Transmissions By Shane Customer Reviews

All I can say is Shane’s Transmission is the best, they do great work and for a fair price. Why ever Share charges you it well worth it.He has done great work on two of my vehicles , one them was he replaced my transmission in my 1998 Dodge van . He replaced with a six speed when I had a five speed. He did this 10 years ago and the van is still pulling strong. I can say he not only the best transmission shop in this area but the best in Georgia. I can say that because 4 years ago I had a transmission repair in Atlanta because I was living there it didn’t last 2years before trouble. Shane is the best.

My son went there in good faith because he heard great things about the place. $3000 dollars later- and we had to take it back after 3 months. His truck is missing 1st though 3rd gears. And they asked for some r and r of $300 more to take it off and back on. Sorry no!! You said you could and would fix it. Then do it.

Not so good . I paid 2300.00 for a rebuild job , they never got it fixed , carrieed it back 3 / 4 times and then they put in a USED LKQ trans ( never rebuilt it , just put it in ) , then DENIED DOING IT . The LQK trans went bad about 18 months later & i had another shop rebuild it . This shop showed the parts as they removed them and they were not NEW . Had to replace several metal parts that were not included in a rebuild kit . Estimated milage of damaged parts estimated to be FOUR HUNDRED THOUSAND , OR MORE MILES . SHANE CAN NOT BE TRUSTED & I HAVE AN EYE WITNESS AS PROOF THAT THE LQK TRANS HAD NOT BEEN REBUILT . T. Price Westminster , sc

Used this business over the course of several years with a wildly problematic 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Had I bought it new, I have no doubt that the vehicle would've qualified under lemon laws - but I didn't and I've visited every mechanic from Martin, GA to Greenville, SC in some capacity or another. For reference on how bad this vehicle was, the dealership, after working on the car, refused to buy it from me. Matter of fact, they laughed when I asked if they wanted it. Shane always stood by his work and would take it back (oftentimes free of charge) when something else inevitably broke on the forsaken vehicle. The real moral of the story is to never, ever buy a Jeep Grand Cherokee - but if you do, take it to Shane.
