Meadowdale Performance Garage Introduce

This introduction is based on recent customer reviews for Meadowdale Performance Garage, located at 80 N John F.Kennedy Dr, Carpentersville, IL 60110, USA. While categorized under "Auto Repair Stations," it is crucial for potential local users to be aware of significant concerns raised by these reviews regarding the reliability of services, adherence to business hours, and the accuracy of repair diagnoses and estimates.

Information regarding the physical environment of Meadowdale Performance Garage is not detailed in the provided reviews. However, the core message from the feedback pertains to the customer service and operational practices rather than the physical appearance of the facility itself. Potential customers should focus on the reported experiences to gauge whether this auto repair station aligns with their expectations for professionalism and service.

Based on the available customer reviews, Meadowdale Performance Garage reportedly offers services such as:

  • Intoxalock Device Installation: One customer mentioned dropping off their car for this specific service. However, the experience described was negative, citing significant delays and a failure to complete the installation as promised.
  • Brake Repair: Another customer brought their vehicle in due to a loud braking noise and received a diagnosis for front brakes, rotors, and calipers replacement. However, a subsequent inspection at a different facility indicated that only the front brakes and rotors needed replacement, suggesting a potential overestimation of required repairs.
  • Vehicle Inspection: An inspection fee was mentioned in one review, charged for assessing the brake issue. The initial fee quoted was considered "outrageous" by the customer, highlighting concerns about pricing transparency and the value of the inspection service.

The features of Meadowdale Performance Garage, as perceived through the lens of these recent customer experiences, present several areas of concern:

  • Reliability and Communication: One customer reported a significant discrepancy between the owner's assurances about the completion time of a service and the actual outcome, including arriving at the shop during stated business hours to find it closed and their car untouched. This raises questions about the reliability of communication and the adherence to agreed-upon timelines.
  • Adherence to Business Hours: Multiple instances of the shop being closed during its stated business hours (both the time provided over the phone and the hours listed online) were reported. This lack of consistency in operating hours could lead to significant inconvenience for customers planning to drop off or pick up their vehicles.
  • Accuracy of Diagnostics and Estimates: The significant difference in the brake repair diagnosis and the associated cost estimate compared to another repair facility raises serious concerns about the accuracy and trustworthiness of the assessments provided by Meadowdale Performance Garage. The initial estimate was significantly higher than the actual cost of the necessary repairs at another shop.
  • Transparency of Fees: The initially quoted inspection fee was perceived as excessively high by a customer, leading to a negotiation for a lower price. This situation suggests a potential lack of transparency or consistency in pricing for diagnostic services.
  • Professionalism: The overall experiences described in the reviews paint a picture of unprofessional business practices, including potential dishonesty regarding service completion and repair needs, as well as a disregard for stated business hours.

Currently, there is no positive information or any indication of promotional offers for Meadowdale Performance Garage within the provided customer reviews. The feedback is overwhelmingly negative, focusing on issues with service reliability, business practices, and the accuracy of repair assessments. Therefore, it is not possible to objectively present any positive features or promotional aspects based on this information.

Given the serious concerns raised in the recent customer reviews, local users considering Meadowdale Performance Garage for their auto repair needs should proceed with extreme caution. The reported issues with service delays, failure to adhere to business hours, potentially inaccurate diagnoses, and questionable pricing practices could lead to significant frustration, financial loss, and inconvenience for customers. It is strongly recommended that potential customers seek multiple opinions and estimates for any required repairs and carefully consider the experiences shared by other users before entrusting their vehicle to this shop.

The lack of any positive feedback or promotional information in the provided reviews underscores the severity of the reported issues. While every business can have occasional negative feedback, the consistency and nature of the complaints regarding Meadowdale Performance Garage warrant serious consideration. Potential customers may want to explore alternative auto repair stations in the Carpentersville area that have a more consistent record of reliable service, transparent pricing, and adherence to professional business practices.

In conclusion, the recent customer reviews for Meadowdale Performance Garage in Carpentersville, IL, paint a concerning picture regarding service reliability, adherence to business hours, and the accuracy of repair estimates. Potential local users are strongly advised to take these experiences into account and exercise caution when considering this auto repair station for their vehicle needs. It would be prudent to seek alternative options with more positive and consistent customer feedback to ensure a satisfactory and trustworthy auto repair experience.

Meadowdale Performance Garage Customer Reviews

This place is horrible! I dropped off my car Friday morning to get a intoxalock device installed and didn’t get my car back until Monday! On top of that I called Saturday morning to ask if my car was finished the owner told me yes it would be done in 10 to 15 minutes. I told him I was on my way and he said OK. I got there 10 minutes later. All the doors were locked. I was calling the phone. No one picked up. I was standing outside the shop for a whole hour before I left. Also, my car was parked in the same place it was when I dropped it off and no device was installed so he completely lied ! I would not recommend this place to anyone!!!

For the LOVE of God do not come here, absolutely terrible!!! First off, I called the shop around noon on a Wednesday asking them when they close to which they replied 5:30 (even though the business times on Google says 6) which I then replied okay perfect I will be there around 4:30 and they said okay no problem. I get there at 4:45 (bit of traffic since I was coming from the city) and what do you know, all the lights are off and doors are closed. Knocked on the doors, called the shop, and honked my horn but nothing so clearly they don't honor business hours and left early. The next day I come because my car was making a very loud noise when braking so I assumed it was some kind of problem with the brakes so I just drop it off and go to work. Later that day they call me back and tell me it's going to be $1,100 due to the front brakes, rotors, and calipers needing to be replaced. I work at a dealership so I wanted to compare the prices between here and there and it ended up being much cheaper with my dealership so I told him I will pick up my car the next day to which he replied no problem, you just have to pay the inspection fee of $120?!? That much just to take the tires out and see if the brakes/rotors/calipers need to be replaced, ARE YOU KIDDING ME???? Absolutely outrageous so after going back and forth we settled on $50 for the inspection fee. Funny part is that I mentioned the previous day of getting there at 4:45 and no one was there and he kept contradicting himself. First he said they close at 4 on Wednesdays so if that was the truth, freaking change it on the business hours???? And then he said they were there til 5:30 which is not true at all. So which one is it Mister Owner, you left at 4 or 5:30?? So my dealership ended up doing an inspection on my car to see if it really required all the repairs Mister Scammer said it needed and here's the KICKER, it only need the front brakes and rotors NOT the calipers so another lie from this guy. I ended up paying $300 at my dealership and not the $1,100 like I would have at this place. This place conducts shady unprofessional bad business and the owner will try to squeeze out every dime he can out of you. Do not go here if you value your time and money.

Dropped my truck off January 24,25' for an issue with the Heat/Blend door Actuators, got truck back on March 15th, they tore my dash out, Steering Column ,Console, bring Back truck on March 19th because it was doing the same thing that i originally brought in for .But upon getting my Truck back was worse than when i sent it there, Engine Light is on, Traction Control Light is On, Heat still doesn't work Properly. My Overhead Console is partially hanging why that is , is beyond me, Extra Screws and Bolts were laying in the cup holder that must have been extra Parts, Vibration in the Steering Column ,which I Personally dropped and found that the Three Bolts that hold up the Steering Column Bracket were Missing 2 of them, Humberto should be giving me my Money back for the Inconvenience, and for Making my truck worse than before. I wouldn't recommend this shop to even check the Air Pressure on a Bicycle , the only way they get 1 star is because google wont let you post No Stars Pat N,

Humberto and his crew were very respectful of my requests when bringing in my f150 after an accident. He has fair prices and my trust after the job was complete. Yes I had extra expenses in the middle of my rust repair but I was made aware of them before I released my vehicle to them. Humberto also gave me complementary rides to & from his shop. A well rounded buisness owner with ethics! Ask him about classic cars and you'll have yourself a great conversation!

The Meadowdale performance garage is something that needs to be investigated. I recently (about 3 months ago now) had to go there to get a tire replaced/fixed. The service was nice and everyone was friendly, but there are several safety hazards within the store to say the least, and that’s not even the main concern. The main concern being my car went in with a busted tire on a stock rim. Since my car being so old and having bought it from marketplace, the lock for the lug nuts was nowhere to be found. And I must preface this, there was NO price negotiated at this point. He had only said it would be maybe an hour to replace. Now I understand there is hourly rates and i am perfectly okay with paying for someone’s time. It’s only fair. But he took 3 hours. I had time to go to stores and eat and rest while he worked on my car. And when we had came back, he had gotten the spare on but it was missing an entire stud and lug nut. He said he didn’t have the parts, but he’d order them for us. So I interjected at that point and said, why don’t we just order a new tire? He said sure that works and we talked about shipping and how long it would take and when to expect a call. Conveniently, the only way for me to receive an invoice was through email, since his invoice printer was “out of paper” (…really?) which was fine but I had never received an invoice. After calling 5 times I had decided i would dispute the charge and just go to another store, and agree to pay for the hourly. I was met with nothing but rude behavior and childish, immature deceitful tactics. He would gaslight me (witness’ present) into saying I was becoming rude and violent, that I was rude to his employees and that I would have to leave or be banned from the premises. I’ve been denied my own rim (id left it there in my haste, being excited to get my car back lol) the parts I’d paid for, the service I was promised and total respect. I mean this guy walked all over me and even lied to my bank stating “he ordered the parts and we were satisfied when we left the store, saying he DID give us an invoice.) This is outrageous, I’m down $300 and I have bills coming up just for this guy to rob me blind and make me feel dumb for simply not knowing how to change my tire. I had several other people I could have went to but chose MPG because of a good word. I can’t even dispute the charges since he did put in some form of work. My point being, PLEASE be careful with this place. It’s shady, it’s dangerous and bottom line scummy… no communication and as soon as you stand your ground, they crack down and throw a fit. Not to mention, if you look at the reviews on the place this wouldn’t be the first time something like this happened. Don’t waste your time and money. Any advice is also greatly appreciated.
