With its extensive network of over twenty locations across states including Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Ohio, and a fleet of more than one hundred mobile service trucks, W&B Service Co. is a leading provider of comprehensive solutions for transport refrigeration, semi-trailers, and commercial trucks. While the specific address for "Scott's Commercial Truck Services" is no longer the primary focus, the integrated W&B Service Co. network ensures widespread accessibility for local users in various regions. For instance, a notable location is 5930 Benore Road, Toledo, OH 43612, with a contact number of (419) 729-7888. This broad geographical reach and mobile service capability underscore their commitment to keeping commercial fleets operational and on schedule, regardless of their location.

The environment at W&B Service Co. locations is geared towards the specialized needs of the commercial transport sector. This implies large, well-equipped service bays capable of accommodating semi-trailers and heavy-duty trucks. While specific details about customer waiting areas are not widely publicized, the focus is undoubtedly on efficient service to minimize vehicle downtime, which is critical for their commercial clients. Their multiple physical locations are complemented by an extensive fleet of mobile service trucks, effectively extending their "repair station" environment directly to the customer's location, whether it's on the side of a highway or at a fleet yard. This robust infrastructure and the 24/7 emergency service availability highlight an operational environment built for reliability and rapid response in the demanding transportation industry. Shops are generally open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with emergency services available around the clock.

As a specialized "Auto Repair Station," W&B Service Co. offers a comprehensive suite of services and goods tailored for commercial transportation equipment. Their offerings go far beyond typical automotive repair, focusing on the heavy-duty sector:

  • **Transport Refrigeration Sales and Service:** This is a core specialization. W&B Service Co. is noted as Carrier Transicold's oldest and largest transport refrigeration dealer. They provide new and used refrigeration units, parts, and complete service for all makes and models of refrigeration units, including those from Carrier and Thermoking. They also offer loaner units and booster units to protect valuable cargo in case of a breakdown.

  • **Semi-Trailer Sales and Service:** They are the nation's largest full-service Hyundai Translead trailer dealer, offering new and pre-owned refrigerated and dry van trailers, as well as heavy haul and platform trailers. Their service department handles complete trailer repair, including structural, electrical, and brake systems.

  • **Truck Body and Liftgate Repair:** Beyond trailers, they also provide repair services for truck bodies and liftgates, crucial components for many commercial operations.

  • **Aftermarket Parts Sales:** They maintain a large inventory of supporting parts for refrigeration units and trailers, including new and used engines for Carrier and Thermoking, ensuring quick access to necessary components for repairs.

  • **Mobile Service:** A significant aspect of their service delivery is their fleet of over 100 mobile service trucks. These fully equipped units can perform repairs and maintenance on-site, minimizing the need for vehicles to be brought into a shop, which is invaluable for commercial operators.

  • **24/7 Emergency Service:** Recognizing the critical nature of commercial transport, W&B Service Co. provides emergency service around the clock, 365 days a year, ensuring that breakdowns can be addressed swiftly to prevent cargo loss or significant operational delays.

The features that set W&B Service Co. apart are deeply rooted in their specialized focus and expansive operational capabilities:

  • **Specialized Expertise:** Their status as a leading dealer for Carrier Transicold and Hyundai Translead signifies deep product knowledge and access to specialized tools and training for these specific brands. They staff "industry's best in each niche," ensuring unmatched skillsets for refrigeration products, truck-bodies, and various types of trailers.

  • **Extensive Network and Mobile Capability:** The sheer number of locations and mobile service trucks ensures that help is never far away, offering unparalleled response times and minimizing downtime for critical commercial equipment. This extensive reach allows them to service a wide geographical area.

  • **Large Inventory:** Maintaining a substantial inventory of refrigeration units, trailers, and supporting parts means that common components are readily available, speeding up repair processes.

  • **Telematics Solutions:** W&B Service Co. offers and services industry-leading telematics tracking and monitoring solutions, including ORBCOMM and Carrier's eSolutions™. These systems provide enhanced visibility, robust data management, remote control features, and seamless data integration with fleet management systems, allowing fleet operators to make faster, more informed decisions, optimize asset usage, and improve safety and productivity. This demonstrates a commitment to modern technology in support of their clients.

  • **Comprehensive Service Offerings:** From new equipment sales and pre-owned options to full-service repair and parts supply, they function as a "one-stop shop" for all transportation equipment needs, simplifying fleet management for their customers.

Regarding promotional information, while specific discount codes or publicly advertised coupons are not typically the focus for B2B (business-to-business) services like those offered by W&B Service Co., their promotional efforts center on demonstrating value, reliability, and comprehensive support. Key aspects that serve as promotional benefits include:

  • **Nationwide Leadership:** Highlighting their position as "the Nation's leading Transport Refrigeration and Semi-Trailer dealer" acts as a strong promotional statement, instilling confidence in their scale and expertise.

  • **24/7 Emergency Service:** The promise of continuous availability for emergency repairs is a significant value proposition for commercial clients, minimizing costly breakdowns and operational disruptions. This often forms a core part of their service agreements and promotional outreach to fleet managers.

  • **Mobile Service Advantage:** Emphasizing their extensive mobile service fleet promotes convenience and reduced downtime, directly addressing a critical pain point for commercial operators.

  • **Loaner Units and Booster Units:** The availability of replacement or supplementary refrigeration units for temporary use is a significant advantage, ensuring continuous operations for customers even during repairs. This is a valuable service that reduces risk for perishable cargo.

  • **Expert Segment Knowledge:** Promoting their "segment experts" with unmatched skillsets in specific niches (e.g., Carrier refrigeration products, heavy haul trailers) assures customers of highly specialized and competent service.

  • **Financing Options:** For equipment sales, they would likely offer various financing options to facilitate purchases of new and used trailers and refrigeration units, a common promotional tool in heavy equipment sales.

  • **Long-standing Reputation:** Having been founded in 1952, W&B Service Co. leverages its long history and experience in the industry to build trust and credibility. The acquisition of established entities like Scott's Commercial Truck Services further solidifies their market position and expertise.

In conclusion, W&B Service Co., with its extensive network and specialized focus, functions as a premier "Auto Repair Station" for commercial trucks, transport refrigeration, and semi-trailers. Its environment is designed for heavy-duty service and rapid response, supported by over 100 mobile service trucks and 24/7 emergency availability. The range of services is comprehensive, covering sales of new and used equipment, an extensive parts inventory, and expert repairs for a wide array of commercial transport needs. Key features include deep expertise in Carrier Transicold and Hyundai Translead products, advanced telematics solutions, and a strong commitment to minimizing client downtime. Their promotional strategy centers on highlighting their industry leadership, comprehensive support, and the invaluable convenience of their mobile and emergency services, making them an indispensable partner for local commercial vehicle operators.

W&B Service Co. (formerly Scott's Commercial Truck Services) Customer Reviews

These were the nicest people I have worked with in a while. They did everything possible to get me back on the road on the same day. They took two employees off the jobs they were working on and but them on my truck. They provided a warm place for me my wife and our dog to relax and watch TV while the work was being done. Ryan kept us updated the entire time and did an exceptional job. They were very fair on the price. I would highly recommend this company to everyone.

These people are nothing short of criminals in my opinion. They shut our reefer down overnight and lied to the cop that came on site that it was on over night when our telematics showed otherwise and demanded cash payment after doing work without any communication and approval. I understand you might be stuck and need your reefer looked at especially if you are loaded like we were but I would highly recommend another facility if at all possible, save yourself the headache and scam. Very disappointed in Scott and his team. They know exactly what they are doing. Be better, be honorable, and do business in good faith or dont do it at all.

My new Carrier APU went down and couldn't get it to start. Called the day before and they told me they could take a look. Got there an hour early and they still took it right into the shop. Got me repaired and back on the road before the sun went down. Great service, awesome people, great coffee and TV in the drivers lounge. I will stop here again for PM when I'm in the area!

Update: After speaking to the owner in this matter, he promised to make it right and hopefully the next customer will not have the issues I had Although I do appreciate you working me in to look at my apu. I had to address a few issues. First, whoever was driving my truck backed it up too far and had to be pulled out of the ditch, which your company graciously did. Now, to what you are not aware of. The hose clamp coming out of the radiator to the hose was not tight causing it leak coolant. There were several bolts that were not tightened down and a few more that was missing. The case appears to have been bent and crushed. There was also a bolt wedged between the new generator and the new mount. I took some pictures to show, but many of the things I did not think about until after taking care of the issue. I understand that it is a tight area to work on, but the case will come off with out damaging the case or my fairings. .
