Route 66 Auto RV Mobile Repair Customer Reviews

On Sunday 11/3/24, we were in a horrible location to break down and there was a snow storm coming. Jake helped get us off the high ridge and we limped into Cline Corners where we spent 24 hrs. The serpentine belt went out and he didn't have the correct tool to fix on the side of the road. He made it seem that he would return the following morning to make things right, one excuse after another and nothing. We paid over $1300 for 40 minutes of his work. We were charged 4 hrs of his drive time ($225 an hr) and we did lots of phone work trying to find the correct part. Only use him as a very last resort, but it was a Sunday with a winter storm approaching. Jake is very personable but when a business does not take credit cards be leary, good thing l carry a checkbook.

Due to the balloon festival, they took a while to get to me. 250 an hour labor, 125 parts run, and 325 service call. 1 hour diagnostic also at 250. I thought they were a bit overpriced, they did get me back on the road.

Jake and his crew were the beyond the best! They were super efficient and the turn around time was amazing! I’ve never seen a more knowledgeable and friendly mechanic! You would be crazy not to use them if in the Albuquerque area! Thanks for getting us back on the road!

Very disappointed in the business practices. Gave Jake a credit card # to cover the service call. He over charged the card. In addition he had the technician that came out collect for the service in cash. I contacted him numerous times to get it resolved and he kept saying he would but he has not. Be careful if you decide to deal with him.

All I can say is they are not good. Our RV furnace quit working on our 2022 Redwood. This happened on a Saturday and my warranty company was having a hard time finding mobile repair service. Rt 66 says they could come out. When they called they said the fee was 250.00 (going rate is 150.00 for diagnostic) and they preferred cash. The guy who came out knew nothing about in command and after about an hour of fiddling around said he could not figure out the problem. Total waste of time!

Started having some engine trouble in my diesel motorhome on I 40. All it needed was new fuel filters and after calling around this place seems like the only one that would do a drive out job for an RV. They charged me $1500 for what was about two hours worth of work, but the kicker is they didn’t actually change both of the fuel filters. They only changed one and we’re so convinced that the other one wasn’t what I said it was that they ignored me and didn’t replace it and the best part is, they didn’t tell me that they didn’t replace it so as I started to drive down the road and continued to have engine problems, I got to pay for another mechanic to come figure out that they just didn’t do the job that I hired them to do. After the fact, I pulled the receipts for the parts that they purchased and they decided to overcharge me by $10 for every single item that they picked up at the store plus they charged me for the run to the store even though it was on the way to the RV. These guys are not qualified to work on a diesel engine. They do not know what they’re doing. At one point they misidentified a coolant filter and thought it was a fuel filter and we’re ready to rip off the wrong part or label my engine damaged beyond what they were capable of doing And they were so confident in how wrong they were. Do not hire these people. Finally, these guys are not professionals. It was like three stooges rolled in, poked around my motor for a while, ignored every instruction for what parts I wanted them to pick up and replace and got in a fight behind my RV. One of them drove off after a bunch of screaming at each other. I’m currently filing a complaint with a Better Business Bureau and contesting that their charges on my credit card were fraudulent because they misrepresented the services that they provided.
