Motor Trans of Lindenwold Introduce

Motor Trans of Lindenwold, situated at 719 S White Horse Pike #2434, Lindenwold, NJ 08021, USA, is an establishment operating under the classification of "Auto Repair Stations." This business appears to focus on various automotive repair services, with a historical emphasis on transmissions, as suggested by its name. They are reachable by phone at (856) 782-8400 or via mobile at +1 856-782-8400, providing contact points for local users in Lindenwold and surrounding areas.

As an "Auto Repair Station," Motor Trans of Lindenwold is positioned to offer a range of services aimed at maintaining and repairing vehicles. Historically, businesses with "Trans" in their name often specialize in transmission repair and replacement, which are complex and critical automotive services. Beyond transmissions, a general auto repair station would typically handle a variety of common vehicle issues, including brakes, engine diagnostics, and potentially other mechanical repairs. However, it is important to note that the provided customer feedback, which will be discussed in detail, presents a mixed and concerning picture of their current service delivery.

Information regarding the specific environment of Motor Trans of Lindenwold is not available from the provided customer reviews. Typically, an auto repair station would consist of a reception area for customers, and a garage or workshop with bays for vehicles to be serviced. The functionality and cleanliness of such an environment can vary significantly from one establishment to another. Without direct descriptions from customers or external information, it is difficult to objectively describe the physical setting of this particular repair shop.

The services offered by Motor Trans of Lindenwold, based on the customer reviews and their name, primarily include:

  • Brake Repair: One customer mentions bringing their vehicle in for brakes, indicating this is a service they provide.
  • Transmission Repair/Replacement: The business name "Motor Trans" strongly suggests a specialization in transmission services, including repair, rebuild, and replacement. One review explicitly mentions having a "transmission done here."
  • Engine Work: One review mentions an incident where an engine was "dropped," implying that they undertake engine-related repairs or removal, even if the outcome in that specific instance was negative.
It is important to state that while these services are implied, the quality and reliability of their execution have been severely questioned by recent customer experiences, as detailed below. Historically, when "Steve ran it," the business was praised for "Great work, great guy to deal with," indicating a period when their services were well-regarded. However, the current reviews reflect a different operational standard.

The features of Motor Trans of Lindenwold, as perceived by customers, are unfortunately characterized by significant negative aspects based on the provided recent reviews.

  • Historical Reputation: There is a mention of a past positive reputation when a person named Steve ran the business, indicating that at one point, it was considered a reliable place for automotive work, particularly transmissions. This suggests that previous management might have been a distinguishing positive feature.
  • Current Customer Experience Issues: The dominant feature conveyed by the reviews is a severe decline in service quality and customer satisfaction.
    • Subpar Repair Work: One customer reported issues with brake repairs, alleging that essential steps like caliper removal or bleeding the brakes were not performed, leading to recurring problems. The observation of "rusted closed" bolts and bleeder value suggests a lack of thoroughness or proper procedure.
    • Catastrophic Damage and Refusal of Refund: A highly critical review describes an incident where the engine was "dropped," leading to the car being irreparable and sent to a junkyard. This is a severe incident that directly impacts the vehicle's functionality and value.
    • Lack of Accountability and Poor Management: The refusal to provide even a partial refund for the ruined vehicle, coupled with the customer labeling the current individual "Bill" as a "disgrace" and "crook," points to a significant issue with customer service and business ethics under current management. The statement "New owners or not" suggests a possible change in ownership or management that has negatively impacted service standards.
    • Failure to Respond to Complaints: Public records, such as those from the Better Business Bureau (BBB), indicate a "Failure to respond to 1 complaint(s) filed against business," which further reinforces concerns about accountability and customer relations. The business is also noted as "NOT BBB Accredited."
These reported issues indicate that reliability, quality of work, and customer trust are currently significant negative features of this establishment, based on the provided customer feedback.

Given the highly critical nature of the provided customer reviews, there is no positive promotional information to be objectively derived or inferred from the text. On the contrary, the reviews serve as a stark warning to potential customers. The explicit statements like "I will NEVER go back" and "Beware!" are direct disincentives for new business. The detailed accounts of alleged negligence (brakes) and catastrophic damage (dropped engine), coupled with a refusal for compensation and accusations of dishonest behavior ("crook," "disgrace"), paint a picture that actively discourages patronage. For local users in Lindenwold, NJ, seeking automotive repair services, the publicly available reviews suggest exercising extreme caution when considering Motor Trans of Lindenwold for any vehicle maintenance or repair needs. Potential customers are strongly advised to conduct thorough research, seek multiple opinions, and prioritize shops with consistently positive and verifiable customer feedback before entrusting their vehicles to this particular establishment.

Motor Trans of Lindenwold Customer Reviews

I used them in the past. My vehicle needed brakes. They did the job and a few weeks later I had issues again. After 4 weeks they towed it to a place in Pine Hill. That mechanic took pictures because as he said they need took the caliper off or bled the brakes. The bolts holding caliper on and the bleeder value were both rusted closed. I will NEVER go back. I had gotten my transmission done here when Steve ran it. Great work, great guy to deal with. So when this car broke down, I went back. They DROPPED my engine (had to scrap my car) and refused even a partial refund of almost $700. Bill is a disgrace. He looks like a sweet old man but hes nothing but a crook. Absolutely disgraceful and bad business. Took my money and my car is in a junkyard. Beware!

First I want to thank Bill and the crew for the work they put into fixing my mistake on my car’s transmission. Going in Bill warned me that they were backlogged – so my expectations were set accordingly. Things did go a bit longer than expected due to delays with parts and the fairly time-consuming process with having to take the trans down a couple of times due to unforeseen complications. Had it back a few days now and it is working great. The car was also returned very clean – including the engine bay which I had professionally cleaned before the work. Knowing how much effort it is to drop the transmission I was pleasantly surprised that it looked as clean as when I brought it in. Only constructive criticism I have is for more communication; I had to call to get updates periodically. Overall - you did a great job guys and I sincerely appreciate it. August 2022

Just spoke with Maria who educated me on my father's vehicle. Called a different place prior who quoted us for something his vehicle doesn't even have. There isn't honest businesses like this anymore and we really appreciated the education and how thoro things were explained.

Terrible people, the short white guy(I believe he is the owner or manger) lied about giving a discount so when I decided to take my car to different place they stole parts and claim my car came in like that. When they found out I had video proof of what my car looked like when it came in they tried to give me used parts to a different car so I had to take them to court. If you value your car and parts never ever come here
