Performance Imports Inc Introduce

Performance Imports Inc is an auto repair station located at 6471 Peachtree Industrial Blvd, Atlanta, GA 30360, USA. They can be reached via phone at (770) 457-5550 or mobile at +1 770-457-5550. As an Auto Repair Station, Performance Imports Inc aims to provide a range of services for vehicle owners, focusing on the repair and maintenance of automobiles.

Historically, Performance Imports Inc has been known for its specialization in European automobiles, particularly Porsche and German vehicles. Many customers have chosen this shop for its perceived expertise in these specific car brands. The services offered typically include addressing issues indicated by a check engine light, routine maintenance such as oil changes, and more complex mechanical and electrical repairs like headlight wiper motor repair.

The environment of an auto repair station like Performance Imports Inc generally consists of a reception area for customers, a service bay where mechanics work on vehicles, and potentially a waiting area. The service bay would be equipped with various tools, lifts, and diagnostic equipment necessary for car repairs. While specific details about the interior aesthetics or waiting amenities of Performance Imports Inc are not explicitly provided, a professional auto repair shop typically maintains a clean and organized workspace to ensure efficient service and a presentable environment for customers.

In terms of service delivery, customers bring their vehicles to Performance Imports Inc for diagnosis and repair. The process usually involves an initial assessment of the vehicle’s issues, providing an estimated timeline for repairs, and then proceeding with the work. Communication between the shop, often through a service manager like Peter Wendt, and the customer is a crucial aspect of the service experience. This communication includes updates on the repair progress, potential additional issues discovered, and discussions about parts and costs.

One of the purported features of Performance Imports Inc, particularly in its earlier reputation, was its ability to proficiently repair German automobiles. This specialization would attract owners of brands like Porsche and Mercedes Benz who sought mechanics with specific knowledge and experience with these vehicles. The aim was to offer high-quality, precise repairs that maintained the integrity and performance of these sophisticated cars. Furthermore, the practice of washing a car before customer pickup, as mentioned in a review, indicates an effort to provide a complete and presentable service.

However, recent customer feedback suggests a shift in the quality of service and customer experience at Performance Imports Inc. One customer reported significant delays in getting their Mercedes Benz S500 repaired, with an initial two to three-week estimate extending to seven weeks. While the check engine light issue and oil change were completed, the headlight wiper motor repair was not fully resolved. Communication from the shop, specifically from Peter Wendt, was noted as needing improvement, with customers desiring more proactive updates and options regarding repair decisions, especially concerning the use of new parts and the potential for double labor charges if parts were not approved before reassembly. Concerns were also raised about quality control, as a customer reported a loose headlamp assembly after picking up their car. Another review highlighted severe dissatisfaction, citing horrible service, incompetent mechanics, and extended periods of not having their vehicle returned.

As for promotional information, without direct advertisements or offers from Performance Imports Inc, any promotions would be speculative. However, typical promotions for auto repair stations can include discounts on specific services like oil changes, tire rotations, or diagnostic checks. Shops might also offer seasonal maintenance packages, loyalty programs, or discounts for new customers. Given the nature of the reported issues, any current promotional efforts would likely focus on rebuilding trust and demonstrating an improved commitment to timely and quality service, potentially emphasizing a renewed focus on customer satisfaction and communication.

Performance Imports Inc Customer Reviews

I have owned several Porsches in the passed and always received excellent service and repair work at Performance Imports, however, I hate to say this but their standards have changed. I dropped off my Mercedes Benz S500 off to have a check engine light addressed, oil change, and headlight wiper motor repaired. They had orginally said my car would be ready in two weeks, three weeks tops. After having it for seven weeks I finally got it back with two of the three repairs completed. In all fairness to Mr. Peter Wendt they did fix the check engine light problem and completed the oil change but they were unable to fix the headlight wiper motor. I did suggest that they look at it first and if they couldn't get the motor unfrozen or find a good used motor assembly, to call me and see what a new motor would cost. Peter would always return my calls but his communication skills need improvement. I was never given the option to decide to go ahead and use the new part before he put the front bumper back on and car back together. After reassembling the car he called me to say the car was ready. Now there would be double the labor charges to go back and handle the problem. In all fairness he did repair the wiper pump motor but its a moot point because he disabled the entire headlight wiper system by removing the fuses. I guess if we hold Performance Imports to Meat Loafs, " Bat out of Hell" standards, two out of three ain't bad! I wish it wasn't this way but I cannot see Paradise by their dashboard lights! Peter what happened to your shop guy? At one point in time your shop was second to none on repairing German automobiles. I sincerely hope that you can turn it around and improve your customer service and communication skills. After spending $900 for repairs that were only 2/3 rds completed I can't in good faith recommend using this shop. In all fairness to their shop they did wash my car before I picked it up but after getting it back home I noticed that they didn't put my headlamp assembly back in correctly because my righthand turn signal unit/assembly is extremely loose and rattling around in the front of my vehicle. Performance Imports has poor quality control on repairs and definitely needs improvement on communication skills.🥺

Horrible service. Incompetent mechanics. Performance Imports needs to export Peter Wendt back to whatever country he illegally came from. They've had my car for months and refuse to give it back. I don't want them to fix it because they obviously can't. GIVE ME MY CAR BACK NOW or you will be hearing from some people of authority! 😡😡😡

Has been holding my fiance's car for 10 months. We live in a different state so this has been very difficult for us. Keeps claiming he'll have it done in a week or two but keeps making excuses. Doesn't return our phone calls. We are fed up with this guy. Don't take your car here.

Have had my car for close to a month “waiting for a part”. Got the part in a week ago and said my car would be fixed the next day. Still no car. Impossible to get in contact with and not worth the hassle. Go anywhere besides here.
