Very professional shop they do great work at reasonable prices on 4x4s that specialize in toyotas. The staff is not only Very friendly and accommodating but super knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend this shop to others

I took my FJ cruiser here for a lift kit a few months ago. This is the best shop around. They did incredible work in a reasonable amount of time without charging an arm and a leg. Annie in the office is very knowledgeable and will help you pick the right stuff for your rig!

I took my 1998 Tahoe in for shocks. Whilst they were removing one of my front wheels the ball joint came off right along with it. Upon further inspection, they found suspension and steering parts that needed replacing. Annie and the guys teamed up and found a way to save me money and get a fully rebuild suspension. Places now just don't do that. They care and they want you to know it. My Tahoe will go to no other for repair. Customers come first and thier services is outstanding. Highly recommended.

Shaffers was recommended to me by another shop that I was contacting to lift my truck, and man, they did not disappoint. If you're like me and don't do a whole lot of off-roading and want to keep the functionality of your ride, Shaffers will help guide you in the right direction without selling you extras that you don't need or want. All in all, I think it's a great shop for people new to the game or those who have been in it for a while. Unless it's dealer-related, this will be the only place that touches my ride.

I had put off my suspension install on my '98 Land Cruiser for over a year. Several shops had been non-responsive or unprofessional, delaying the installation even longer. I passed Shaffers on my way home one day and sent them an e-mail (my preferred communication method) the next day. They responded quickly and were able to provide a quote for the suspension work which was in line with what I was expecting. The truck was dropped off in the morning and was done by early afternoon. The workmanship was excellent and exceeded my expectations. I am recommending Shaffers to coworkers and anyone i come across that needs work done on their rig.

They are the best. I had some issues trying to install rock sliders on my 2025 Tundra myself. So I called them up to see if they can do the install. They squeezed me in the following day and hours later I’m Cruz’s with brand new rock sliders on my rig! Annie took care of me. She is the best! I definitely will be back to have them help me with more add-on to my rig in the near future 💪🤙

This is the best 4X4 shop in the Bay Area! I wish I would have found them when I started my 3rd Gen Tacoma build. I couldn’t have asked for any better customer service and the truck drives like a dream! All the employees are very knowledgeable and helpful along the way. I won’t have another shop touch my truck unless it’s Shaffer’s Off-Road! Annie is the general manager there and she will be able to answer any questions you may have. Shaffer’s will always show you that you are a valued customer. I couldn’t be more happy with the outcome of my truck! Anyone out there looking for a shop to do their build, look no farther. Shaffer’s off-road and performance is your one stop shop! I want to add that I am very meticulous with my truck and I have full trust in this shop to do the very best work possible. I am very thankful that I found this shop. You have a lifelong customer here! I highly recommend this shop for any little or big job that you need done on your ride! I’ve been coming to Shaffer’s Offroad now for almost 5 years, even back when they were located in Alameda. Mike knows more about offroad parts and systems than most - and it’s not just his job, but his passion as well. His advice has always been spot on. I could probably “break a crowbar in a sandbox” as Mike says - and I don’t trust anyone to fix my rig other than Shaffer’s. Just tell him what you’re trying to do, how you plan on using it, and I’m sure you’ll get great advice and quality workmanship. I’ve seen just about every brand and model of offroad vehicle in there from Jeep to Toyota to Ford and beyond, and he’s made some amazing builds with each of them. Crawlers, overlanders, prerunners, and of course Baja trucks, and more. I love my truck and all the places that it has taken me, and I couldn’t have done it without Shaffer’s Offroad. Oh, and it never hurts to bribe Annie in the office with sweets or fishing gear ;)

Brought my Ford Raptor in for some maintenance and upgrades, and this shop exceeded expectations. They know offroad vehicles inside and out—gave me solid advice without the upsell. Work was done on time, quality was top-notch, and the truck handles way better both on and off the trail. Annie and the team did a great job setting up my appointment and keeping me in the loop with status updates. They clearly take pride in their work, and it shows. If you’re serious about offroading and want it done right, this is the place to go in the Bay Area.

Great shop. I've had a bunch of work done for my Rubicon here from a new suspension to a roof rack etc. Always super friendly, fair pricing and the quality of work is awesome. I actually have an appointment to get more work done next week =)
