Unfortunately i had the unpleasant encounter to meet Rustic Cycles. Recently sold my bike, and Rustic Cycle was hired to transport the motorcycle for the purchaser. Rustic Cycles agreed to pick it up on a snowy evening on 1-16-2025. Which I'm assuming was the first mistake. I was advised y the purchaser at 530 pm that they were coming to get the bike at 630pm. Which I had to make arrangements to close my business to be there for pick up. When he arrived, as soon as he exited his truck, he was yelling, causing, and stated i should have my driveway plowed. In 3 years we have never had to plow our gravel 130 foot driveway. Definitely don't have a plow guy on call for him. He complained and then threatened to leave the bike in the snow. Then had the nerve to ask for my assistance while acting like a mad man. Very unprofessional as a business owner, that should of considered his options before making the business arrangements with the purchaser. Excuses of his truck battery being dead, and trailer being buried should have been a sign to maybe postpone it til morning, or not to agree to the delivery. One night , and some sunshine makes a world of a difference. I definitely will never call Rustic Cycles for anything due to his interactions.

Steer clear. Went in for stator and starter repair. Radio didn't work when I picked up my bike. Jason said" I didn't do anything to it". His helper said why do you need a radio on the bike anyway!?? I was angry that he didn't offer to take it in back and fix it. Instead he wanted me to set up another appointment. Terrible customer service. I waited to put up this review due to being a business owner myself but I'm going into the season with no tunes and another bill.

I have known Jason for over 15 years. He has built motors and other stuff for me. Never once have I had bad service or unexpected things come up. Just recently I had him help me with ordering a clutch basket from evolution industries. He saved me money and did the swap for me quickly while I was 650 miles from home. We planned for the work so that the down time would only be the scope of work involved.✊. Right on brother man Cleveland Ohio has a good wrench and a man of his word.

Review written about Rustic Cycles LLC Scheduled an appointment for July on my 2014 Kawasaki ZX-10R, 6 weeks out to have the following done: Front & rear tires and brake pads installed Brake fluid checked New clip-ons and grips installed New CRG clutch and brake levers installed Throttle lock installed Rustic had my motorcycle for about 2 weeks. Let me start out by saying Jason was a nice enough guy to talk with at first but I learned after the fact that he's not very competent when it comes to sport bikes and will flat out lie when you try to get your money back. Jason informed me he didn't even have a way to get my motorcycle off the ground for the tire changes and had to order front and rear stands. Mind you my bike has stock suspension and ride height so nothing special to need specific equipment for. I also informed Jason I was providing my own parts and was quoted $400-500 but upon pick-up the price had jumped to $670 without any notice. Jason told me it was because I supplied my own parts even though I told him I had the parts already when I first asked for a quote on labor. Was forced to pay before I could even look at the work performed on my motorcycle. Another employee rolled my motorcycle out to me in their parking lot where I had my first opportunity to see the work. I could see quite a bit of damage on multiple parts. Damage to my front and rear wheels from improper tires installation. You can tell by the damage (1/4 inch inward on lip edge of wheel) from tire installation machine. Both wheels, about 70% around, both on exhaust side. Gouges about 1/8 inch deep. These wheels had new powder coating and replacement tires had never been mounted on them before until Rustic. Jason responded with "my machine could never do that" so I guess it happened by magic. Clip-ons (handlebars) not installed properly and misaligned. Clutch perch (bracket) and brand new CRG clutch lever damaged from incorrect installation. (Sliver damage marks in pictures). Did not install pivot sleeve (Silver circle sleeve in pictures) so when the clutch lever was used for the first time it caved into the perch. On same side Rustic stripped out 2 mounting screws so my throttle controls were not tight and spun around the handlebar which is very dangerous. Brake side controls weren't tightened down either. Additionally, Rustic never adjusted clutch cable or throttle. Both were very sloppy with a huge gap of play. Throttle lock package not installed properly or tuned, was never locked into place or adjusted for use. Didn't use the correct spacer for my model bike as if Jason didn't even look at installation instructions. Brake fluid not checked as requested. On the day of pickup (Saturday, July 26th 2024) and before I even left Rustic Cycles property I brought all these defects, damages, and improper installations, to the attention of Jason Kovach in person. At that time Jason Kovach denied any responsibility even though he was the only possible reason these things were damaged or installed incorrectly. Again I explained everything was new and he inspected the items ahead of time and before even starting the work. Even tried to blame "China" for making poor quality parts. My parts were high quality, not Chinese, highly rated, and researched extensively by myself. This went on for about 90 minutes when Jason Kovach finally offered a partial refund, quote from Jason " I don't want to argue with you anymore so I'll just give you a refund". He went inside to do such and I left for home. Even tried to make me feel bad that he spend "$20 worth of painters tape to protect my custom paint". What a joke! While having the motorcycle back home I have indeed found more damage done by Rustic Cycles such a both fork seals blown. Zero fork fluid leaking before handing it over to them and a ton leaking after. Might be bad timing or might be something Rustic did to get my front end off the ground before getting the necessary stands. Just another garbage motorcycle shop with a lying owner.
