Howard's Car Wash, located at 234 E El Segundo Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90061, provides self-service car wash facilities. As a "Car Wash Near Me" option, it offers vehicle cleaning solutions to residents in the area. They can be reached at (310) 327-2734.

Customer reviews for Howard's Car Wash present a mixed picture, with some positive aspects and notable drawbacks. One customer noted that during warmer months, the car wash sees increased traffic, but mornings during the week generally have minimal wait times.

However, another customer reported issues with the coin slot in one of the stalls, experiencing problems with quarters being rejected and a lost quarter. They also mentioned the absence of an attendant to assist with these issues. This customer also indicated that the price is $1.50 to start, and then additional quarters are needed for extended time, cash only, and that the price may have risen recently.

Another customer had a generally positive experience, noting quick turnaround times, friendly staff, and ample parking for drying. They appreciated the availability of a cloth wash corner for drying with a single towel. However, this same customer also reported a negative experience concerning the water quality. They described a "gross smell" in the water, which affected the soap and brush, and noted that the smell lingered on hands and the car. They also mentioned low water pressure.

These reviews suggest that Howard's Car Wash offers a self-service option with quick turnaround times and friendly staff, but potential customers should be aware of potential coin slot issues, water quality concerns, and the need for cash. The car wash appears to be more crowded during warmer days.

Potential customers should be aware of possible coin slot issues, water smell and pressure issues. Cash only is accepted. Staff is reported to be friendly. Weekday mornings have minimal wait times.

In summary, Howard's Car Wash offers self-service car wash facilities in Los Angeles, CA. Customer reviews highlight potential coin slot issues, water smell concerns, but also quick turnaround and friendly staff.

Howard's Car Wash Customer Reviews

[UPDATE] as the warm days continue this summer, I see more people come out and wash their cars. Still not a whole lot of wait in the morning during the week though. I had never used the first stall (right next to the booth with the shutter down), and it was the only stall open at the time, so I used it. The coin slot had a bit of issue in that it spat out the half of the quarters, like 5 minute worth, that I dropped in at first. I had to remove them first before re-dropping into the slot. I saw the last quarter stuck in the bottom of the return holder but when I tried to reach it, it disappeared underneath without adding any time. And no attendant was around to help me with that. It takes away one star from the rating. ————————— There was no wait when I got there before 9:30 am. But by the time I dried my car and left, it was busy and several cars were waiting for their turns. It’s $1.50 to begin. And then you keep feeding quarters for extended time. No credit card. But overall, the turnaround is quick. It appears the price has gone up as of the new year? I didn’t come here before, so I wouldn’t know. They only take $1 or $5 bills to exchange for quarters. My car was quite dirty, particularly with the snow and salt from the recent out of town trip, so it took a while to finish washing. The attendant was friendly and was quick to break my $10 bill for 2 $5s. Plenty of spots to park and dry your cars after washing. I like the fact that they have a cloth wash corner so that I could continue drying my car with only one towel.

After using all the washing stations I’ve noticed that the water has a gross smell. It gets mixed into the soap and brush. The smell stays on your hands and car. Not only that but the water pressure is low. Not worth the hassle.

First, I like it because it was clean and everything worked. I used 6 dollars total for my car, wash and vacuum. I will come back again. Thank you

The two locations on El Segundo Blvd and Vermont Ave. are very easy to get to: also the individual car wash stalls are kept clean and working properly.
