If I could give zero stars, I would. I've never written a negative review before, but the awful service I received here needs to be shared so others don't make the same mistake I did. I took my Mini Cooper in for several things (totaling over $1500), including a battery and brake replacement. After picking up my car, I noticed a strange noise whenever I drove over a bump. I took it back, and they claimed to have "fixed the issue." But the noise was still there. When I returned again, they admitted that an inexperienced mechanic had worked on my car the first time and promised a more experienced one would fix it. Then they said the noise was due to something else that needed replacing and pressured me into doing it, although at a discount. The noise continued. Frustrated, I went to another mechanic who found a tool socket left inside the battery compartment, causing the noise. They also showed me a large missing piece from the plastic compartment above the battery, which wasn't broken before. The plastic parts under the hood of a Mini Cooper are known to be fragile, and it’s infuriating that the mechanics at this place didn’t know this and didn’t admit they broke it, trying to hide their mistake instead. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this place. The mechanics here are not only incompetent but also don’t care if they damage your car. Their lack of knowledge and honesty is completely unacceptable.

Came in specifically for a Service Engine Soon light issue, was sold on other issues that were not related to this issue. Next day, the light was back. Can’t recommend this service to others unfortunately - made an appointment at 9:00am, showed up early and didn’t servicing for a minimum of an hour. They tried to charge me $2800 work of repairs, so glad I didn’t accept that - they charged me 700$ in equipment and $700 for service.

A walk-in visit to this Pep Boys was performed on a Saturday evening, in response to another auto care center that was unable to install a couple of tires that I had purchased from them. Special shout out to Fernando who was extremely helpful and made the experience great - he made sure that the tire replacement and rotation services being requested were documented, understood, and performed appropriately by the garage. The work took a little over an hour to complete, with pricing that was reasonable and communicated ahead of time. Will definitely consider coming back to this location for additional services as needed.

Had a good experience. Once the ordered part arrived, it took a little over an hour, but once installed, the trunk lid on my 2014 Accord LX works great. Staff was friendly & professional. I'll be back, for sure.

I brought my 2017 Chrysler Pacifica in for some 100k maintenance (new plugs, break fluid, timing belt). Long story short-- they drained the break fluid, but then forgot to put in new fluid. So, when I picked up the car, upon turning on the car, the dash momentarily flashed "check break fluid". I chalked that up to a residual warning from the process, but decided to pop the hood and check fluid levels anyway. Good thing I did. No break fluid. So, I went back in, let them know there was no break fluid, and waited another 45 minutes while they brought the car in to add the fluid back. They were apologetic, and confused as to how it could happen. So was I. Now, here's the thing that really irked me. When I called earlier to check on status, the person that answered the line said car was pretty much ready, and that the technician was just out taking it for a test drive after all the work was completed. That was clearly BS in retrospect. If they HAD taken it for a ride, they would have either A) seen the break fluid warning light, or B) had the breaks fail while driving. Point is -- they never took it for a test drive. And, if I'd have just ignored the brief "check break fluid" warning on the dash, there's a good chance my breaks would have failed on the way home. For all this trouble? They offered me a free oil change. I appreciate it. But honestly, shouldn't they offer a free break fluid exchange as well? I won't need it on this car any time soon, but on my others... oh well.

My tire just completely shredded out of nowhere while on our way to our Hotel in San Diego. It was late and everywhere was closed. We found this pep boys and had the car towed there. We arrived with around 5 minutes left until they closed. Fernando not only let us in and helped us, but was extremely kind and compassionate. He walked us through all the steps, assured us the car would be ready in the morning, and provided exceptional service. The next day, we came around the time he mentioned, the car was ready and he greeted us with a big smile. Costs were everything we agreed to, everything was reasonable, he mentioned all the other things they noticed during their inspection but was not pushy at all with the other changes, simply recommended them and was understanding that we were from out of town and that we could totally get the other repairs done at any other pep boys. Thank you for your help Fernando and pep boys!

I brought my car in for an alignment a few months ago. It was done in a timely fashion and the car tracks straight. More recently I had a piece of wood fly through my AC condenser. I replaced it but needed the system evacuated and refilled with refrigerant. The shop also did that in a timely fashion at a very reasonable cost. The staff is cool too. Luis is the man.

So grateful for Pep Boys! They are the only shop close by that’s open in the evenings. Fernando was extremely helpful with ensuring all parts were in stock for my brake service, and he even hooked me up with a coupon! I will definitely be going back to Pep Boys next time I need car service! Thanks guys!
