Services Offered

Swell's Car Wash provides a range of services to accommodate various cleaning needs, from a quick rinse to a more thorough wash. Their offerings primarily include:

  • Automatic Drive-Through Car Wash: For those who prefer a quick and effortless clean, the automatic drive-through option is ideal. This is a great choice when you're short on time but still want a well-maintained vehicle.
  • Self-Service Wash Bays: For drivers who enjoy a hands-on approach, or have specific cleaning needs, the self-service bays offer greater control. These bays are equipped with high-pressure hoses and various wash applications. You can choose to use pre-wash, soap, rinse, and wax options to get your car clean exactly the way you like it. This option is particularly useful for tackling stubborn dirt, detailed cleaning, or for vehicles that may not fit in an automatic wash. It's important to be mindful of the timer in these bays, as time is typically charged per minute or per quarter.

Swell's Car Wash Customer Reviews

Honestly it was not what I was expecting to have to deal with the other night. Completely, in my opinion unprofessional and just bad business. I have been there before, years ago I don't remember the prices, not sure if they have changed. Was planning on going through the drive through initially, they were closed which was fine it was later at night about 8. So I proceeded to wash on my own. I just really needed to get all the salt and road crude off my car, which is about a month old, small crossover Kia. Anyway so i pulled in self service, it was very cold, but that didn't bother me and I was dressed appropriately. First I tried my debit and credit cards, the machine would not work for me, it seemed like it had registered, which I'll have to check my accounts, but when I went to press which wash applications to start with, nothing. So I took a $10 tip I had gotten earlier that night, and got quarters, now I know I should have just thrown the whole 10 in, but I wasn't there for a complete package, which would cost probably 20 on your own with a small vehicle maybe 40 for a truck . That isn't a partially washed vehicle. Not going for perfection but just want to be able to scrub it quick and give it a rinse, ok so ya the 5 minutes was probably unrealistic now that i think about it. Anyways I put the initial 5 in I used some of the prewash , probably pointless, 1st it took probably about 15 to 20 sec for the different soaps to change over in the hoses, which is to be expected, Honestly at this point I feel like an idiot, then I'm running around trying to use the different hoses, and they are getting tangled up above and scraping across my car. The point of the story here is , I did not have any more cash on me and wanted to make sure I could give my small car a quick simple wash, maybe even a little wax but if not , fine cool. Before I know it the timer is going off and the top of my car is covered in the soap. I'm ready to rinse but with the power washers it takes +several minutes at least another 5 just to rinse, so I'm fumbling these quarters in my hands to put them in the machine as I put them in I noticed the timer isn't (stopping , and each quarter is adding i don't know maybe 15 seconds, I could be wrong , then I dropped a few, had gloves on. So basically I got to the point where I put the rest of my five in probably lost about 2 dollars or so in all the water and I wasnt going to try and look with that timer running while I'm not even using the wash. So I finished with soap all on the top of my car. Wheels soapy and I tried to put in the 75 cents that I could find on the ground , nope had to do $5, so whoever goes there next y'all get a small discount from me lol. so I took about 20 minutes with the minimal stream that comes out of the power nozxles and has to pressurize every 30 seconds. And like I said it was cold. I wasn't planning on holding a power washers for almost 45 minutes.Fingers were just about frost bit. Maybe that's my bad. I'm going to call and ask for a refund. The point of my story here is. If you want to just do a basic soap wash, spray your tires , a really quick brush and then rinse, I would put in 15 to $20 right off the bat and mind you I have a very small vehicle. So probably 20 minimum. I would ask the owner to adjust if possible or change the machine to stop when you add more coins . Or at least have it stated on the instructions, the rest of the instructions were plainly stated. I feel that a customer shouldn't have to run around their car just to spray it down . Or make the initial start $10 or $15 because no one is washing therea car in 5 minutes. {That's what the 5 dollars gets you} so that's $1 a minute 20 quarters , ok so ya 15 sec a quarter but when you are putting quarters in and then having to reselect and go back to your car with the timer running .....not copacetic. I see no reason you shouldn't be able to stop the timer . if your not using water then there's really no cost to them, maybe there is a stop button. If owner speaks with me and understands what I'm trying say

They still have self wash bays so it's a plus in my book. The auto carwash uses the old style brushes so I would t recommend using it
