300. ( had to order now because it was the last one in the world) and he wasn't sure It could be something and I would have to leave a deposit. I told him I had to think about it and I I pick up my car, when I did the temp control and heat wasn't working and oil had not been changed, which he told me was and was charged $220.00. When I took it back I was told it was temp control. I informed him that everything was working except AC when I bought it in. The temp control was fixed but I still had no heating or AC. I was told he had to order a part and when the part was ordered I was told it still didn't work the numbers on part didn't match. I was told he had to order another part. ((NOT ONCE DID ANYONE CALL ME) When I called I was told by Carol he had to run home because the computer was down and he had to run home to get his computer to conduct business, I spoke to him when he called me back and was told he had called his Guyanese guy for part and didn't here from him and had to go to his house and he was on vacation. (You know how these Guyanese people are always on vacation). He told me he had to try and get the part online this was April 26, 2024. As of today May 24,2024 I haven't heard from him. I had to take my car somewhere else and get the heat (which was working when I brought it in) and AC fixed. Service and how I was treated is deplorable. Taking money for incomplete job. Hoffner should be ashamed of themselves!!!!!!! The onlinepart

Absolutely worst experience. Went to get basic NYS auto inspection. Told an hour later 4 of my lug nuts are missing where I had wheel locking nuts. Amazingly they disappeared as well as the unlocking wrench that was with the spare tire. No choice but to buy new lug nuts. Go to Goodyear yesterday for tire rotation. Mechanic said one of the studs broke when they tried to remove one of those new lug nuts because they said it was not put on correctly. Really can't put on a basic lug nut. Never will go here again. Had to buy and install new stud and lug nut costing me another 115 dollars.

This was honestly one of the worst experiences I've ever had at a repair shop. I thought going here would be convenient since it's not that far away from where I live, but the service was slow and they took more time to fix what I asked for. Every time I went back, there was some new excuse as to why my car wasn't finished. When I tried to express the urgency and remind the owner of the projected date he himself gave me, he gave me attitude. If you're going to run your business on dishonesties, then good luck with finding more incompetent customers, because myself and other people are not.

Negative stars if possible. The prior reviewer was correct, they take every chance to rip you off! Went for an inspection, and they charged an extra $45 to replace the windshield washers which were not problematic at all. If you don't pay them, they hold you hostage and do not let you pass inspection! This is not how inspections should be. I hope people check their gas stations on yelp...this is def one to stay away from. What crooks!

These people don’t know a thing about good customer service and after all the other reviews I’m shocked they’re still in business. Absolutely terrible service and most likely ruining your car even more just get more money out of you. Stay away!
