Showalter's Equipment Introduce

Showalter's Equipment, situated at 2050 NY-17A, Goshen, NY 10924, USA, functions as a specialized entity within the umbrella category of Auto Repair Stations. While the name "Equipment" suggests a broader scope, the customer review specifically highlights truck plow installation, indicating a focus that extends beyond typical passenger car repair to potentially include commercial vehicles and heavy equipment. This specialization likely caters to businesses and individuals who require robust and reliable services for their work-related vehicles and machinery, particularly those involved in demanding tasks like snow removal.

The environment of Showalter's Equipment, consistent with a business specializing in equipment and commercial vehicle services, would likely be a robust and well-equipped workshop. One would expect spacious bays capable of accommodating trucks and possibly larger machinery, along with specialized tools and lifting equipment necessary for heavy-duty tasks. The atmosphere would probably be practical and industrial, focused on getting the job done efficiently and effectively. While a comfortable customer waiting area might be present, the primary emphasis would be on the operational space where the specialized work is performed. The longevity of the business, as alluded to in one review ("Been in business a long time"), often correlates with an established and orderly facility. However, without direct observational data, this remains an inference based on the nature of the business. The interaction with customers, as described in the positive review, suggests a professional approach, while the negative vendor review points to pleasant initial interactions that unfortunately did not lead to resolution.

The core services offered by Showalter's Equipment appear to center around vehicle outfitting and maintenance related to specialized equipment. The most prominent service highlighted in customer feedback is:

  • Truck Plow Installation and Service: As explicitly stated, they installed a "Boss plow" on a truck in 2002 and have continued to service it, indicating long-term expertise in this area. This suggests not just installation but also maintenance, repairs, and potentially sales of snow plows and related accessories.
Given the name "Showalter's Equipment," it is highly probable that their services extend to:
  • General Truck and Commercial Vehicle Repair: Beyond plows, they likely handle general mechanical repairs, maintenance, and diagnostics for trucks, vans, and other commercial vehicles that might not be serviced by standard auto repair shops.
  • Heavy Equipment Repair: Depending on their capabilities, they might also service and repair other types of heavy equipment used in construction, landscaping, or agriculture.
  • Welding and Fabrication: Specialized equipment often requires custom fitting or repair, which could involve welding or fabrication services.
  • Hydraulic System Repair: Snow plows and many types of equipment rely on hydraulic systems, suggesting expertise in this area.
Their long-standing relationship with a customer for plow services underscores their specialization and presumed reliability in this specific niche.

The features of Showalter's Equipment present a striking contrast based on the provided customer and vendor reviews. On the positive side, a key feature is their long-term reliability and consistency, as highlighted by a customer who has done business with them since 2002 and "NEVER had a problem." This review praises their "Very professional, good value and quality," noting that the original 2002 plow is "Still plowing." This indicates exceptional durability of their installations and/or repair work, and a strong commitment to long-term customer support ("Always there for us if we needed him"). This level of enduring satisfaction and product longevity is a significant feature for any equipment service provider. The business also appears to have a long history ("Been in business a long time"), which often suggests stability and experience. However, a profoundly negative feature emerges from the vendor review. This review alleges that Showalter's Equipment "do not pay their bills," owing an "outstanding invoice for years without payment even after losing in court." It further states that the owner, Roger, is "very pleasant and claims to want to make good" but then "stops taking calls and never makes an effort to resolve the outstanding money owed," with a manager reportedly confirming that "Showalter owes everyone." This presents a severe concern regarding their business integrity and financial practices, which directly impacts their reliability and trustworthiness from a vendor's perspective. The warning to "BE CAREFUL!" is a direct consequence of this alleged behavior. Therefore, while some customers experience long-term satisfaction with their equipment-related services, prospective clients and business partners must be aware of the serious allegations concerning their financial dealings.

Specific promotional information for Showalter's Equipment is not readily available through general online searches. Given their specialized nature and the conflicting reviews, they may not engage in widespread public advertising or frequent promotional campaigns in the traditional sense. Their primary focus, as suggested by the positive review, might be on building long-term relationships with clients who require specific equipment services, such as snow plow installation and maintenance. However, it is common for equipment service providers to offer seasonal deals, particularly for snow removal equipment during pre-winter or post-winter periods. They might also have discounts on parts or installation services. To inquire about any current pricing, service offerings, or potential promotions, it is highly recommended to contact Showalter's Equipment directly. You can reach them by phone at (845) 651-7569 or on their mobile line at +1 845-651-7569. Direct communication will provide the most accurate and up-to-date information regarding their services and any available deals. Prospective customers should, however, consider all available feedback, including the serious allegations from the vendor, when making a decision about engaging with this business.

Showalter's Equipment Customer Reviews

We had one of their boss plows put onto our truck in 2002. We NEVER had a problem with this business EVER. Very professional, good value and quality. We still do business with them in 2020. Wouldn’t go anywhere else. NEVER HAD AN ISSUE OR PROBLEM. Always there for us if we needed him. Been in business a long time. Still plowing with the original 2002 plow.

Be careful! I am not sure about the quality of their work, but as a vendor I know they do not pay their bills. Showalter has owed an outstanding invoice for years without payment even after losing in court! In person and over the phone Roger is very pleasant and claims to want to make good. Then he stops taking calls and never makes an effort to resolve the outstanding money owed. His manager has told me that Showalter owes everyone, All I can say is BE CAREFUL!

Obviously, I can only speak for our experience with Showalter's as a plow company. We have had nothing but great service from them with both our plows. During a storm they handle what comes in the door like a triage unit. Worth buying from someone who can help you when you really need it.
