Myers Service Station Introduce

Welcome to Myers Service Station, located at 15277 Lima Rd in Huntertown, IN 46748, USA. Operating within the platform category of Auto Repair Stations, Myers Service Station serves the local community by providing both fuel and a range of automotive services. This dual function makes it a potentially convenient stop for residents and travelers in the Huntertown area who require gasoline or need vehicle maintenance and repairs.

As a gas station, Myers Service Station offers fuel for various types of vehicles. This primary service allows customers to conveniently refuel their cars, trucks, and other gasoline or diesel-powered vehicles. The availability of fuel is a core function of a service station, catering to the immediate needs of drivers on the road. Beyond fuel, the classification as an Auto Repair Station indicates that Myers Service Station also provides automotive maintenance and repair services.

Information regarding the specific environment of Myers Service Station, such as the number of fuel pumps, the presence of a convenience store, or the size and layout of the repair shop, is not available in the provided reviews. However, it is typical for a service station with repair capabilities to have a designated area or bay equipped with the necessary tools and equipment to perform automotive work. This might include diagnostic equipment, lifts, and various hand and power tools required for different types of repairs.

Based on the limited customer feedback, the services offered at Myers Service Station extend beyond just selling gasoline. The reviews mention computer diagnostics for evap leaks, smoke testing, and the replacement of components such as purge valves and spark plugs. This suggests that Myers Service Station is equipped to handle both diagnostic work and general mechanical repairs. The reference to labor charges also indicates that they provide the service of installing parts and performing maintenance tasks.

One customer review details an experience involving a computer diagnostic for an evaporative emission (EVAP) leak. The initial agreement was for a free computer scan, followed by a $45 charge for a smoke test if the scan was inconclusive. However, the customer reported a $45 charge for the removal of the purge valve, which occurred during the diagnostic process. The subsequent quote for a $200 purge valve replacement was declined, and the customer later performed the replacement themselves for a significantly lower cost and effort. While the owner did refund the $45 charge, this experience highlights a potential issue with communication and unexpected charges.

Another review raises concerns about the labor rates at Myers Service Station. The customer was charged $225 for a spark plug replacement and cleaning of the mass air flow sensor, which included $160 for two hours of labor at an $80 per hour rate. The customer felt this labor charge was unreasonable and also expressed dissatisfaction with not being contacted for price confirmation before the work was done. This feedback points to potential issues with pricing transparency and the perceived value of the labor provided.

The limited number of reviews available makes it challenging to establish a comprehensive understanding of the typical customer experience at Myers Service Station. However, the two provided reviews raise concerns regarding pricing, communication about charges, and the perceived value of the services offered. These are important factors for local users to consider when deciding whether to utilize the automotive repair services at this location.

Given the nature of the feedback, it is difficult to identify clear promotional information for Myers Service Station. The reviews do not mention any discounts, special offers, or unique selling points that would typically be considered promotional. In the absence of positive promotional signals from customer experiences, potential customers might rely on other factors such as location convenience or personal recommendations (if available from other sources not included here).

To potentially improve their local reputation and attract more customers, Myers Service Station might consider addressing the issues raised in the customer reviews. Enhancing communication about diagnostic procedures and associated costs, ensuring transparency in pricing for parts and labor, and reviewing labor rates to ensure they are competitive and perceived as reasonable by customers could be beneficial. Actively seeking and responding to customer feedback, both positive and negative, can also demonstrate a commitment to customer satisfaction.

In conclusion, Myers Service Station in Huntertown, IN, functions as both a gas station providing fuel and an Auto Repair Station offering automotive services. The limited customer feedback available suggests potential concerns regarding pricing transparency and labor costs for repair services. Local users may want to consider these factors and potentially seek further information or compare with other Auto Repair Stations in the area before making a decision regarding their vehicle maintenance and repair needs at Myers Service Station. As a gas provider, it offers the convenience of refueling, but for automotive services, it's advisable for customers to ensure clear communication and understanding of costs before proceeding with any work.

Myers Service Station Customer Reviews

Said he would do a computer diagnostic for my evap leak for free and if it didn't tell him anything I was going to have him smoke test it for 45 dollars. I dropped car off and he called me back saying it was the purge valve and confirmed it by removing it and blowing through it and he would have to charge me $200 to replace it. I went to pick the car up and I had a surprise charge of 45 dollars because he removed my purge valve when he was supposed to only run the computer scan for free. I changed the purge valve a week ago. It takes 5 minutes to change. It's as easy as changing an air filter.. $200. I will never be back.. He did end up giving me my money back tho

Is everyone else getting charged $80 a hour on labor?? And you think that's reasonable?? How is it reasonable to charge me $225 to change my spark plugs and clean the mass air flow? Not only that but I was not called to confirm I'm ok with the price or what they was gonna do. Regardless, $160 for 2 hours of labor (to change sparks plugs smh) is outrageous.
