Ralphs Automotive Introduce

Ralphs Automotive, situated at 39 W Main St, Hohenwald, TN 38462, USA, operates within the "Auto Repair Stations" category, presenting itself as a provider of vehicle repair services and, based on customer reviews, also appears to engage in used car sales. The business can be reached via phone at (931) 796-2145 or mobile phone at +1 931-796-2145.

Regarding the environment, specific details about the physical layout or customer waiting areas of Ralphs Automotive are not widely available through public information. However, the interactions described in customer reviews suggest that the environment is primarily a service-oriented one, where vehicles are brought for assessment and repair. The focus appears to be on the practical aspects of auto servicing, aligning with the typical operations of an auto repair station. The business hours are listed as Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., with a 24-hour lockout service also advertised, indicating a commitment to broader automotive assistance beyond standard repair hours.

The range of services offered by Ralphs Automotive, as advertised, includes engine repair, rebuilds, brakes, transmissions, A/C and heater repair, and the sale of new and used tires. This comprehensive list suggests that the establishment aims to cater to a wide array of automotive needs. Furthermore, the mention of "30+ years of experience" on their public profiles suggests a history of providing these services within the community. In addition to repairs, the business is also noted for selling used vehicles.

However, an objective introduction necessitates acknowledging the features and customer experiences as reported. Customer reviews available on public platforms present a stark contrast to typical positive testimonials, heavily influencing the perception of Ralphs Automotive's features and reliability. One prominent review describes a situation where a vehicle was brought in for transmission repair, a service explicitly stated as offered by the business. The customer alleges that despite driving the vehicle to the shop, they were later informed the transmission was not fixed and the vehicle would need to be towed away. This review further claims discrepancies in communication regarding who performed the work, with the owner reportedly stating it was his workers, not himself. Additionally, the customer reports being charged more than the agreed-upon price for parts that allegedly did not need replacement, such as a starter that was not broken. The outcome, as described, was an unfixed vehicle that the customer could not drive away, leading to a significant financial loss and the reported transfer of vehicle title due to inability to pay for non-existent repairs. This account highlights alleged issues with service delivery, pricing transparency, and diagnostic accuracy, particularly concerning transmission work.

Another review focuses on the used car sales aspect of Ralphs Automotive. This customer recounts a family member's experience purchasing a vehicle, asserting that the vehicles sold are of poor quality, referred to as "junk." The review details significant and immediate issues with a purchased vehicle, including thin brakes (allegedly blamed on the new owners despite recent purchase), a roof leak, and non-functional electrical accessories and park assist. The customer mentions a subsequent cost of almost $5,000 to replace the engine within two months of ownership, indicating severe underlying problems with the vehicle at the time of sale. These reviews collectively suggest concerns regarding the quality of both repair services and vehicles sold, casting doubt on claims of trustworthiness and the overall value proposition.

Given the nature of the reviews, promotional information for Ralphs Automotive is less about direct advertisements and more about the public perception shaped by these customer experiences. While the business may promote competitive rates and extensive experience, the detailed negative testimonials serve as a significant counter-narrative. For local users seeking auto repair or a used vehicle, these public accounts highlight potential risks associated with the business, including alleged dishonesty, inflated charges for unperformed or unnecessary work, and the sale of unreliable vehicles. The strong admonition in the reviews to "DO NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLE THERE" or "THEY ARE LIARS AND A SCAM" indicates a severe dissatisfaction that would likely serve as a cautionary signal to potential customers, superseding any positive promotional messaging that might be present. The absence of readily available counter-arguments or explanations from the business regarding these specific incidents means that the customer accounts stand as significant public information regarding their operational features and customer interactions.

DO NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLE THERE!! Drove my vehicle there to get it fixed. Clearly says they work on transmissions on their site and shop. Agreed upon a set price and all for working on my vehicle. Then I get a call saying my vehicle was fixed but the transmission isn't working and that I would have to have it towed away yet I drove it there. Brought my buddy in who works on vehicles who called them out on several steps they didn't take when removing transmission to work on it but was in turn told they don't work on transmissions and that it wasn't him who worked on it but his workers. Then charges me more than agreed upon price starting he changed out parts that didn't even need to be charged out, for example starter. Which was not in any way broken or acting up. Charged a crazy amount for not fixing anything. Couldn't even drive my vehicle away let alone pay for a vehicle I couldn't drive away. Had to sign my title over to them and now or family of 5 has one vehicle. Never have i ever heard of a vehicle coming to get repaired not be fixed but want the money for it. DO NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLE THERE. THEY ARE LIARS AND A SCAM. If I had the money to take them to court I sure would have but unfortunately I didn't. AGAIN DO NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLE THERE UNLESS YOU WANT IT BROKEN MORE!

I had a family member who recently bought a vehicle, to be quite honest, I'm unsure of how much Ralph paid whoever made their 5 star review because he should not be selling vehicles. They look great at first but seems like everyone I've talked to has said that he's a crook, unfortunately we didn't know until AFTER purchasing a vehicle. The cars are a good deal for a reason!!! They're JUNK! Now my sister is paying almost 5 THOUSAND dollars trying to fix their vehicle wich they have owned for only 2 months.... the brakes are super thin and this issue got blamed on the owners of the vehicle. There's no possible way to go through a set of brakes in 2 months. Theres a leak in the roof, the electrical accessories dont work correctly, the park assist doesnt work, so on and so forth.... Absolutely absurd! Go ahead and mark my comment as "false" and report me Ralph! My comment is as true as it's going to get. The 5,000$ is just to get a new engine, not all the other damage this car came with. Thanks for the paper weight!

YOU WILL BE SCREWED OVER I have a single mother. Who is disabled and cannot work. My grandmother bought a car for my mom here. Before I joined the army I was a Mechanic at dealerships for almost 10 years. The car the bought had what appeared to be a minor fix. I replaced a sensor. That didn't work so once I was in the army they sent it back to him a $2k repair was $4k he included unnecessary items. 1 week later same issues. After my family called and spoke and he was rude and hung up on all of them I called to speak professionally as someone who understands both sides. Once he realized I knew what I was talking about he refused to work with us. And yelled called my family rude names and hung up. Also during this he worked on another relatives vehicle he was supposed to only diagnose. He made repairs without consent and charges them $1k for items that didn't fix it. HIS VEHICLES ARE LEMONS AND THEY CANT FIX A SANDWICH LET ALONE A CAR YOU WILL BE SCREWED OVER

He is a crook and does not like when people call him put on his mistakes. He sold an Equinox to my sister for $6,000.00. Within 6 months of having the vehicle, it broke down. RALPH, promised to fix or or trade her for another vehicle if he could not fix vehicle. So lat Friday, we paid $3200.00, for the Equinox to be fixed, and within a week of having the Equinox back, the vehicle still is not fixed. When we called to speak with him, he blatantly stated that he does not have to do anything to the vehicle to fix it and take to dealership, and that he did not appreciate my family calling to speak to him about the issue. Called us all liars, yet Ralph, claims he is a Christian and uses that to get what he wants out of people. I would NEVER buy nor take my vehicle to this man to have him work on my vehicle at all! The way I see it, once a thief, always a thief!

Would not recommend Ralph Tacketts shop to anyone. I have taken my car to him several times to have overpriced work done that was supposed to be garanteed. He absolutely does not do a good job, and the work isnt garanteed at all. Ive taken my car and dropped it off to be fixed same problem several times to be charged for other things and the problems i initially had still remains. I'm having to petition him to court as we speak!! Beware!!!
