Solar Tint

Very professional organization. The design team accommodated several different runs of proofs while we settled on the final design. First install wasn't exactly what we wanted and they worked very well with us to resolve the issues. Highly recommend!

My wife and I decided to use this company to tint several windows in our home. Four of them were large trapezoid shaped windows that get sun all day long. Though the price was on the higher side we decided to use Solar Tint based on the belief that their experience would make for the best results. Boy, were we wrong. Within four hours of the tint being installed on the windows, one of our large trapezoid windows had a large crack. After calling the sales representative, He stated that this happens in a small number of windows and because of that it is written into the Contract and Solar Tint does not assist with any funds toward a new window. Though this is written in the contract, we were never told that tint could crack a window. Shame on us for not doing more in-depth research. After this incident we researched and found out that large windows are more likely to crack when applying aftermarket tint. In addition the shape of the window also affects the strength of the glass. Meaning that a large trapezoid window has a higher probability of cracking. When a representative comes to the in-home consultation you would expect, because you are using a “reputable company”, that the “professional” that comes to your home would be able to assess the possible risk and make you aware. However, that was not the case. The risk was never mentioned even after looking at the large windows. Solar Tint stated that cracks are very uncommon, they just put it in the contract just in case. Well after researching and speaking with six window companies, all of which stated they would not recommend tinting windows and they replace a lot of windows due to fractured glass from tint. In addition, we spoke with several installers in the field who stated that broken glass happens more often than Solar Tint led on. We were told while the Easton Town Center Mercedes Benz Dealership was being built, Solar Tint installed tint on a plethora of windows. Well, Mercedes Benz had over 20 large panes of glass break and Solar Tint came back out to remove the tint. Due to this, we were concerned that our other windows would crack. We had Solar Tint come out and remove the tint. We requested a refund and after not hearing back for 12 days, we decided to move forward with this review. We were left with a $3,000 bill to replace the cracked window and no assistance from Solar Tint. We are disappointed to say the least. Not only do we feel misled, but the lack of assistance and care after the fact speaks volumes about the company. I would never recommend this company based on our experience. When you hire a professional window tinting company you would only expect they would advise you of risks and not hide them in the fine print.

From the moment Brendan Jenkins came out to the time the installers arrived, I was impressed with the professionalism and courtesy extended by all employees! It's only been a day since they installed but the job looks great! The sun screening the solar tint provides is amazing! Another plus is they were able to install a month earlier than originally scheduled! We would highly recommend this company!

From start to finish, nothing but professionalism. Brandon, the sales representative, was on time, patient and polite. He was knowledgeable about my specific requests and prices were fair. Being a previous car window tint installer, it is against the grain to hire someone else to do the work. Being injured and non mobile, I'm happy I chose Solar Tint and this particular team. Ben and the installation team had great communication. They were early, which was great, as well-as the work was amazing. Tinted six upper windows 15ft high. They wore shoe protectors and utilized ladder feet protection. They did an amazing job and cleaned up their work area. They even wiped down the walls from soap spray during the installation. Highly recommend this group, I'm picky and very satisfied. Good job!

These guys were great! We had them out to put window tint on two skylights. The installers were super nice and did a great job!!! I highly recommend Solar Tint!!!!
