Trailer Hitches at U-Haul

This was my third vehicle that I’ve brought in to get a hitch installed. First two went just fine. This time it did not. After getting rescheduled three times, I arrived 2 minutes early for my fourth appointment. When I arrived there was another car in the shop and I was told it would be another hour before my car could be seen. I left to run an errand while they worked on my car. An hour after they started working on my car, I was called and told they couldn’t do the wiring, that I would have to go a dealership to have that installed. This was definitely not a good experience, especially after the last two experiences Edit: it cost me $1000 and a full day at the dealer, for them to fix what Uhaul had done, and wire the tow electrical harness correctly. Not happy, not happy at all

I made an online reservation to have a hitch installed. When I arrived at my appointment, I was told that the installer only works weekdays. I was never given a call beforehand to reschedule my appointment and nobody apologized for the inconvenience. I travelled over 60 miles one way just to make my appointment and my entire day was wasted for nothing

When my wife showed up on the scheduled appointment, the installer had left for the day and they moved our appointment to another day. And uhaul said they called me, which I NEVER spoke to anyone about this.

It was timely installed and the technician was friendly reminding us of the warranty and availability of services if any questions arise.
