I drove to 2 shops in the City of Pickens and due to the nature of my problems I felt they were not equipped to address my concerns. The I found Pickens Auto Repair. They are a full scale garage and we're able to restore my car to it's original condition. Gave me a ride home and picked me up when it was ready! This place is the real deal!!!

Pickens Auto Repair does a quality job and the work they do can be trusted. I have known these men for years and they stand behind their work and treat customers well. They were up front about the time needed for repairs and scheduled my repair accordingly. I have not had any difficulty or needed to return my vehicles to them nor have I had to wait longer than expected to get the work completed. Quotes were given prior to work being done and I have never had any complaints. They are doing a great business and it is good idea to call ahead of time to schedule work to make sure they will be able to promptly do your repairs, without undue delay.

I am begging you NOT to use these scammers. I went in for a simple oil change, long story short, and came out needing a new transmission. The one trip for an oil change led to two more trips with different 'issues' where I spent a few thousand dollars there in total. On the last trip, they replaced my transmission cooler hoses. The hose was not tightened, therefore, causing ALL of my transmission fluid to leak out. I park on grass, so I never saw the fluid leaking out until it was too late. The mechanic failed to make adequate repairs to my vehicle resulting in my transmission to lock up. I had to have my car towed home because I was driving one day and it just locked up on me. When I called to explain to them it was their fault they just kept saying "I'm sorry, but what do you want me to do?" They would not compensate me or even offer to fix it for free. I was not offered a rental car or any help whatsoever from them. I asked for a copy of their shop liability insurance and was not provided this information. Not to mention all of this happened over a 2 months time span. My jeep has run fine for 6 years and a month after I took it to them, I am without a car. After I got it out of the shop the last time, they called me to assure me everything was fine and stated no safety features were messed up. They have manipulated me, used me, and taken my service for granted. Again, do not use Pickens Auto Repair. Please take your money elsewhere!!!

Never Again!! I took my car to have them check out a few issues and find the problem. They told me they could get to it in a couple of days. They never once called me. I called a few days later, and was told the car would be ready the next day, and told me to call back. I called the next day, and was told again it would be ready the next day again, and to call back again. Again and again, the same thing.. Eventually, I began calling every 3-4 days, and was told the same thing every time. They were rude and apparently annoyed with me calling. Finally, they claimed it was done.. 3 WEEKS AFTER I HAD DROPPED THE CAR OFF!! They charged me $1500 for repairs that I'm not positive was ever done to the car, and was very rude when I picked it up. Whatever they did, the car drove way worse than it did before I took it there... I PAID $1500 AND THE CAR COULDN'T EVEN MAKE IT HOME FROM THE REPAIR STATION!! I went back to argue their "repairs" and they proceeded to tell me that they "didn't have time to check the car for the problems", and that I would need to bring the car back in when they had more time to check it. MORE TIME?? THEY HAD 3 WEEKS!! They said they would call with an estimate for the charges for them to check it, WHICH WAS WHY I TOOK THE CAR THERE IN THE FIRST PLACE!! Of course, they never called. I'm done with this place for good!!
