Youngstown cycle and speed Introduce
Youngstown Cycle & Speed, despite its name, is a remarkably diverse establishment that goes far beyond a typical "Auto Repair Station" as one might envision for conventional cars. While it certainly operates within the broader category of vehicle repair and sales, its specialization lies in two-wheeled vehicles, classic cars, and even custom metal fabrication. Having recently relocated to 124 S. Market St. in downtown Lisbon, Ohio, this business offers a unique blend of services, drawing on a rich history of over 55 years, with owner/operator Adam Pratt at the helm for the past five years. This introduction will detail the environment, services, distinguishing features, and any promotional information pertaining to Youngstown Cycle & Speed, based on available public information.
The "environment" at Youngstown Cycle & Speed is distinctive, aiming to evoke the feel of a "1960s style speed shop." The owner, Adam Pratt, has actively sought to incorporate elements of the former Bye & Bye Hardware building, where they are now located, such as the store's original wooden cupboards, into their new shop. This suggests a blend of nostalgic charm with functional workshop aesthetics. Customers entering the shop can expect to see an array of motorcycles, parts, shirts, hats, helmets, and riding gear, all contributing to an immersive atmosphere for motorcycle and classic vehicle enthusiasts. The facility is large enough to accommodate not only motorcycle repairs but also hot rods and Jeeps, indicating spacious bays and specialized equipment for larger vehicles. The environment also subtly showcases their artistic capabilities, as they produce custom metal signs and industrial metalwork, which might be on display. The move to Lisbon was driven by the appeal of the building and the small-town feeling of the community, which suggests a welcoming and accessible atmosphere for local residents and visitors alike. The business hours are structured to cater to customers, typically 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, with Thursdays by appointment and closed on Sundays.
Youngstown Cycle & Speed offers a surprisingly broad spectrum of "services" that extend beyond typical motorcycle repair. Their core offerings include general repair services for motorcycles, encompassing routine maintenance, diagnostics, and addressing various mechanical issues. However, their expertise stretches further into specialized areas. They are known for "custom paint and fabrication," allowing for personalized finishes and custom-built components for motorcycles and other vehicles. This highlights a blend of technical skill and artistic craftsmanship. Beyond motorcycles, they also service and sell "hot rods and Jeeps," indicating capabilities in classic car restoration, modification, and maintenance. A significant portion of their business is dedicated to "artwork," specifically specializing in custom metal work. This includes creating custom metal signs for businesses, communities, family names, holidays, and birthday gifts. Examples of their metal work can be seen in local public spaces, such as archway signs at Leetonia's pocket park and Wurster Memorial Park. Furthermore, they cater to "industrial customers" by manufacturing "industrial bracketing" and producing "tractor parts," along with "pretty much anything formed out of metal." This diversification into industrial metal fabrication sets them apart from most auto repair stations, demonstrating their versatility and skilled metalworking capabilities. They also sell parts, shirts, hats, helmets, and riding gear, functioning as a retail outlet for enthusiasts.
Several "features" make Youngstown Cycle & Speed a unique and compelling point of interest. Their "1960s style speed shop" vibe provides a distinctive customer experience, appealing to those who appreciate vintage aesthetics and a classic automotive culture. The long history of the business, spanning over five decades, underscores their established presence and expertise in the field. A key differentiating feature is their dual specialization: not only do they provide comprehensive motorcycle repair and custom builds, but they also extend their services to hot rods and Jeeps, catering to a niche but passionate segment of vehicle owners. The significant emphasis on "custom metal work and fabrication" is another unique selling point. This allows them to create bespoke parts, custom designs, and artistic metal pieces that are rare offerings for a typical auto repair shop. Their involvement in manufacturing "industrial bracketing" and "tractor parts" further highlights their advanced metalworking capabilities and diverse client base, from individual enthusiasts to industrial partners. Their commitment to community involvement is also a notable feature, as evidenced by their annual toy drive for Akron Children's Hospital, often linked with community events like their grand opening show. This civic engagement adds a layer of community goodwill to their business operations. The owner's personal passion for the small-town atmosphere of Lisbon, as a reason for their relocation, contributes to a friendly and community-oriented approach to customer service.
Regarding "promotional information," while specific, ongoing discount codes or seasonal sales are not extensively advertised through public information, Youngstown Cycle & Speed leverages community events and their unique offerings as promotional tools. Their grand opening at the new Lisbon location, for instance, was celebrated with a "Hogs & Hot Rods Bike & Car Show," featuring food trucks and live bands. Such events not only serve as a grand opening but also act as a significant promotional activity, attracting large crowds and showcasing their diverse capabilities. The entry fee for the car and bike show participants is often directed towards their annual toy drive for Akron Children's Hospital, which is a powerful form of community-oriented promotion, aligning their business with a charitable cause. They actively use social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram to provide continuously updated information, which would be the primary channels for any immediate announcements regarding services, new custom projects, or potential localized promotions. While not traditional discounts, their ability to "custom build motorcycles" and provide "custom paint and fabrication" can be seen as a premium service offering that appeals to specific clientele willing to invest in unique vehicles. For the most current updates on events, specific custom projects, or potential service specials, prospective customers are encouraged to follow their social media pages or contact them directly.
In conclusion, Youngstown Cycle & Speed in Lisbon, Ohio, is a multifaceted "Auto Repair Station" that brilliantly merges a passion for cycles and speed with extensive metal fabrication expertise. Its environment evokes a classic speed shop, offering a welcoming space for enthusiasts. The services are remarkably diverse, spanning motorcycle repair and custom builds to hot rod and Jeep service, alongside a significant focus on custom artistic and industrial metalwork. Unique features include their specialization in custom fabrication, their 1960s aesthetic, and their active community involvement. While direct promotional discounts are not widely publicized, their engagement in community events and their unique service offerings serve as powerful attractors. For local users, Youngstown Cycle & Speed is more than just a repair shop; it's a destination for unique vehicle services, custom creations, and a part of the local community's vibrant automotive culture.

Youngstown cycle and speed Customer Reviews
Not a good place to get work done, over priced parts and nothing was actually done right on the bike, clutch wasn't put on correctly and other things that were disappointing with just all around not that great of a business, if there was a way to put negative stars I would. I could go into detail but they know they were doing me and my bike wrong!! Sad
