This place exudes the authenticity of a simpler, earlier time. This is not a Wawa or Sheetz, though it does have a store with drinks and snacks. Its gas pumps do not take credit cards at the pump, though you can use them inside to pay, and they operate with dial numbers, not LED digital. Inside, you can see that this small store was once a hub for supplies to the nearby residents, and still provides for them and travelers today. The owner is usually there running the place and is kind and helpful. I enjoy stopping in each time as it’s not only convenient, but truly an experience.

The other day, an accident took place at the intersection of this Gulf location which shutdown traffic in both directions. Witnessing the manner in which this business owner disrespectfully spoke to our local EMTs and police officers during a highly stressful, emergency situation will prevent me from ever using his fueling station.

Support local business. Personalized service cannot be bear. Yes, you might pay a little more but at least your money is not going to some greedy corporation. Also, they make food for lunch.

Avoid. Sky high prices. $9.00 for kerosene from the pump. Going rate in the area is ~ $5.99. "Kerosene" was also 'red tinted', not K1.
