SpeeDee Oil Change & Auto Service Introduce

In the expansive and essential "Auto Repair Stations" category, SpeeDee Oil Change & Auto Service has built a strong reputation by offering a blend of fast, convenient oil changes and a comprehensive range of general automotive maintenance and repair services. Since its founding in 1980, SpeeDee has evolved from a quick lube center into a full-service auto care facility, aiming to provide a complete "bumper-to-bumper" solution for vehicle owners. This introduction will objectively detail the typical environment, the broad spectrum of services offered, the distinguishing features that set SpeeDee apart, and the various promotional incentives that appeal to local users seeking reliable and efficient car care.

Environment at SpeeDee Oil Change & Auto Service

The environment at a SpeeDee Oil Change & Auto Service center is designed to be both efficient and inviting. Upon arrival, customers typically encounter a well-maintained and clean facility, reflecting the professionalism of the services offered. The waiting area is usually comfortable, offering amenities such as seating, often complimentary Wi-Fi, and sometimes coffee or other beverages, ensuring a pleasant wait. Transparency is often a key aspect of their environment; while service bays are operational areas, service advisors are readily available to discuss vehicle needs, explain diagnostic findings, and present recommended services in a clear, easy-to-understand manner. The service bays themselves are equipped with modern automotive tools, lifts, diagnostic equipment, and specific machinery for fluid services, tire work, and brake repairs. The atmosphere in the service area is one of organized activity, with technicians working systematically to complete tasks efficiently. Many SpeeDee locations are locally owned and operated, which can foster a community-focused atmosphere, with staff aiming to build long-term relationships with customers based on trust and reliable service. This combination of national brand standards and local ownership often results in a personalized yet professional experience.

    • Replacing the oil filter.
    • Checking and topping off various essential fluids, such as transmission fluid, differential/transfer case fluid, power steering fluid, windshield washer fluid, and battery water (for non-sealed batteries).
    • Performing a visual inspection of key components like the engine air filter, cabin air filter, wiper blades, belts and hoses, brake fluid level, and exterior lights.
    • Checking and setting tire pressure.
    • Cleaning exterior windows and vacuuming interior floorboards.
  • Brake Services: Comprehensive brake inspections, replacement of brake pads and rotors, brake fluid flushes, and repair of other components within the braking system to ensure optimal safety and performance.
  • Tune-Ups: Services aimed at restoring engine performance, which may include spark plug replacement, fuel system cleaning, and other ignition system checks.
  • Tire Services:
    • Tire sales and installation (though inventory may vary by location).
    • Tire rotation for even wear.
    • Tire balancing for a smooth ride.
    • Flat tire repair.
    • Wheel alignment to ensure proper handling and tire longevity.
  • Fluid Services (beyond oil): This includes specialized services for transmission fluid exchange, cooling system flushes, power steering fluid exchange, and differential/transfer case fluid services.
  • Battery Services: Testing battery health, cleaning terminals, and performing battery replacements to ensure reliable starting power.
  • Filter Replacements: Changing out engine air filters and cabin air filters to maintain engine efficiency and interior air quality.
  • Suspension and Steering Repair: Addressing issues with shocks, struts, ball joints, and other components to restore ride comfort and vehicle control.

  • 17-Point Oil Change with Courtesy Check: Their signature service is highly comprehensive, including multiple fluid top-offs, inspections, and basic vehicle checks (like tire pressure and wiper blades). This proactive approach helps identify potential issues before they become major problems.
  • Free Top-Off Service: A significant value-add, SpeeDee typically offers a free top-off service for fluids for a certain period or mileage (e.g., 3 months or 3,000 miles) following an oil change or tune-up, providing ongoing peace of mind.
  • ASE Certified Technicians: Many SpeeDee locations employ ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certified technicians for their mechanical work and tune-ups, ensuring that repairs are performed by knowledgeable and qualified professionals. SpeeDee Oil Change & Auto Service Customer Reviews

Horrible! stay clear of this place! I took my truck in to get an oil change. When I was there, I was the only vehicle. I pulled up into a customer of mine‘s driveway for about five minutes. When I came out, I noticed a 2 1/2 x 10“ puddle of oil on their driveway. when I opened the hood to see what was going on, there was oil everywhere! On top of my radiator on top of the battery down the side of the frame and all over the belly pan. You could also see where they set the oil cap on top of the engine with a round oil ring. it looks like they might’ve Sprayed water on it to wash it out. They definitely did not wipe anything with a rag. Who would leave a mess like that? To top it off, I tipped them without knowing what the heck they did. I wouldn’t let these guys work on my son‘s tricycle!

I will take my business somewhere else , tried to up charge on air filters , transmission fluid and said my oil pan needs to be replaced . Oil plug was stripped . Well, speedee oil change was the last people that changed my oil before , so they would have stripped it then .

I declined service due to their high price Another tech came out asked me to lift the hood so he could examine the engine He then told me there would be an additional charge for a special oil filter for my engine I found a scratch in the clear coat of paint where he had placed his hands I went somewhere else and saved a hundred bucks

I would’ve given a higher rating but this is now the second time this has happened with one of my vehicles and I just don’t like being lied to. The first time this happened was on a 2008 Dodge ram that I owned a few years ago. I specifically requested mobile one oil and Mopar oil filter for my truck. They said no problem and I trusted their word. I then took my truck in for service at a Dodge dealership and it was almost due for another oil change so I had them put the truck on a lift and lo and behold there was a generic brand oil filter, I was not pleased. Fast forward to my newer truck a 2014 Dodge ram in which I also specifically ask for Mopar oil filters. Speedy was the last one to touch my truck back in December when I had the oil change done. It was due for another oil change this week so I decided to do it myself as most of the shops in my area were booked for another two weeks. I get underneath my truck to pull the oil filter out and I see this? Mighty oil filter? Never even heard of it. Again I specifically asked for Mopar. If you don’t have it then at least have the decency to let me know you’re installing something completely different and not charging me premium cost for a generic oil filter. Now I have to question whether or not they actually installed mobile 1 synthetic oil in my truck to begin with. Sorry but never going here again. You blew it.

Happy to give this local business 5 stars. I took my old Suburu Legacy there a few days ago (first time) and the service was fast and friendly. A much better experience than I ever received from my DGDG dealer, that's for sure.
