Tyler's Auto Parts Introduce

Welcome to Tyler's Auto Parts, located at 324 Stream Rd in Winterport, Maine. Serving the local community and surrounding areas, Tyler's Auto Parts operates within the platform category of Auto Repair Stations by providing essential goods for vehicle maintenance and repair. While the name suggests a focus on parts, it's important to consider all available information to understand the complete nature of the business.

Based on the limited information available, it is challenging to provide a detailed description of the environment of Tyler's Auto Parts. Typically, an auto parts store features a retail space where various automotive components, accessories, and supplies are displayed and stored for customer purchase. This would likely include shelves, counters for customer service, and potentially storage areas for a more extensive inventory. The atmosphere would generally be focused on functionality, allowing customers to easily locate and purchase the parts they need.

The primary service offered by Tyler's Auto Parts is the sale of automotive parts. This likely encompasses a wide range of components necessary for vehicle maintenance, repair, and potential customization. The inventory at Tyler's Auto Parts may include:

  • Replacement Parts: Such as brakes, filters (oil, air, fuel), belts, hoses, spark plugs, batteries, alternators, starters, and more. These parts are essential for keeping vehicles running reliably and safely.
  • Aftermarket Parts: Components manufactured by companies other than the original vehicle manufacturer. These can sometimes offer cost savings or different performance characteristics compared to OEM parts.
  • OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) Parts: Parts manufactured by or for the original vehicle manufacturer. These are designed to meet the exact specifications of the vehicle and are often preferred for maintaining factory standards and warranties.
  • Accessories: Items that enhance the appearance, comfort, or functionality of a vehicle, such as floor mats, seat covers, car care products, and potentially some performance accessories.
  • Tools and Equipment: Depending on the scope of the store, they might also stock basic automotive tools and equipment for DIY mechanics and professionals.
  • Fluids and Chemicals: Including motor oil, transmission fluid, coolant, brake fluid, and various automotive chemicals and additives.

A significant aspect to consider when evaluating Tyler's Auto Parts is the conflicting customer feedback available. One review describes a "terrible experience" where the vehicle allegedly worsened after repairs costing over $1000, citing multiple return visits, misdiagnosis, and hostile communication from the owners. This review strongly advises against using their services, labeling them as "incompetent."

Conversely, another review presents a positive experience, praising "good prices," "quality work" done in a "timely fashion," and "friendly people." This reviewer highlights a communication practice where the mechanic personally calls to explain findings and necessary work, fostering clarity and trust. This customer recommends Tyler's Auto Parts as a "great place" for vehicle service.

The stark contrast between these two reviews suggests a potential inconsistency in service quality or customer experience at Tyler's Auto Parts. It is possible that different customers have had significantly different interactions and outcomes. Local users should be aware of this conflicting feedback when considering Tyler's Auto Parts for their automotive needs.

Given the information, it is unclear if Tyler's Auto Parts explicitly operates as a full-service auto repair station in addition to selling parts. The negative review details a repair experience, indicating that they do offer repair services. The positive review also mentions "quality work" and a mechanic contacting the customer, further suggesting repair services are provided. Therefore, while the primary function implied by the name is an auto parts store, there is evidence suggesting they also operate as an Auto Repair Station, offering both goods (parts) and services (repair work).

Currently, there is no promotional information available for Tyler's Auto Parts based on the provided data. Auto parts stores and repair shops sometimes offer discounts on specific parts, seasonal maintenance packages, or other promotions. Local users interested in potential deals or specials at Tyler's Auto Parts are encouraged to contact them directly at (207) 223-0066 or +1 207-223-0066. Inquiring about any current offers when calling or visiting the location at 324 Stream Rd, Winterport, ME 04496, USA, would be the best way to obtain this information.

For local users in Winterport and the surrounding areas, Tyler's Auto Parts presents a physical location to source automotive components and potentially obtain repair services. However, the significantly differing customer experiences reported online should be taken into consideration. Individuals may want to seek further information or clarification based on their specific needs and the nature of the service or parts they require. It might be beneficial to inquire about the qualifications of their mechanics and their policies regarding repairs and customer satisfaction before committing to their services.

In conclusion, Tyler's Auto Parts in Winterport, Maine, appears to function as an auto parts store supplying various vehicle components and may also offer auto repair services. Customer reviews provide strongly contrasting experiences, with one detailing significant issues and dissatisfaction, while the other praises their prices, work quality, and customer service. Local users should be aware of this mixed feedback and may want to conduct further research or directly communicate with Tyler's Auto Parts to make an informed decision regarding their automotive parts and service needs. Information regarding the store's environment beyond its physical address and any current promotions is not available in the provided data.

Tyler's Auto Parts Customer Reviews

Terrible experience. Took my car here for an issue and came out with it worse than before after over $1000 spent. Owners stated they “never” have call backs yet I was back there twice because the vehicle was worse off than before. Was told on Friday when I picked it up for the 3rd time if I have any issues to call back and let them know. Check engine light came on this morning so called to make them aware. Was met with extreme hostility by both owners (father and son), swearing and screaming on the phone that they were done working on the car. They are incompetent and don’t know how to work on cars. Constant misdiagnosis which resulted in a lot of money being spent and my issue still not resolved. DO NOT GO HERE

Good prices. Quality work, in a timely fashion. Friendly people. The mechanic who's working on your vehicle calls your personally to tell you what they found so there's not any confusion onto what's been found or what needs done. Great place to take your vehicles to.

Avoid this place like the plague. The owner is not only rude but dangerous. I used them out of convenience since they are nearby. I’ve taken my van to them multiple times. Every single time there is an issue. I finally called to speak to them about it and before I could even finish explaining the issue the owner yells at me and hangs up. Not two days later a serious issue happens with the breaks. I took it to another mechanic who tells me that whoever replaced my hub assembly didn’t put the wires back into place and didn’t remove the old pins completely. The wires were being pinched causing the ABS to go out. Who did that work? That was Tyler’s. Issues every time I’m there. Never again.

As always, Tyler's did top-quality work on my Jeep at a very fair price. While inspecting it last December, John warned me that the rear brakes would need work by Summer, as a result I got the job done before it got to the point where rotors were damaged. I trust Tyler's to keep my vehicles in good repair, using quality parts and charging honest prices.

As usual, I got excellent service work on my Jeep Liberty and was pleased that it passed their careful inspection and qualified for a new sticker. I always go to Tyler's because I know they'll do great work at honest prices.
