Well unfortunately after rebuilding my engine it still has problems even after 6 return attempts to repair . Yes I got towed back or dropped back off the car 6 times and needed to go back a 7th but they want to charge me for a fuel injector rebuild now. They said they rebuilt the engine and didnt service the injectors . ( I just bought a set of 8 rebuilt injectors I haven't installed yet for $90 elsewhere) When at first visit when told the engine needed rebuild I asked is there anything else possible bad? He said we did our due diligence testing and are positive thats it . (Exact words) but that doesnt include some hoses belts etc I said just do it all I want it 100% fixed. (The original receipt does claim fuel injector service on some cylinders including the one that's bad now #2. The cost on the bill for that item $360.00. And $110.00. Pic attached) The first time picking up it it would not shift right and stopped moving forward intermittently I made it back to the garage and left it .they sent it to a trans shop that supposedly changed clutches ( I didn't get called for approval to replace parts) Then I picked it up again it died exactly the same way with the same symptom it had before the rebuild. It made it 1.5 blocks from the garage. When I picked it up it had no gas and light on it ran out of gas 1.5 blocks from the garage. The fuel pump then failed and I had to buy a new pump. Which they installed labor free. Then the speedometer sensor failed and they claim they changed it but my speedometer dropped to zero mph on the freeway at 65 or so after they did that. Now my car runs on 7 cylinders shifts funny speedometer fails intermittently and gas gauge drifts and jumps to full then empty and back sometimes. And for that I only paid 5k so far. This was my experience minus many boring details. After all alot transpired in 2 months of the car being repaired while only driving it blocks and once to Beverly Hills from the valley between dropping back because of failure. This car only had 85k miles I'm the original owner it not like it's been run hard. I guess it's just one of the bad cases. Dont get me wrong they tried. They really tried hard. But my car is still inoperable. And I am still renting a car. After further inspection I have found that they claim to have changed coil #4 Attached is a pic of coil #4 from today's edit Alan Cyr

Had my car towed here by AAA. Had my car returned to me with the check engine light still on and service light flashed on in about 1.5 miles in. Clearly did a code wipe and didn't do a thorough diagnostic. Light are still on, engine runs rough, and now the radio doesn't even work (crossed wires). I wouldn't even bother letting them put their hands in my car again. Highly recommend taking your vehicle elsewhere.

I had my truck towed in for what I thought was a broken fuel pump. The problems only were slightly improved. When I picked it up, it ran poorly. Bringing it back, they quoted a 500 potential tune up to find out what the problem was. A layperson like myself saw that the cable the first spark plug was frayed and messed up. My poor review was for them clearly not even checking the ignition system before calling me in. Also, that tune up quote was super over priced.

I have used Westside several times for repairs and very satisfied. I was told by a Goodyear service shop recently my front right ball joint needed to be replaced (expensive). Westside checked the front end and found it was only a tire balance that was needed. Major savings for me and much appreciated. Very honest folks which is hard to find these days. Steve is very easy to work with and friendly personality.

Westside auto Growing up you always here how important it is to know a good lawyer, a good doctor, a good barber and a good mechanic. Let me help you with the later and introduce you to Steve Fasoline of Westside Automotive in Canoga Park. Located in a shop on Eton Avenue, just north of Sherman Way, Steve is dying breed. Honest, hard working and always looking to help. I was initially referred to him via my AAA membership service; and let me tell you Steve takes his high AAA certification very serious. The few times I’ve needed his help, “Uncle Steve” asked me to come over immediately and he’d “check it out” right away for me. He’s not really but he sure treats me like family. I have an older grand Cherokee and as fate would have it, Steve keeps a few older Cherokees running for recreational purposes. It’s been tough finding a good mechanic since my friends retired; and there are not many people I’d say this about, much less a mechanic: I trust Steve. He does great work and charges a fair price. Do not pass go but go directly to Steve Fasoline at Westside Automotive in Canoga Park with your auto repair and maintenance issues. You won’t be sorry.
