Timely tires & Auto service. Introduce

Timely Tires & Auto Service is an establishment located at 1120 Republic Dr, Addison, IL 60101, USA. Operating under the broad category of "Auto Repair Stations," this business appears to offer a combination of auto services, including tire sales and potentially general auto maintenance, alongside used car sales. For direct inquiries, they can be reached at (773) 507-9134 or via mobile at +1 773-507-9134.

As an "Auto Repair Station," Timely Tires & Auto Service would typically provide a range of automotive services aimed at maintaining and repairing vehicles. The inclusion of "Tires" in their name suggests a focus on tire sales, installation, rotation, balancing, and repair. "Auto Service" implies a broader scope, likely encompassing general mechanical repairs such as oil changes, brake services, fluid checks, and potentially more complex engine or transmission work. The customer reviews, however, strongly indicate that a significant part of their business, or at least a notable aspect of their customer interactions, also involves the sale of used vehicles.

Environment and Facilities

Based on the customer feedback provided, the internal organization and environment of Timely Tires & Auto Service may present some challenges. One review explicitly mentions, "I also didn’t like the fact that it took the owner a while to find my paperwork since the place was seemingly a little unorganized." This suggests that the administrative or filing system within the establishment might lack optimal organization, potentially leading to delays or difficulties in locating customer records. For an auto repair station, a well-organized environment is crucial not only for efficient operations but also for maintaining a professional image and ensuring customer trust. A disarrayed appearance, particularly in areas visible to customers or where important documentation is handled, can detract from the overall service experience and raise concerns about the meticulousness applied to vehicle repairs or transactions.

While no explicit details are given about the physical layout of the service bays, waiting areas, or tire display areas, a typical "Auto Repair Station" would generally feature a service counter for customer interactions, a garage area with lifts and tools for vehicle work, and potentially a display area for tires or auto parts. The reviews do not provide information about the cleanliness, modernity, or size of these areas. However, the comments regarding disorganization imply that there might be room for improvement in operational tidiness and customer-facing processes.

Services Offered

Based on the name "Timely Tires & Auto Service" and the provided customer reviews, the primary services offered by this establishment likely include:

  • Tire Sales and Service: This would involve selling new and potentially used tires, mounting, balancing, rotation, and flat tire repair. Given the "Tires" in the name, this is expected to be a core offering.
  • General Auto Service/Mechanical Repair: This broadly covers routine maintenance and repair services for various vehicle systems. While specific services are not listed, typical offerings at such an "Auto Repair Station" include:
    • Oil Changes and Fluid Checks
    • Brake Inspections and Repairs (pads, rotors, calipers)
    • Suspension and Steering Component Checks (e.g., ball joints, as highlighted in a review)
    • Exhaust System Repair (e.g., cracked manifolds, catalytic converters, as highlighted in a review)
    • Basic Diagnostic Services (though customer feedback suggests issues with thoroughness in this area)
  • Used Car Sales: Both customer reviews explicitly mention the purchase of a car from this location, indicating that selling used vehicles is a significant part of their business model. This aspect of their service involves preparing vehicles for sale and handling associated paperwork, such as vehicle titles and license plates.

It is important to note that while the business identifies as an "Auto Repair Station," the customer reviews heavily emphasize issues related to the used car sales aspect of their operations, particularly concerning vehicle condition disclosure and administrative processes like plate issuance.

Features and Customer Experience

The available customer reviews offer critical insights into the operational features and customer experience at Timely Tires & Auto Service. Unfortunately, these insights highlight significant areas of concern:

  • Communication Issues: A recurring theme is the "sucked" line of communication and the lack of updates or explanations for delays. Customers expressed frustration over not being informed about the status of their paperwork (license plates) or the condition of the vehicles they purchased. The inability of the owner to provide "a good answer" for delays or issues is a serious detractor from a positive customer experience.
  • Organizational Challenges: As mentioned, the difficulty in finding paperwork and the perception of the "place was seemingly a little unorganized" point to internal organizational issues that directly impact service efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Vehicle Condition Disclosure: This is perhaps the most severe concern. One review details purchasing a car with numerous undisclosed and critical mechanical issues, including "hole in floor, extremely bad ball joint, Cracked manifold and cat, service engine light off because someone reset to clear the light, slipping transmission," rendering the car unsafe to drive. The claim that the owner "said to have inspected himself" yet was allegedly unaware of these serious defects raises significant questions about the thoroughness of their vehicle inspections prior to sale and their transparency with customers.
  • Trust and Reliability: The cumulative effect of these issues leads to a significant erosion of trust. The phrase "Most crooked car shop I have ever had the displeasure of working with" reflects a profound negative sentiment regarding the business's integrity and reliability, especially concerning used car sales. The offer to fix issues with a discount after selling a purportedly unsafe vehicle also did not alleviate the customer's distrust.
  • Post-Sale Support (or lack thereof): The prolonged delays in receiving license plates and the lack of proactive communication about these delays, even when a plate was reportedly "in," demonstrate a lack of effective post-sale customer support and follow-through.

These features, as reported by customers, paint a picture of a business where operational efficiency, transparency, and customer care, particularly in the context of used car sales, fall short of customer expectations and industry standards for an "Auto Repair Station" that also sells vehicles.

Promotional Information

Given the nature of the provided customer reviews, there is no positive promotional information available for Timely Tires & Auto Service in this context. Rather, the reviews serve as cautionary advice for potential customers. In a typical scenario, a business would highlight its strengths, special offers, or unique selling points. However, based on the provided feedback, any promotional efforts would likely need to address and overcome the significant negative perceptions related to communication, organization, vehicle quality assurance in sales, and overall customer trust. A business in this position would ideally focus on:

  • Implementing robust quality checks for all vehicles sold and serviced.
  • Improving internal organizational systems for paperwork and customer records.
  • Establishing clear and proactive communication protocols for all customer interactions, especially regarding delays or vehicle status.
  • Providing transparent and honest disclosures about vehicle condition prior to sale.
  • Investing in customer service training to ensure staff can address concerns effectively and professionally.

Without such improvements, any promotional efforts would likely be undermined by existing customer experiences. The most impactful "promotional information" for this business, based on the provided data, would be a demonstrated and consistent commitment to rectifying the issues highlighted in the reviews, leading to positive word-of-mouth rather than the negative experiences currently shared.

I bought a car from this place. Car was and is still in good shape. However, the line of communication sucked. I owned the car for about 2 months at the time that I started wondering when my plates would come in the mail. I stopped back by the car dealership to check and see if my plates were in yet and they were not which is fine What bothered me a little bit is the paperwork had not been sent to the state yet in order to get my plates. When I asked why it was taking so long to send off the paperwork, the owner could not provide a good answer. I also didn’t like the fact that it took the owner a while to find my paperwork since the place was seemingly a little unorganized. Once my paperwork was found, I was told that everything would be taken care of the next day and would be put in the mail that afternoon and I would receive my plate no later then a week and a half from that day. Another month had gone by and I had not received my plates nor had I received a phone call to update me as to what was going on. 2 days ago I had 3 days until my plate expired so I callled the dealership back to see if they had my plate. I was told that my plate was in. When I got to the dealership to pick up my plate I asked why I had not received my plate, and why I was not called to notify me of any delays. Yet again they had no answer. That is unacceptable.

Worst place to deal with. Not a word said of any potential issues. Bought a car and took to a mechanic for review found hole in floor, extremely bad ball joint, Cracked manifold and cat, service engine light off because someone reset to clear the light, slipping transmission and that's just to list a few but mechanic had to note that car should not be driven. Won't refund money offered to fix with a discount (but how can it be trusted after they sold the car in the condition with no hesitation) and put a patch on the exhaust leaks. Claims to have no clue all this is wrong but said to have inspected himself. Most crooked car shop I have ever had the displeasure of working with. Strongly suggest against wasting your time or money here.

Very good car dealer. It was my first experience buying an used car from dealer. No added dealership fees. Used car prices are reasonable. Good customer service. Willing to work with customer for any questions. Replying to customer questions as quick as possible.

Didn't make a purchase on this visit, but they were super friendly and not pushy at all. They were even open on what minor issues would need to be addressed if the car was purchased. I enjoyed my visit. I think people just need to adjust expectations when shopping for budget cars. Do your homework.

Just bought a RAV4. Spent 3 hours at the dmv, only to have them tell me that they couldn't transfer the title because it was missing a signature from the dealer. Sales person met me at my home afterwards to provide the missing signature; however, this doesn't make up for my time wasted at the dmv when I will be traveling out of state tomorrow for work and don't have 3 more hours to spare for another dmv trip. A goodwill adjustment to the purchasing price for this inconvenience was denied.
