Located conveniently on Lee Highway, this particular branch has been a go-to spot for many local residents seeking to keep their vehicles presentable. Historically, a notable feature that attracted many customers was the availability of free vacuum services, making it a popular choice for both exterior washes and interior clean-ups. However, recent customer feedback indicates that there have been significant changes regarding the access to these vacuum services, shifting from a complimentary offering to one tied to a paid wash subscription. This change has understandably impacted the customer experience and perceptions of value, and it's important for potential visitors to be aware of these updates before planning their visit. While the facility continues to offer car wash services, the terms of accessing amenities like vacuums have evolved, influencing the overall proposition for the community.

Services Offered

Based on customer experiences, Mr Wash Car Wash at this Centreville location primarily offers:

  • Car Wash Services: The core offering remains exterior car washing. While specific wash packages (e.g., basic, premium, wax applications) are not detailed in the provided reviews, it is typical for car wash chains like Mr Wash to offer a range of options varying in price and features. Customers have noted experiences with various wash levels, with some finding the higher-priced options to be "sub par" in terms of effectiveness.
  • Vacuum Services (with recent changes): Previously, free vacuum services were a major draw for this location. However, recent customer feedback explicitly states that vacuums are "no longer available to use unless you pay for the subscription" or purchase a "sub par $30 single car wash." This indicates a shift in policy where vacuum access is now contingent on purchasing a car wash service or membership. This change is a critical point for potential customers, especially those who previously relied on the free vacuum amenity.

Conclusion: Why this place is suitable for locals

For residents of Centreville, VA, Mr Wash Car Wash on Lee Highway presents a convenient option for maintaining their vehicles. Its prime location on a major thoroughfare ensures easy access for daily commuters and those running errands, making it a practical choice for quick car care. While the recent change regarding the availability of free vacuums has clearly impacted some long-time customers, it's important for new and returning patrons to be aware that vacuum access is now typically tied to a purchased wash or a subscription. This shift means that while the convenience of having vacuums on-site remains, the cost structure has changed. For individuals who prefer an automated wash experience and are willing to invest in a wash package or subscription that includes vacuum access, this location still offers a solution for both exterior cleaning and interior tidiness. However, those solely seeking complimentary vacuum services, as previously offered, will need to adjust their expectations or explore alternative options. Ultimately, for locals prioritizing location convenience for an automatic car wash system, and who are prepared for the current pricing model for all services, Mr Wash Car Wash remains a relevant option in Centreville.

Mr Wash Car Wash Customer Reviews

Have used this service in the past after a quick vacuum but it is way too expensive to do often. I had come here a few times to use the free vacuum but it seems they are no longer available to use unless you pay for the subscription. Attendant said there are signs up that say this but after driving by again I didn't see anything outside of the "free vacuum" advertisements everywhere. Better off getting your car washed elsewhere. Today will be my last time using this location.

Apartment living sucks, and sometimes, you just need a convenient place to vacuum your car. Up until now, the vacuums were free. Now they've changed it and you have to buy a sub par $30 single car wash that doesnt do a good job at all. Should've just ran over the cones they put up and left. Sign still says free vacuums out front. Rip offs

Needs a lot of work. The euipment will clean your car but the compay equipment is old and from the previous owner. You can tell they cheaped out on quality and focus on quantity of washes. If you have dirty wheels, forget about it. Spend the time on some strong chemicals from the store. Price. Terrible. After knowing the ins and outs from personal experience working in carwashes for 2 years. I can tell you they're over charging by a longshot. The wash should be worth $10 for 1 time and membership should be maximum $20/mo. The "extrashine" isn't going to make a difference. The water isn't reverse Osmosis either, meaning when it dries up, it shows mineral stains. The blowers are inneficient, they point towards the wrong angles and push water to the sides, not back. That's why there's a cloth machine at the end, called dry and shine. Dirty black cloths that will scratch your car. If the water were RO (Reverse Osmosis), that section would be useless since the evaporated water wouldn't leave any marks. At all... That section should be used for tire finish, shine, gloss... That's what would make it worth $30/mo. Management is poor. If you have an issue, good luck. They basically throw your situation in the trash unless you bring up a lawyer. Unfortunately that's the 'best wash" in Centreville. The company has internal problems that unfortunately aren't allowing the necessary changes to be made. People will happily pay if the service is great, not average.

Absolutely terrible car wash haha. Cancelling my membership asap. Will scratch the absolute dog out of your car. Old manager guy wouldn’t let me use “free vacuumes” 30 mins before closing. Told him I had a membership but wasn’t planning on washing today. He said nah don’t care with a nasty attitude. Going back tomorrow to ask for his name and to kick rocks.

- The wash was good, and the dry was even better. Normally car washes leave water behind and this didn't so that was a surprise. - The prices are way too high, so I won't be returning. A single wash was $30 and that's thre same price as there monthly service.. That's crazy. - You can't see the prices from the street which force you to have to go in, but once you do your trapped. You can't really change your mind and leave. All the while the layout is funky so people are back up almost hitting you from the vacuum section. Once your out of the automated washer you have no where to pull your mirrors back out without blocking those behind you. Overall is was an expensive headache, but my car is clean. Still "shopping around" for a better overall experience.
