Total Offroad & More - Albuquerque, NM Introduce

Total Offroad & More in Albuquerque, New Mexico, situated at 2445 Menaul Blvd NE, positions itself within the "Auto Repair Stations" category, catering specifically to the needs of off-road enthusiasts and truck owners. This establishment aims to be a comprehensive resource for vehicle modifications, parts, and installation services designed to enhance a vehicle's off-road capabilities and overall performance. The store's primary focus revolves around offering a wide array of specialized products and installation services that transform standard vehicles into robust off-road machines.

The environment at Total Offroad & More, as gathered from available information, appears to be a dedicated automotive service center. Typically, such facilities feature a showroom or sales area where customers can browse various off-road parts and accessories, including suspension systems, tires, wheels, bumpers, winches, and lighting solutions. The service bays, where installations and modifications are performed, would be equipped with the necessary tools and lifts to handle a diverse range of vehicles, from everyday trucks to heavily modified off-road rigs. Given the nature of off-road modifications, the facility would likely have areas for vehicle alignment, tire mounting and balancing, and custom fabrication work. The overall atmosphere would be geared towards automotive enthusiasts, with a focus on specialized knowledge and equipment for off-road applications. While direct observations of the interior environment are not available, the expectation for an establishment in this category is a practical, functional space designed for vehicle servicing and parts sales.

Total Offroad & More provides a range of services and sells goods pertinent to the "Auto Repair Stations" category, with a strong emphasis on off-road specialization. Their service offerings include, but are not limited to, the installation of suspension systems, such as the Icon suspension mentioned by a customer, which are crucial for improving a vehicle's ground clearance, ride quality, and articulation over uneven terrain. They also handle tire and wheel installations, including fitting larger tire sizes that often necessitate modifications like "body mount chops" to prevent rubbing during turns. This type of custom fabrication work is a key service for off-road shops. Other services encompass the installation of accessories like bumpers, winches, and auxiliary lighting, all common upgrades for off-road vehicles. These services are typically performed by technicians with specialized knowledge in automotive customization and off-road mechanics. The goods for sale would include the components themselves: high-performance suspension kits, various brands and sizes of off-road tires, Method wheels, Morimoto lights, winches, and custom bumpers, among other aftermarket parts.

One of the key features of Total Offroad & More is its specialization in off-road vehicle modifications. This niche focus means they should possess a deeper understanding of the specific demands and complexities of off-road driving compared to general auto repair shops. Their inventory and expertise are tailored to customers seeking to enhance their vehicles for challenging terrains, whether for recreational off-roading, overlanding, or work applications requiring robust vehicles. The ability to perform custom fabrication, such as the body mount chop, highlights their capacity to go beyond simple bolt-on installations and undertake more complex modifications to achieve specific vehicle setups. This level of customization is a significant draw for dedicated off-road enthusiasts. The range of products they offer, from Icon suspension to Mickey Thompson tires and Morimoto lights, indicates access to popular and specialized brands within the off-road aftermarket industry.

Regarding promotional information, while specific current promotions are not available, auto repair stations and specialized shops like Total Offroad & More often utilize various methods to attract customers. These can include seasonal sales on popular parts or services, package deals for common upgrades (e.g., lift kit and tire bundles), or discounts on installation labor when parts are purchased directly from the store. Given their specialization, they might also engage in local off-road community events, sponsorships, or showcase customer builds to highlight their capabilities. Online promotions through their website or social media channels (if active) would likely feature new product arrivals, before-and-after vehicle transformations, and testimonials. Due to the lack of specific promotional details online, this is a generalized expectation based on industry practices for similar businesses.

Customer feedback, as provided, offers crucial insights into the real-world experience at Total Offroad & More. One customer reported issues with a winch installation, noting that it occasionally reversed direction on its own and eventually failed, shooting sparks. This experience highlights potential concerns regarding the quality of specific product installations or troubleshooting. Another, more extensive review detailed significant issues with a 2017 Tacoma modification project, which involved an Icon suspension, Mickey Thompson tires, Method wheels, and Morimoto lights. The customer expressed dissatisfaction with the initial "hack job" of the body mount chop, resulting in tire rubbing, and missing pins from the fender liners. This suggests inconsistency in initial quality control and workmanship. However, the same review also noted a positive turnaround after a second visit, where a different technician rectified the issues, ensuring all pins were accounted for and eliminating tire rubbing. While the initial experience was frustrating, leading the customer to state they would "never go back or recommend," the resolution on the second attempt indicates that solutions were provided, even if a follow-up visit was required. These reviews underscore the importance of consistent quality control and thorough pre-delivery inspections for complex modifications.

Total Offroad & More - Albuquerque, NM Customer Reviews

Had a bumper, winch and lights installed on my truck. The winch works correctly sometimes (will reverse its direction on its own) and has now started shooting sparks and stopped working. Synthetic rope was extended when it stopped working and it had to be wrapped to drive it home..

I took my 15 year old son 2017 Tacoma to have all new Icon suspension, MIckey Thompson tires, body mount chop to fit bigger tires, Method wheels, and Morimoto lights installed. When we picked it up all cutting they did to fit the bigger tires was just a hack job. On the way home the tires were rubbing on the body during mild turns. Several pins were missing from the two front finder liners so they were flapping in the wind. I spent over 11k to have this done and for the sales person not to due a quality inspection before i picked it up is very frustrating to say the least. I did give you at least 2 stars because when i dropped the truck off the second time a different tech took the keys and he actually did a great job. All pins in the finder liners accounted for so no flapping in the wind and no tire rubbing. Will never go back or recommend Total Offroad & More of Albuquerque.

I went in to talk to Phillip about lifting my truck. Phillip is very knowledgeable and professional, and after some discussion, I decided on a leveling kit instead. I'll update this post once the installation is complete. Highly recommend stopping into Total Offroad & More if you're interested in 4x4 upgrades.

I had an awesome experience at Total Offroad & More. They beat everyone else’s prices and the customer service was outstanding. Go see Phillip Sanchez there at the front desk, he’ll make sure your truck is set up.

I couldn't be happier with my experiences at 4WP! Just had my TJ lifted by them and they did an excellent job. Jeep rides and looks great! Kanyon went above and beyond my expectations each step of the way! A huge thank you to him as well as each of the techs who had a hand in this project! :)
