It’s been 2 days since I’ve left their auto repair shop, and I feel like I’ve been scammed badly. My car gave up in the middle of the freeway. I don’t really know the reason as to why specifically, but I had a feeling that it was a battery issue. Called the cops to jumpstart my car and told us that we had to go to an auto shop. Went to pep boys and they told me that the ONLY thing is wrong with it was the alternator. They charged me like $900, so I was refusing them to work on my car. After researching for the best prices around the area, Vinny gave me the lowest price ($660). Took it to him, but then the scamming started. They called me after they were done replacing the alternator, expecting something about it. However, he informed me that the car wouldn’t start and asked me “has that ever happen to you?” That never happened to me. I went to his shop to see the issue and basically told me the harness was the problem why it won’t start. The part was only $20 dollars, but the labor was $450? What kind of labor is that? I declined and they said “it was in the middle and that it would take at least 4 hours that’s why that’s the price”. I told him I don’t have the money so he said that we’d have a 50/50 chance in driving it from Vegas to San Diego. He even told me that it was ok to fill your car up with gas while starting the engine, which idk how it is. Next day comes and I started driving it but about 20 minutes later the car broke down. Called Vinny to tow it for me to his shop. The guy that towed the car was also a mechanic, and he said that the car looked fine, and said that they’re trying to scam us because the labor was just too much for a harness that he could look at from the top and not under the car. Took it to Vinny and he couldn’t do much because it was like 4:30. The next day came and called him to see what’s the issue. Turns out there was no coolant and the wires were not connected and were loose. In my mind and I told him that, how the hell you did not see it? It wasn’t like the harness supposedly being impossible to see, it was right in front of him. And the battery that he told me was good the first time I’ve seen him all of the sudden it was bad so he had to replace it. Also one of the parts was bad or torn so he replaces it. And apparently he didn’t want to charge for us the labor for the harness because” it was simply in my way” even though he told me that it was in the middle of everything and that it would practically take him the whole day to get when he first explained it to me. At the end he test drives it and it was doing great like before, so then he asked for the price and charged me $680 for the battery($240), cap of the coolant($20), $100 for the towing, and wires ($20). I paid it to him fully. It was more than I expected, but i didn’t think much of it. On my way to home, the car sounded healthy but the steering wheel was not it. Felt way stiffer than before. I was thinking of back to him and seeing what’s the issue, but after everything I’ve been through with Vinny, I said that at least the car was healthy and that he’d find another thing to charge me for, which at this point I don’t trust. Overall, I couldn’t really go or have another choice because I was tight on money and time.

They are theives, they claimed to only extract 0.3ish lbs of Freon from my vehicle (with little Freon a compressor will turn on and off quickly which my system was constantly on). They did not perform a vacuum on my AC System as it only took them less than 5 minutes to extract and fill up system. The funniest part is that I fell for his lie that he claimed the vehicle was at 14 Fahrenheit when most vehicles will only drop to about 40ish degrees. So now my vehicle is blowing the same as it was before. AC system has no leaks and now I need to take it to someone else because these little shops you wish to do business with cant be trusted.

I Highly recommend this shop they fix european cars and Japanese cars.they installed my down pipe for 2020 mk 7.5 gti they’re awesome. Vinny and Jose is knowledgeable mechanic , friendly and the price is reasonable.

Best Honest reliable mechanic around, i been taking my car and my entire family’s for 5 years now. Unlike other mechanic that tell you need stuff done that you don’t. He’s a great dude. I would go no where else I’d rather wait 2 weeks to get my car fix than chose another mechanic, thanks Vince for being a true mechanic.
