Tropical Tints Introduce

Located at 1710 Tiffin Ave, Sandusky, OH 44870, USA, Tropical Tints operates within the scope of an Auto Repair Station. This establishment can be contacted by phone at (419) 625-1174 or mobile at +1 419-625-1174. Based on the available customer reviews, Tropical Tints offers services that extend beyond what its name might suggest, including the sale of repaired salvage vehicles, which places it within the broader category of businesses that service and sell automobiles.

Environment and Atmosphere

The provided customer reviews offer a less favorable perspective on the environment and atmosphere at Tropical Tints. Descriptions such as "Horrendous customer service," "Very unorganized," and "not trustworthy" suggest an environment that lacks clear communication and reliable practices. The experience of a customer repeatedly checking on a vehicle without clear updates, only to find it sold to someone else, points to a disorganized and potentially unprofessional setting. This indicates that the atmosphere might be challenging for customers seeking transparent and consistent service.

Services Offered

While the name "Tropical Tints" implies a focus on window tinting, the customer reviews indicate that this Auto Repair Station offers services that extend to vehicle repair and sales. Specifically, the reviews highlight:

  • Vehicle Repair and Reconditioning (especially salvage cars): The business "buys salvage cars and fixes them," suggesting expertise in repairing vehicles that have previously been damaged. This would involve a range of mechanical, body, and possibly electrical repairs to make the vehicles roadworthy and pass inspection.
  • Vehicle Sales: Tropical Tints engages in selling these repaired salvage vehicles, which necessitates ensuring they are fixed and inspected prior to sale.
  • Inspection Preparation: The process of preparing vehicles for inspection is a key part of their service model for cars intended for sale.

Given the name "Tropical Tints," it is also plausible, though not confirmed by the provided reviews, that they offer window tinting services. However, the customer feedback primarily centers on vehicle repair and sales interactions, rather than tinting specifically.

Key Features and Strengths

Based solely on the provided customer reviews, it is challenging to identify specific strengths or positive features of Tropical Tints from a customer service perspective. The feedback points to significant areas of concern:

  • Lack of Organization: The inconsistent information regarding vehicle availability and repair timelines, as described by a frustrated customer, suggests a lack of systematic organization in their sales and repair processes.
  • Poor Communication: The failure to communicate about other interested buyers or changes in status for a vehicle that a customer intended to purchase highlights a significant communication gap.
  • Questionable Trustworthiness: The statement "not trustworthy" directly addresses a core concern for any business. The customer's experience of being led to believe a car was available, only to have it sold to someone else without prior notification, contributes to this perception.

The reviews do not provide positive features such as efficiency, quality of repair, or competitive pricing. Instead, they focus on negative aspects of the customer experience.

Promotional Information and Customer Endorsements

The provided customer reviews do not contain any positive promotional information or endorsements for Tropical Tints. Instead, they serve as warnings or expressions of dissatisfaction. The strong negative sentiment aims to advise others against dealing with the business:

  • "Horrendous customer service." This immediately sets a negative tone regarding the customer experience.
  • "Gave him my number and told him I wanted to purchase it. Went back 2 more times to check on finish date with the last time him saying it was to be inspected on the 19th and to stop back the next day. Stopped back the next day and all of the sudden he had someone else that had asked about the car first. Funny he never mentioned this the other 3 times I spoke to him. Very unorganized and not trustworthy. I would not deal this this man at all." This detailed account describes a frustrating and ultimately disappointing sales interaction, highlighting issues with communication, organization, and trustworthiness.
  • "try Groupon! don't wait for an old man and his back to recover when other shops are ready with better price and quality!" This review, while brief, strongly advises against waiting for service and suggests seeking out competitors who offer "better price and quality," directly implying a negative assessment of Tropical Tints' offerings in these areas.

In summary, the available information from customer reviews paints a picture of Tropical Tints as an Auto Repair Station that deals with fixing and selling salvage cars, but which has received critical feedback regarding its customer service, organization, communication, and trustworthiness, particularly in its vehicle sales processes. Potential customers should consider these reported experiences when evaluating their options for automotive services or vehicle purchases from this establishment.

Horrendous customer service. Went to look at a car he was selling as he buys salvage cars and fixes them and was told he had just received it, and it had to be fixed then inspected. Gave him my number and told him I wanted to purchase it. I would not deal this this man at all.

Waited eleven months for a truck I ordered. Came in a Tuesday. Called Tropical Tint on a Wednesday. Dropped off on Thursday AM and in my hands by noon. Completed. Price was right and professionalism was so appreciated. In this age where you usually get less than expected, this was a great surprise to receive service as asked for timely and done well. No excuses. Highly recommend. And an extra gift added.

Great job! I called for an estimate and had set an appointment the next day for my Mazda 6. The job was finished the same day so that I could get my car back and the attention to detail was incredible! Would definitely refer a friend who would want there car tinted!

Don't keep appointments. I made an appointment for Monday (today) last Monday 12/14. Showed up at 8AM as instructed to leave the car. Was told there was no appointment today and that it was for next Tuesday. 2 Problems: 1) I am out of the area that week (planned far in advance) 2) I would not have it done on a Tuesday as my regular schedule doesn't allow that. Was told they called and left a message. No missed call or voicemail. One and only time I attempt to do business with a liar
