They can be reached via phone at (419) 246-5693 or +1 419-246-5693. This introduction provides an objective overview of the facility, drawing from its stated category and available customer feedback.

Environment and Facility

As a body shop specializing in collision repair, Taylor Body Shop would typically maintain a facility equipped for restoring vehicles that have sustained damage from accidents. This type of "Auto Repair Station" requires specialized tools and dedicated areas for various stages of the repair process.

  • Repair Bays: These are generally spacious areas where technicians perform bodywork, including dent removal, panel replacement, and structural repairs.

  • Frame Straightening Equipment: Essential for correcting a vehicle's frame and chassis after a significant impact, ensuring it meets manufacturer specifications for safety and performance.

  • Paint Booths: Controlled environments designed for automotive painting, ensuring a high-quality, dust-free finish and accurate color matching. These booths typically have advanced ventilation and temperature control systems.

  • Prep Areas: Spaces for sanding, priming, and preparing vehicle surfaces before painting.

  • Parts Storage: An organized area for new or salvaged parts awaiting installation.

  • Customer Interaction Area: While not explicitly detailed, a professional body shop typically includes an office or reception area where customers can discuss estimates, insurance claims, and pick up or drop off their vehicles.

The location on 14th St in Toledo likely places it within an accessible commercial or industrial zone, which is common for such repair facilities.

Services Provided

Taylor Body Shop, as an "Auto Repair Station" specializing in collision repair, would typically offer a range of services designed to restore a vehicle to its pre-accident condition. These services generally encompass both aesthetic and structural repairs.

  • Collision Damage Assessment: Thorough evaluation of vehicle damage, including hidden structural issues, to provide comprehensive repair estimates.

  • Frame and Unibody Repair: Utilizing specialized equipment to realign and straighten the vehicle's frame or unibody structure, crucial for safety and handling.

  • Dent and Scratch Repair: Addressing various forms of body damage, from minor dents and dings to extensive panel damage. This can include traditional dent repair and potentially paintless dent repair (PDR) for specific types of damage.

  • Panel Replacement: Replacing severely damaged body panels such as fenders, doors, hoods, and trunk lids.

  • Automotive Painting and Color Matching: Expert application of paint to match the vehicle's original color and finish, often using advanced color-matching technology to ensure seamless transitions.

  • Bumper Repair and Replacement: Addressing damage to front and rear bumpers, which are common points of impact in collisions.

  • Glass Replacement: Repair or replacement of damaged windshields, side windows, and rear windows.

  • Post-Repair Inspection and Detailing: Ensuring all repairs meet quality standards and thoroughly cleaning the vehicle before returning it to the customer.

  • Assistance with Insurance Claims: Body shops often work directly with insurance companies, helping customers navigate the claims process, prepare necessary documentation, and secure approval for repairs.

Features and Customer Feedback

Based on the provided customer reviews, several features and aspects of Taylor Body Shop's operations can be inferred. It is important to note that the feedback presents a consistent perspective from customers regarding their experience.

  • Repair Duration: Multiple reviews indicate extended repair times, with one customer stating "6mths+" and another mentioning "3 months" for their vehicle after a deer accident. This suggests that the shop may experience delays in completing repairs.

  • Workmanship Quality: Customers express dissatisfaction with the quality of the repairs. Comments such as "looks like a child done the work," "the paint is trash with defects," and "the paint was horrible" point to concerns regarding the finish and attention to detail. Specific issues like a persistent dent, unsealed doors leading to outside noise, and improper quarter panel repairs are cited.

  • Communication: The reviews highlight significant issues with communication. Customers report "no answers or return phone calls" and feeling "literally ignore," indicating a lack of responsiveness and updates during the repair process.

  • Customer Satisfaction: The recurring phrases "highly unsatisfied" and "will never take my vehicle back to them AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!" strongly suggest a pattern of dissatisfaction among the reviewed customers regarding the overall service experience and outcome of the repairs.

The feedback indicates that customers have experienced challenges related to the time taken for repairs, the quality of the work performed, and the level of communication received from the shop.

Promotional Information and Value Proposition (Based on General Industry Standards)

Typically, a collision repair "Auto Repair Station" would promote itself based on key value propositions such as:

  • Quality Craftsmanship: Emphasizing high-quality repairs that restore a vehicle to its pre-accident condition, both structurally and aesthetically.

  • Safety Standards: Highlighting adherence to manufacturer safety guidelines and the use of proper techniques to ensure vehicle integrity after a collision.

  • Efficient Service: Promising timely completion of repairs to minimize inconvenience for the customer.

  • Customer Communication: Assuring clear and consistent updates throughout the repair process.

  • Insurance Assistance: Offering support in navigating insurance claims to streamline the process for vehicle owners.

  • Certified Technicians: Highlighting the expertise and training of their staff.

However, based on the provided customer reviews, there appears to be a disconnect between these common industry aspirations and the reported customer experiences at Taylor Body Shop, particularly concerning repair duration, quality, and communication. Customers considering Taylor Body Shop would benefit from reviewing the provided feedback to set appropriate expectations regarding potential repair timelines and service outcomes.

Taylor body shop has had my car for 3 months after a deer accident. I have been checking on my car consistently everytime I get a call to come get it, it's not repaired properly. A dent was still in the roof of the truck the paint was horrible so I left the truck. Get a call to pick the truck up again and now the quarter panel by the light has a dent in it and the paint was still horrible along with being able to hear the whole outside when driven so its not sealed by the door. Get told ok thats a quick fix. Get a call again to pick up my truck and the area by the quarter panel by the light is still not fixed properly. They do poor work and don't mind making you wait for your vehicle. I will never take my vehicle back to them AGAIN!!!!!!!!!! Terrible job highly unsatisfied!

I took my car in to have minor body work done and was quoted one price but was told something different when I dropped the car off. They kept it longer than what was told to me and when I picked it up it was only partially done. They said my car was in 2 separate accidents and it wasn't. They said what was repared was from one accident and the incomplete part was from a separate accident. I know how many times my car was hit. I felt like I was being treated like some dumb woman that didn't know what she was talking about. I do not recommend this place to anyone.
