I have an old family home in Cherryville, but live in Georgia. I visit the Cherryville home a few times a year. I knew of Rick because he was a close friend of my brother, who was also a mechanic (he has sadly passed on). On every visit I have made to Cherryville since my brother’s passing - I have taken my truck to Rick for a check up. It’s an old 1999 Ford 150, that my brother left to me - and it remains very sentimental to me. Rick keeps the truck going strong, and it runs perfectly since he has attended to it over the years. I wouldn’t take the truck anywhere else. When there has been an issue with the truck, Rick has taken the time to carefully explain the problem, and actually shown me the exact issue in the shop to make sure I completely understood what needed to be done. As well, Rick often can present a options to save on costs. Rick’s prices are very reasonable and affordable. This review wouldn’t be complete without my mentioning Rick’s outstanding receptionist, Lynn. Lynn is wonderful, extremely warm and kind. I’ve so enjoyed getting to know her on my visits. As well, Rick’s assistant, Jason, is very kind and welcoming whenever I come in. As a senior citizen, I so appreciate that Rick sees to it that I receive a ride home when I need to leave the truck with him (he also makes sure I get a ride back when the truck is ready). If you desire an exceptionally competent, experienced, and extremely knowledgeable mechanic, you can count on Rick’s Automotive!

horrible experience. zero customer service skills, ended up yelling at me & i had to call my mom to get her involved. RICK. beyond rude and disgusting behavior.. no wonder his employee's look miserable.

Rick stands behind the work he does and sees that it’s right! Jason is a great mechanic and knows what he’s doing! They will do a great job! Lynn will help do what needs to be done! Great service!

I have a bad back (BTW just got done with surgery). I had plans to replace a headlight which had failed. I went to advance automotive and bought a headlamp. Idealized I could not do it, so I called Rick's and asked if he could put in a headlight. He said no, because in all his time as a mechanic he had never put in a part he had not bought. I explained my dilemna, and he still said no. Draw your own conclusions.
