Star Audio #2 Introduce

While categorized under "Auto Repair Stations," **Star Audio #2** at 1720 Bridge Blvd SW STE H1, Albuquerque, NM 87105, USA, distinguishes itself as an electronics store specializing in the sale and installation of car audio systems and other vehicle electronics. Unlike a traditional auto repair shop focused on mechanical fixes, Star Audio #2’s primary business revolves around enhancing a vehicle's entertainment, security, and convenience through cutting-edge electronic installations. Their services cater to local users looking to upgrade their in-car experience, whether for better sound quality, enhanced security, or added functionalities.

The **services** offered by Star Audio #2 primarily center around car audio and mobile electronics. This includes the sale and professional installation of a wide range of products such as:

  • **Car Stereos and Head Units:** From basic aftermarket radios to advanced touchscreen multimedia receivers with features like Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, navigation, and Bluetooth connectivity.
  • **Speakers and Amplifiers:** Upgrading factory speakers to high-fidelity components, and installing powerful amplifiers to drive superior sound quality and volume.
  • **Subwoofers and Enclosures:** Providing impactful bass through various subwoofer options and offering custom-built speaker boxes designed to fit specific vehicle dimensions and acoustic requirements. Information suggests they can build custom boxes for cars or trucks.
  • **Vehicle Security Systems:** Installation of car alarms, keyless entry systems, and vehicle tracking devices to protect against theft and enhance security.
  • **Remote Start Systems:** Offering convenience and comfort, especially in extreme weather conditions, by allowing owners to start their vehicle remotely.
  • **Integration Services:** Connecting new audio components with existing vehicle systems, including steering wheel controls, factory cameras, and vehicle data buses.
  • **Troubleshooting and Diagnostics:** Addressing issues with existing aftermarket or factory audio systems, though as customer feedback indicates, this may come with a diagnostic fee.
Their focus on specialized electronic installations means they possess the expertise and tools required for intricate wiring, custom fabrication, and meticulous integration into vehicle interiors.

The **environment** at Star Audio #2, as an electronics store and installation center, would typically be a blend of a retail showroom and an installation bay. The showroom area would display various car audio components, speakers, head units, and possibly security systems, allowing customers to browse products and discuss options with staff. The installation bays would be clean and organized, equipped with the necessary tools for wiring, soldering, panel removal, and custom work. Given the precision required for electronic installations, a well-lit and tidy workspace is crucial. Customer interaction usually occurs in the front retail area, where staff can provide information and quotes. It's common for such shops to have a waiting area, although the reviews indicate that the focus might be more on the transactional aspect rather than extensive customer comfort for prolonged waits. The address is 1720 Bridge Blvd SW STE H1, Albuquerque, NM 87105, USA, suggesting a location within a commercial complex or strip mall, which is typical for auto accessory businesses.

The **features** of Star Audio #2, based on available information, center on its specialization in car electronics and its reported ability to perform same-day installations for many services without an appointment. This "no appointment necessary" policy offers a level of convenience for customers who might need immediate service. They also market themselves as "family owned and operated since 2006," suggesting a long-standing presence in the local community and a potentially personal approach to customer interactions. The ability to install customer-supplied electronics is also a feature that distinguishes them, as some shops insist on only installing products purchased directly from them. They emphasize their custom box building capabilities, which allows for highly tailored audio solutions. Furthermore, the claim "Se Habla Español" indicates a commitment to serving a diverse customer base, making their services accessible to Spanish-speaking clients.

However, an objective introduction must also incorporate publicly available customer feedback, which offers a different perspective on certain features. Some reviews indicate that while they offer installations, there have been concerns regarding customer service and pricing. Allegations of items being "extremely overpriced compared to other places" and instances where "products we had originally agreed upon" were not used are significant points of feedback. Additionally, a customer reported an issue where their amplifier began blowing fuses four months post-installation, and they were informed it would cost $35 for an inspection, leading them to another shop that identified and corrected installation errors for free. This suggests that while they provide installation services, the perceived quality assurance or post-installation support may vary, and a "courtesy inspection" for installation-related issues might not be standard practice. There are also severe allegations, including a "police report filed" and an employee allegedly grabbing a customer's phone when they tried to record service, which point to significant issues with professionalism and customer interaction in at least one reported instance. These are important considerations for potential customers when evaluating their options.

Regarding **promotional information**, Star Audio #2 actively communicates its services to local users. Their website indicates a willingness to "install your electronics" and highlights the convenience of "No appointment necessary. Most installs can be completed same day!" This serves as a strong promotional message emphasizing speed and flexibility. The phone numbers provided, (505) 508-0587 and +1 505-508-0587, make it easy for customers to contact them directly for price quotes, which they offer "on the spot." Their marketing on their website emphasizes their local, family-owned status and gratitude for shopping local, aiming to build community rapport. However, concrete, ongoing promotional deals like percentage discounts or package deals are not explicitly detailed in the provided information. Potential customers would likely need to contact the store directly for current pricing or any specific offers available. Given the varied customer feedback, future promotional efforts might also need to address customer trust and service quality to build a consistently positive reputation within the Albuquerque community.

Star Audio #2 Customer Reviews

BUYERS BEWARE!!- police report filed ⸻ Avoid This Place – Terrible Experience I had a very disappointing experience at this car audio shop. The customer service was absolutely horrible from the moment I walked in. Not only were the items extremely overpriced compared to other places, but they also did not use the products we had originally agreed upon. When I tried to record the poor service I was receiving (which is within my rights), the employee grabbed my phone out of my hand and refused to give it back. Completely unprofessional and unacceptable behavior. I would strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere.

I had my sound system installed at this shop, but unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. Four months after the installation, my amplifier began blowing fuses. I returned to the shop to ask if they could inspect their work, but I was told it would cost $35 to have it checked. To ensure the issue was resolved, I took my vehicle to another shop. They inspected the wiring for free and identified errors in the original installation, which they corrected. This experience left me feeling that this shop prioritizes profit over customer satisfaction or quality assurance. While I understand that businesses need to cover their costs, I believe a courtesy inspection in cases like this would have shown confidence in their workmanship and better customer service. Based on my experience, I would recommend seeking alternative shops that are more committed to standing behind their work.

came in so they could rerun my remote wire and they did some unprofessional dangerous work. cut corners and charged me 80$ for the service. (didn’t tell me till after the fact thats how much it was going to be.) after a few weeks the sound stopped working and i went to a friend at a different place where they educated me on how wrong this place had done me and where the remote should’ve been installed. i feel this is a good business but cutting corners and taking advantage of clients is not good.
