Repair That Glass Introduce

Repair That Glass, located at 770 N Main St, Hubbard, OH 44425, USA, operates as a specialized "Auto Repair Station" with a primary focus on automotive glass repair and replacement. This business serves the local community in Hubbard and surrounding areas, providing essential services for vehicle owners dealing with damaged windows, windshields, and mirrors. They can be reached by phone at (330) 534-3192 or via mobile at +1 330-534-3192, making them accessible for inquiries and service scheduling.

The environment at Repair That Glass would be specifically configured for auto glass services. This typically includes a clean and well-lit bay suitable for vehicle entry, allowing technicians to safely remove and install glass components without contamination. Specialized tools for glass removal (such as cutting tools for adhesive bonds) and installation (like suction cups and caulking guns for sealants) would be readily available. Given the precision required for modern windshield installations, especially those involving advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), the facility would ideally have a dedicated area for these tasks. A customer waiting area would also be present, providing a comfortable space for clients while their vehicle is being serviced, particularly for quicker repairs like side mirror replacements. The focus of the environment would be on careful, clean, and precise work to ensure proper fit and sealing of new glass components.

Repair That Glass offers a specialized range of services centered on automotive glass. Their primary services include:

  • Windshield Replacement: This is a core service, involving the complete removal of a damaged windshield and installation of a new one. They provide options for both aftermarket and potentially OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) equivalent glass.
  • Windshield Repair: For minor chips and cracks, they would typically offer repair services using resin injection techniques to prevent the damage from spreading, preserving the original windshield where possible.
  • Side Mirror Replacement: As highlighted in a customer review, they are capable of replacing damaged side mirrors, which are crucial for vehicle safety and visibility.
  • Car Window Replacement: Repair and replacement of door windows, rear windows, and other fixed glass panels on a vehicle.
  • ADAS Calibration (Implied Need): While a challenging customer experience revealed issues with a broken calibration machine, the necessity for ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems) calibration after windshield replacement is a critical, modern service. This involves recalibrating cameras and sensors often integrated into the windshield to ensure safety features like pre-collision systems function correctly. A reputable auto glass shop would either perform this in-house or guide customers to a facility that can. The company's subsequent action to refund for the repair at Toyota indicates an acknowledgment of this critical need, even if they couldn't perform it initially.
  • General Auto Glass Services: Any other services related to automotive glass, such as sunroof glass repair or replacement, if applicable.
These services are essential for maintaining vehicle safety, structural integrity, and visibility after glass damage.

The features of Repair That Glass, as gleaned from the customer reviews, paint a picture of a business with both strong positives and areas that presented challenges, ultimately resolved with integrity.

  • Pleasant and Respectable Staff/Company: One reviewer enthusiastically describes the "Gentleman" who fixed their side mirror as "very very pleasant and nice," and the company as "respectable." This indicates a strong focus on positive customer interaction and courteous service, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Competitive Pricing: A customer noted that the price for their windshield replacement was "good" and "half of my deductible," indicating that Repair That Glass offers cost-effective solutions compared to insurance claims.
  • Commitment to Honesty and Standing Behind Work (Crucial Feature): This is arguably their most important feature, demonstrated through a follow-up retraction by a previously dissatisfied customer. Despite initial issues where a camera was broken during windshield replacement and ADAS calibration couldn't be performed, the business owner "refunded us with no problem for the repair needed to the camera that was broken while in his care." This act of accountability and willingness to rectify mistakes "shows a truly honest businessman who is willing to stand behind his business/name." This transforms a negative experience into a positive reflection on their integrity.
  • Challenges with Modern Technology (ADAS): A significant challenge, and thus a notable feature for consideration, is their initial difficulty with ADAS calibration. The customer reported a "pre-collision system malfunction" after replacement, a broken heater coil in the camera, and an admission that their "machine is down" and they needed to "call Toyota." While this indicates a gap in their immediate capabilities for modern, complex windshield systems, their subsequent refund for the dealer repair somewhat mitigates this. It highlights that while they might provide good value for standard glass replacement, customers with ADAS-equipped vehicles should proactively discuss calibration capabilities.
  • Efficiency for Minor Repairs: The prompt fix for the side mirror suggests efficiency for simpler glass repairs.
These features suggest a company that, despite potential technological limitations, places high value on customer satisfaction and ethical business practices, particularly in rectifying issues.

Regarding promotional information, Repair That Glass primarily relies on its competitive pricing and the positive experiences of its customers, especially concerning their integrity and willingness to stand behind their work. The fact that their pricing was "half of my deductible" serves as a strong direct promotion for customers considering insurance claims. While explicit, time-limited promotional offers are not provided, their core value proposition of providing quality auto glass services at good prices is a continuous form of promotion. The highly positive customer reviews, particularly the retraction that highlights their honesty and accountability, are powerful testimonials that would drive word-of-mouth referrals. For customers needing auto glass services, contacting Repair That Glass directly by phone would be the best way to get a quote, inquire about their services, and discuss any specific concerns related to modern vehicle technology or ADAS calibration. Their commitment to resolving issues, as demonstrated by the refund, serves as a strong, albeit indirect, promotional message of trust and reliability.

Replaced my front windshield with an after market windshield...I did not know this would happen. The price was good and you get what you pay for so decided to go against the insurance claim because it was priced half of my deductible.....I picked my car up and when I started it up the dashboard of my rav4 had a message on it "pre-collision system malfunction visit your dealer".....I immediately went back in and told them and he came out messed around with the screen then pulled the camera out tried something with that put it back together said it needs calibrated and his machine is down and said he will have to call toyota the next day..... we called the next day late morning to see what he found out and he said he's waiting on a call back..... we called Toyota and made an appt for the next day which showed the heater coil of the camera was broken..... they also said the after market windshield MAY not calibrate..... they said they are 99% sure the camera was broken when they replaced the glass. We ordered the part that was needed to repair and another $500 later my car is fixed by TOYOTA..... repair that glass did call after the 3rd day and wanted us to bring the car back in and he was going to take the glass out again put it back in and try again but we already had toyota appt made so decided to go with them...... if this is your business you would think you would keep up with the modern windshield and what is needed and not let your machine stay broken or at least let the customer know calibration is not able to be done..... we will not return... I am going to make a retraction to my previous post.... after making the needed repair to my camera by TOYOTA we took the bill to repair that glass and he refunded us with no problem for the repair needed to the camera that was broken while in his care...... this shows a truly honest businessman who is willing to stand behind his business/ name. I would recommend his business to others because he does stand behind his work
