URBAN XPRESS WASH Introduce
Keeping your car sparkling clean in New York City's dynamic environment, with its changing weather and urban dust, can feel like a never-ending task. For many New Yorkers, a convenient and efficient car wash is not just a luxury, but a necessity to maintain their vehicle's appearance. URBAN XPRESS WASH in The Bronx aims to be that solution, offering an automated car wash experience with a focus on unlimited monthly packages that appeal to frequent washers.
URBAN XPRESS WASH, located at 691 Burke Ave, Bronx, NY 10467, USA, presents itself as a modern automatic car wash facility. Its primary appeal lies in its unlimited monthly wash packages, which are designed for car owners who want to keep their vehicles consistently clean without the high per-wash cost. As one customer noted, especially "with all of the snow and how the car tends to look disgusting," an unlimited option in New York is highly attractive and often more affordable than comparable services elsewhere.
The core experience at URBAN XPRESS WASH is 100% machine-driven, meaning customers drive through an automated system. While this offers speed and convenience, some customers have noted that the machines "are not very gentle on the car," and that a "DIY hand dry" may still be needed to prevent streaks. The facility does not offer interior cleaning services, focusing solely on the exterior. Recent customer feedback also highlights concerns regarding sudden price increases on monthly plans without prior notification, and a previous issue with the phone number not being active, which caused frustration for those trying to get information or cancel subscriptions. Despite these points, its affordability compared to other monthly packages in NYC remains a significant draw for its loyal customer base, making it a viable option for keeping your car "looking fresh at least from the outside."
URBAN XPRESS WASH is conveniently situated at 691 Burke Ave, Bronx, NY 10467, USA. Burke Avenue is a recognizable street in The Bronx, making this car wash relatively accessible for residents in the surrounding neighborhoods, including areas like Baychester, Pelham Parkway, and Gun Hill Road. Its location on a main thoroughfare means it's often an easy stop for those on their daily commute or running errands.
The accessibility of URBAN XPRESS WASH is crucial for its target audience of busy New Yorkers. Being on Burke Avenue allows for straightforward navigation, minimizing detours and maximizing efficiency for customers. While the car wash itself is automated and things "move quickly," the overall ease of getting to the location contributes to its appeal. For Bronx drivers who are looking for a routine and convenient place to maintain their vehicle's exterior cleanliness, the Burke Avenue location positions URBAN XPRESS WASH as a practical choice. Customers often value a car wash that is easily integrated into their regular travel patterns, and this location largely fits that need.
URBAN XPRESS WASH primarily offers automated exterior car washing services, with a strong emphasis on recurring monthly packages.
- Automatic Exterior Car Wash: The core service involves driving your vehicle through a machine-operated wash bay that cleans the car's exterior.
- Unlimited Monthly Wash Packages: This is a key offering, allowing customers to wash their car multiple times a month (e.g., "every week or twice a week") for a flat monthly fee. Packages observed in customer reviews include:
- Second Package (e.g., $24.99 + tax, total ~ $27.21): Provides regular exterior washes.
- Air Dry Option (e.g., $29.99): A higher-tier package likely includes enhanced drying.
- Other tiers (e.g., $19.99/month, $29.99/month, $39/month for higher packages based on website information): The Deluxe, Ultimate, and Spa packages offer varying levels of wash features like Presoak, Wheel Brightener, Rust Protectant, Lava Bath, Tire Shine, Carnauba Wax, Ceramic Coating, and Dry N' Shine.
- DIY Drying: While machine air drying options exist, customers may need to perform their own "DIY hand dry" to prevent streaks, as the machines may not ensure a perfectly spot-free finish.
- No Interior Cleaning: It is explicitly stated by customers that the facility "won't be able to get the inside done at all," meaning customers will need to seek separate services for interior detailing or vacuuming.
- Free Vacuums (Implied/Standard for some packages): While not explicitly stated as universally free with all packages in the reviews, many similar express car washes offer complimentary vacuums for customers, particularly with unlimited plans. However, one review noted that vacuums were not included with a $7 Deluxe Wash, indicating it varies by package.
The focus is on providing a fast, convenient exterior wash at a competitive price, particularly for those who sign up for monthly memberships.
URBAN XPRESS WASH has several key features and highlights that draw customers, as well as some areas that customers note as less ideal:
- Affordable Unlimited Monthly Packages: This is the strongest highlight. Customers praise it as "the most affordable for this service" in New York, especially beneficial for combating the effects of snow and general city grime. The ability to wash frequently without high per-wash costs is a major draw.
- Convenient Automated Wash: The 100% machine-driven process offers speed and efficiency, allowing customers to get their car washed quickly.
- Location Accessibility: Situated on Burke Ave, it's easily accessible for residents across The Bronx, making it a practical stop in their daily routines.
- Friendly Initial Staff Interaction: One customer noted that "The gentleman who does the transactions was pretty nice to me and explained things and how it works and was patient," suggesting positive initial customer service when signing up.
However, it is crucial to also highlight aspects that have been areas of concern for customers:
- Lack of Transparency in Price Changes: Customers expressed significant frustration over price increases ($5.44 more on a monthly package) occurring without prior notification, with signs simply updated and no direct communication. This led to concerns about "FTC rules" and "exploiting a loyal customer."
- Inconsistent Pricing by Staff: One review detailed being charged $10 for a $7 Deluxe Wash by a specific staff member, with a refusal to provide change or a receipt, and claims of a "great memory" dismissing the customer's legitimate concern. This points to potential issues with pricing integrity and staff accountability.
- Non-Gentle Machines & Streaking: The automated machines are described as "not very gentle on the car," and customers may need to "DIY hand dry to prevent streaks in the glass." This indicates that a perfectly pristine, streak-free finish might require extra effort from the customer.
- No Interior Service: Explicitly, the facility does not offer interior cleaning, requiring customers to go elsewhere for this service.
- Poor Communication Channels: Customers reported "no active phone number" and a non-functional website, making it difficult to get updates, inquire about services, or cancel subscriptions without an in-person visit. This is a significant downside for customer support and communication.
The main "special offer" at URBAN XPRESS WASH is its competitive pricing for unlimited monthly car wash packages, which are often considered more affordable compared to other options in the New York area.
- Unlimited Monthly Wash Packages: These are the core promotional offering, providing frequent washes for a flat fee. As of customer reviews, packages might range from $19.99/month up to $29.99/month (or higher, potentially $39/month for top-tier based on general car wash industry pricing).
- Tiered Services: The availability of different wash packages (Deluxe, Ultimate, Spa) allows customers to choose a level of service and associated price point that fits their needs and budget.
However, based on customer feedback, URBAN XPRESS WASH appears to have a significant issue with communicating changes to these offers, specifically regarding price increases. Customers noted that prices simply went up, and signs were changed, without direct notification to existing subscribers. This lack of transparency, particularly for recurring subscription services, is a critical point for potential customers to consider.
Given the communication challenges (non-working phone, non-working website, and lack of direct notifications for price changes), potential customers interested in promotions or special offers are advised to:
- Inquire In-Person: Ask about current pricing and any terms directly from the staff at the time of purchase.
- Confirm All Details for Subscriptions: Before signing up for a monthly package, confirm the current price, what is included, and crucially, the exact process for cancellation, as customers have reported difficulty doing so without an in-person visit due to non-functional contact methods.
While the affordable pricing of unlimited plans is a benefit, the method of communicating changes to these prices is a significant concern highlighted by recent customer experiences.
For direct inquiries about URBAN XPRESS WASH, here is the available contact information:
- Address: 691 Burke Ave, Bronx, NY 10467, USA
- Phone: (347) 913-4024
- Mobile Phone: +1 347-913-4024
However, it is critically important for potential customers to note that recent customer reviews from April 2025 state that the "don't have an active phone number" and that the "website does not work either." This suggests that the listed phone numbers may not be reliably operational, and online resources for information or support may be unavailable. Therefore, for most inquiries, including cancellations of monthly subscriptions, an in-person visit to the location might be the only viable method of communication. This is a significant point for New Yorkers who rely on efficient and accessible communication channels.
For residents of The Bronx, NY, particularly those living near Burke Avenue, URBAN XPRESS WASH offers a compelling option for maintaining their vehicle's exterior cleanliness, primarily due to its highly competitive pricing for unlimited monthly car wash packages. In a city where keeping a car clean can be expensive and time-consuming, the affordability of frequent washes is a significant advantage.
The ability to wash your car "every week or twice a week" for a flat monthly fee, described as "the most affordable for this service" in New York, is a major draw for budget-conscious and meticulous car owners. This provides peace of mind, especially during harsh weather conditions when a car can quickly become "disgusting." The convenient automated process also means a quick in-and-out experience for busy New Yorkers.
However, potential customers should be fully aware of the documented challenges. The lack of transparent communication regarding price changes on subscriptions and the reported issues with inconsistent pricing by some staff members are serious concerns. Furthermore, the absence of interior cleaning services and the need for potential DIY hand drying to achieve a streak-free finish mean that this wash caters specifically to exterior cleaning needs. The reported unreliability of phone and website communication also means that managing subscriptions or seeking customer support may require an in-person visit, which can be a hassle.
Despite these operational drawbacks, for New Yorkers prioritizing the sheer value and frequency of exterior washes, URBAN XPRESS WASH remains a viable choice. Its affordability for unlimited washes offers a unique selling point in the local market. For those who are comfortable with a machine-only exterior wash and are prepared for potentially limited direct customer support, it provides an economical way to keep their car looking presentable on the outside.

URBAN XPRESS WASH Customer Reviews
4/27/25 I just went there and I spoke to the Hispanic gentleman that was there. I showed him my 2 most recent transactions. Yea turns out this has been happening since March. (Honestly I really did not go in March because of the weather and timing.) So he just tells me that the price went up by $5 pretty much. The one thing that really frustrates me. I don't think that it is a good practice to just change prices and change the signs and just kind of act like nothing is happening. The only reason why I will still keep them for now is because even though the price went up they're still the most affordable for this service. I think according to FTC rules this violates that because Uber just got in trouble for doing the same thing with subscriptions. So just keep that in mind when you give your card number for a subscription. They should definitely invest in a text message service or something for updates and to let people know if they are closed or price changes etc. Update 4/26/25 I just noticed I usually get charged 27.21 but was charged 32.65 which is 5.44 MORE. They don't have an active phone number so I have to go there and find out what is going on. Today was my first day (Jan/25) giving this place a shot because I have been looking for something that is unlimited especially with all of the snow and how the car tends to look disgusting. Honestly in New York a lot of places charge A LOT more for a monthly package. The gentleman who does the transactions was pretty nice to me and explained things and how it works and was patient .I ended up getting the second package $24.99. I can come more frequently and keep my car looking fresh at least from the outside lol. I can come here literally every week or twice a week depending on how my day looks. I must say the machines are not very gentle on the car, and you may still have to go in and rub a little yourself or DIY hand dry to prevent streaks in the glass and so those are probably downsides for me and I do like at least when someone comes and puts that stuff on the tires to make it shiny or hand dries it will towels real quick. With this place everything is DIY and done all 100% with machines and you can't stay in the front too long because things move quickly so you gotta get out of the way to hand dry yourself unless you do the air dry 29.99 option which still probably won't be as good as someone doing the final touches (but I personally didn't try the air dry so I can't say). Another downside here is that you won't be able to get the inside done at all so for me I will definitely have to go somewhere else at least once a month. With that being said I may lower my package to the first package but I'm still thinking about it. The total was about $27.21 for the 24.99 package with tax. I think that there are a lot of benefits to the monthly package. It does seem like it would be a hassle in order to quit the package because honestly the phones didn't work I did try to call a few times before I actually went there and the website does not work either so I'm assuming the only way to cancel would be to come in. I hope that this helps someone who is trying to decide if they want to move forward with getting a wash here.

I recently visited this location, and unfortunately, I had a very disappointing experience. I stopped by for a quick exterior wash since I don’t live in the area and saw the Deluxe Wash advertised for $7. I handed a $10 bill to a tall man wearing a beige jacket, and he told me the cost was $10. I clarified that I asked for the Deluxe Wash, which is $7, as per the sign. At that point, another staff member handed me a flyer and mentioned their unlimited plan. I declined, explaining that I wasn’t in the area often, but he encouraged me to take the flyer to share with a friend and let me know they also have a location in Jersey City. He then allowed me to proceed through. At the end of the wash, I stopped at the vacuums, only to be told by the same man that they weren’t included in the Deluxe Wash package, which was fine. However, when I asked for my change, I was told I needed a receipt—one I had never been given. He walked back to speak with the other employee and then returned, stating that I would be charged $10 anyway. When I explained that I hadn’t agreed to this, he insisted he had a “great memory” and claimed I had said otherwise. This experience was frustrating and unprofessional. My issue isn’t about the $3—it’s about being charged for something I didn’t agree to and then being dismissed when I raised my concern. If the employee’s memory was truly so great, the situation would have been handled correctly from the start. I’m very disappointed and won’t be returning.

I have the 30-day pass cool, not the best result with shine, but as for money, it's worth it . plus the 3 works are great. didn't give a 5 star because the soap is just too watered down.

Always having an issue with one guy, rushes me when using vacuum. Then allow others to be there a lot longer. Don't pre spray car with water. Doesn't even get up to direct you so you don't scratch your wheels. Always closed, even if it just rains a little. Not worth paying monthly when it's closed 10 days out of the month. There is one supervisor there and if you tell him the complaints he just listens to you but doesn't do anything about it I asked him if there's any number or email that I could report these issues to with the worker
