For New Jersey drivers, a gas station is an essential part of daily life, serving as a quick stop for fuel, snacks, and other necessities. However, it's crucial for locals to be well-informed about the establishments they choose, especially in today's dynamic environment. In Pleasantville, New Jersey, Garden State Fuels, located at 7054 Black Horse Pike, is one such establishment that warrants a closer look from the perspective of local users.
This article aims to provide a factual and informative overview of Garden State Fuels, based on publicly available information and real customer experiences. Our goal is to help New Jersey residents make informed decisions about where they choose to fuel their vehicles and conduct their business. While every business strives to offer a positive experience, understanding the nuances of individual locations is key to navigating our local communities effectively.
Garden State Fuels is situated at 7054 Black Horse Pike, Pleasantville, NJ 08232, USA. The Black Horse Pike (U.S. Route 322 / U.S. Route 42) is a major thoroughfare in Southern New Jersey, connecting numerous communities and serving as a primary route to Atlantic City and other shore points. This strategic location provides high visibility and direct access for a large volume of traffic, including both local residents and those traveling through the region.
Its position on such a prominent road ensures that the gas station is easily identifiable and typically offers straightforward entry and exit points. This accessibility is crucial for New Jersey drivers who often prioritize efficiency during their stops. While the exact layout of the pumps and convenience store parking area would be observed on-site, the location on a major pike generally implies a design aimed at accommodating a steady flow of vehicles. This makes it a geographically convenient stop for many, regardless of their direction of travel on the Black Horse Pike.
Based on the nature of a typical gas station and insights from customer reviews, Garden State Fuels likely offers the following services:
- Fuel Sales: The primary service would be the sale of various grades of gasoline (e.g., regular, premium). As a gas station, its core function is to provide fuel for vehicles.
- Convenience Store: Most gas stations, particularly those on major roads like the Black Horse Pike, include an on-site convenience store. This would typically offer a selection of snacks, beverages, tobacco products, and perhaps some basic automotive items like oil or wiper fluid. The review mentioning "food is good" implies the presence of a food-service component, likely within the convenience store.
- Bitcoin Machine: A notable and explicitly mentioned feature from a customer review is the presence of a "Bitcoin machine." These machines allow users to buy or sell Bitcoin using cash.
- Restrooms: Public restrooms are typically available for customer use at gas stations, providing an essential amenity for travelers.
Drawing from the provided customer reviews, several features and aspects of Garden State Fuels stand out, offering important insights for New Jersey locals:
- On-Site Food Service: Despite some negative experiences mentioned, one reviewer noted, "the food is good WHEN you’re able to get it." This suggests that the station offers a food option that, when accessible, is appreciated for its quality. This can be a convenience for drivers looking for a quick meal or snack.
- Bitcoin Machine Presence: The explicit mention of a "Bitcoin machine" is a distinctive feature. While some businesses adopt cryptocurrency services, its presence in a gas station setting, especially coupled with the reviewer's concern about scams, makes it a noteworthy, albeit potentially controversial, highlight.
It is important for potential customers to consider that, based on the limited review data, there are significant concerns raised by customers regarding service and safety:
- Allegations of Scams: A serious highlight from reviews is the direct accusation of "scammers sending local victims to this shady gas station... coercing them into sending $$ via Bitcoin machine." This raises a critical red flag for consumer safety and trust. New Jersey residents should exercise extreme caution and verify any requests for money transfers.
- Allegations of Discrimination: Another prominent and deeply concerning highlight is the explicit accusation of discrimination. A reviewer states, "Will NOT get served IN PERSON unless you are of the same culture, you WILL be ignored or denied. YES! Like others discrimination is a thing at this place." Such allegations point to serious issues with customer service and equal treatment, which are fundamental expectations for any public-serving business.
- Inconsistent Service for Food: The phrase "the food is good WHEN you’re able to get it" suggests that while the food itself might be satisfactory, there are significant inconsistencies or difficulties in actually being served, possibly linked to the discrimination claims.
Based on the provided customer reviews and typical operations of gas stations, there is no explicit mention of regular promotions or special offers at Garden State Fuels.
Unlike some larger chain gas stations that might feature loyalty programs, fuel discounts, or specific convenience store deals, the public information for Garden State Fuels does not highlight such initiatives. Given the nature of the customer feedback, the primary focus for potential patrons would likely be on the availability of fuel and the on-site food, rather than advertised discounts or promotions.
Customers interested in any potential offers would need to inquire directly at the station during their visit, as any promotions would likely be advertised in-store rather than through broad public channels. However, the prominent concerns raised in customer reviews might overshadow any promotional benefits for many New Jersey consumers.
For direct inquiries or to confirm specific services and operating hours, you can reach Garden State Fuels using the following contact details:
- Address: 7054 Black Horse Pike, Pleasantville, NJ 08232, USA
- Phone: (609) 641-7234
While gas stations typically offer 24/7 fuel access via pay-at-the-pump, the hours for the convenience store and any food services may vary. It is always advisable to call ahead for specific questions, especially if you plan to visit during non-peak hours or if you have specific needs regarding the on-site food or other amenities.
For New Jersey locals considering Garden State Fuels at 7054 Black Horse Pike in Pleasantville, it is essential to have a complete and factual understanding of the establishment. Geographically, its location on the busy Black Horse Pike makes it easily accessible for a quick fuel stop for those in transit or residing nearby. The presence of on-site food, noted as "good" when available, could be seen as a convenience for drivers needing a quick meal or snack on the go.
However, it is paramount for New Jersey residents to be aware of the serious concerns raised in public customer reviews. Allegations of scam activity involving a Bitcoin machine and, more disturbingly, claims of discrimination based on culture, are significant red flags that potential patrons must consider. In New Jersey, consumer protection and equitable service are fundamental expectations for any business. While the station might offer the basic services of fuel and some food, the nature of these highly negative customer experiences casts a shadow over its suitability as a reliably positive or safe destination for all locals.
Therefore, while its location offers convenience, New Jersey users are strongly advised to approach this establishment with heightened awareness, prioritize personal safety, and consider the detailed experiences shared by other customers before deciding to patronize Garden State Fuels. Supporting local businesses is important, but ensuring one's safety, respect, and fair treatment must always come first.

Scammers are sending local victims to this shady gas station on the B.Horse Pike and coercing them into sending $$ via Bitcoin machine. (Who puts a Bitcoin machine in their gas station in 2024? Think about it.) I went here to see where my friend lost her $ and sure enough, there it is.

I gave this place 5 stars because it's a gas station that you would never think to go in and get food. And the food to be so good! I was put on by a friend from the city. The chicken over rice is amazing. Mac and cheese 7 out of 10. Yes. You read that right lmao. I have got gas from there but I pay cash. Don't feel like cooking on your way home and have $10, give it a try. They do breakfast sandwiches too, from 7-11. You're welcome lol

I thought the chicken sandwich was outstanding. Clean oil, nicely fried, with mayo and pickles. I should've bought 4 of them.
