For Massachusetts drivers, keeping a vehicle clean year-round can be a constant battle against the elements – from the notorious winter salt and grime to spring pollen and summer dust. In Bridgewater, local residents often seek out convenient options for car care. One such place is Ed's Saw Car Wash, a self-service facility that aims to provide a space for individuals to take matters into their own hands and get their vehicles sparkling.
Self-service car washes are a popular choice for many, offering the flexibility to wash your car at your own pace and control the cleaning process. Unlike automated tunnels, these bays provide the tools you need to tackle specific areas of your car. Ed's Saw Car Wash, located in Bridgewater, offers these self-wash bays, inviting local users to utilize their equipment for a DIY clean. However, like any facility, understanding its current state and what other local users have experienced is important for setting realistic expectations and making the most of your visit.
Ed's Saw Car Wash is located in Bridgewater, MA 02324, USA. While a precise street address isn't widely available in public data beyond the town and zip code, its presence within Bridgewater suggests it's easily accessible for residents of the town and potentially for those in surrounding communities in southeastern Massachusetts. Car washes are typically situated on main roads or in areas with high traffic, making them convenient for quick stops during daily errands or commutes.
For Massachusetts locals, particularly in the South Shore and MetroWest areas, accessibility to services is a key convenience. A car wash within Bridgewater means reduced travel time for routine vehicle maintenance. This allows drivers to fit a wash into their busy schedules without significant detours. While the exact street address would offer more precise navigation, its presence in Bridgewater makes it a known option for local car owners seeking a self-service cleaning solution.
As a self-service car wash, Ed's Saw Car Wash provides the equipment and space for customers to manually wash their vehicles. Based on typical self-service car wash offerings and customer feedback, the services would generally include:
- High-Pressure Guns/Wands: Essential for rinsing off loose dirt and applying soap solutions. Customer reviews confirm the presence of "high pressure guns."
- Foaming Brush: A brush designed to dispense a soapy foam for scrubbing stubborn grime. However, customer feedback indicates this feature is often problematic, with "Half the time the foaming brush doesn't work."
- Soap/Detergent Application: Options for dispensing car wash soap through the high-pressure wand or foaming brush.
- Rinse Cycle: A standard water rinse to remove cleaning agents and loosened dirt.
- Wax/Protectant Options: Features to apply a protective wax or sealant to the vehicle's surface.
- Spot-Free Rinse: A final rinse with demineralized water to prevent water spots from drying on the car's paint.
- Vacuum Stations: Separate vacuums for interior cleaning, allowing users to remove dirt and debris from carpets and upholstery. Customer reviews, however, frequently mention issues with these, stating "Half the time the vacuums don't work."
It's important for potential users to note that while these services are typically offered, customer reviews suggest frequent issues with the functionality and reliability of some key equipment, particularly the foaming brush and vacuums.
Based on the nature of a self-service car wash and the provided customer reviews, here are some features and key highlights of Ed's Saw Car Wash:
- DIY Flexibility: The main feature is empowering customers to control their own car washing experience. This allows for focused cleaning on specific areas and the ability to wash at one's own pace, a plus for those who prefer not to use automatic washes.
- High-Pressure Guns: Customers have noted that the "High pressure guns still" work, which is a fundamental component for effective rinsing and cleaning in a self-service bay.
- 24/7 Accessibility (Likely): Most self-service car washes operate around the clock, providing convenience for Massachusetts drivers to clean their vehicles at any time, day or night.
- On-Site Vacuum Stations (with issues): The availability of vacuums for interior cleaning is a useful amenity, although repeated customer feedback highlights significant reliability problems, with them often being non-functional.
- Frequent Equipment Malfunctions: This is a recurring and significant highlight from customer reviews. The "foaming brush doesn't work" half the time, the hose for it is "broken somewhere" leading to users getting soap on themselves, and the "vacuums don't work" half the time. This indicates a consistent issue with equipment maintenance and functionality.
- Out-of-Order Vending Machines: Reviews specifically mention that "All the vending machines were out of order and looked to be so for quite some time," which can be an inconvenience for those needing additional cleaning products or air fresheners.
- Concerns about Maintenance: Customers express frustration, urging the business to "fix the place up," suggesting a perceived lack of investment in keeping the facility in good working order.
Given that Ed's Saw Car Wash is an unattended, self-service facility, detailed promotions or special offers are not typically advertised widely online. Any deals would likely be posted directly at the car wash bays or on vending machines, if they were operational. Without a formal website or direct contact person for promotions, it's challenging for local Massachusetts users to find out about any current specials. Common promotions at such facilities might include:
- Token or Card Discounts: Offering a slight discount for purchasing wash tokens in bulk or for loading a certain amount onto a reusable wash card.
- Bundled Time: Providing extra wash time for a set payment amount during off-peak hours.
However, due to the reported issues with vending machines and the general state of maintenance, it's difficult to confirm if any such offers are consistently available or functioning at Ed's Saw Car Wash. Customers interested in potential savings would need to physically visit the location and check for any signage, keeping in mind the reported equipment issues.
For Ed's Saw Car Wash, the primary publicly available contact information is its location:
Address: Bridgewater, MA 02324, USA
Unfortunately, a consistent and reliable public phone number for direct customer service or inquiries about Ed's Saw Car Wash is not readily available through common online searches or customer reviews. This lack of a direct contact number can be a significant challenge for customers who encounter issues with malfunctioning equipment, as highlighted by numerous reviews. Without a phone number, resolving problems such as a broken foaming brush, a leaking hose, or a non-working vacuum becomes difficult for the user on-site.
For Massachusetts locals in the Bridgewater area seeking a basic, do-it-yourself car wash experience, Ed's Saw Car Wash offers self-service bays for exterior cleaning. Its presence within Bridgewater makes it a convenient option for quick stops when a full detail isn't necessary, allowing drivers to tackle surface dirt on their own terms. The availability of high-pressure guns is a fundamental positive, providing the essential tool for rinsing vehicles.
However, it is imperative for local users to be fully aware of the significant and recurring concerns expressed in customer reviews. The consistent reports of malfunctioning equipment, specifically the foaming brush, leaky hoses, and non-functional vacuums, point to a substantial issue with the overall reliability and maintenance of the facility. Customers have explicitly stated frustration over spending money on services that do not work, leading to a diminished value proposition. Furthermore, the absence of a readily available customer service phone number means that addressing these issues on the spot or seeking refunds for non-working equipment can be extremely challenging, if not impossible.
While the concept of a self-service car wash provides flexibility, the reported state of Ed's Saw Car Wash suggests that it may not consistently deliver a fully functional or satisfactory experience. For Massachusetts drivers who prioritize reliable equipment and a hassle-free wash, or those who rely on features like working vacuums and foaming brushes, it would be prudent to temper expectations or consider alternative car wash options in the Bridgewater area that have more positive feedback regarding their operational status.

This place was awesome at one point. High pressure guns still. Half the time the foaming brush doesn't work and if it does you get it all over you because the hose is broken somewhere. Half the time the vacuums don't work. Come on man fix the place up. I wash my truck enough to know you can afford to fix things.

All the vending machines were out of order and looked to be so for quite some time, vacuums were hit or miss too, but the wash worked. Pretty sure I saw some kind of shady deal happening while there.
