Mayfield-Brainard Collision & Paint

Wanted to give them 4 stars, but I couldn't... Had my Tesla Model S towed to the Lyndhurst Tesla Service Center after an incident. That Tesla SC doesn't do bodywork, so they sent it to Mayfield Brainard to get fixed up. They did a good job with the paint work, but unfortunately the good ends there. My vehicle was there for over TWO MONTHS and at the end of it all it still was not fixed. I drove up from Columbus SIX TIMES solely for the purpose of picking up the vehicle and each time the car had more trouble than the last time I saw it. Luckily I went through insurance, so I was able to pick another bodyshop to have the remaining issues fixed. On the drive of 71-N to Columbus (for the remaining repairs) I had impaired power steering and then when I hit a level change from a bridge on the highway the steering went out completely. Shaking uncontrollably back and forth with no input from the road itself. Maybe it's a problem car you say? That's what I thought, except when I got the car to the Columbus SC (service center) they fixed the issues in ONE WEEK what Mayfield-Brainard could not do in TWO MONTHS. I genuinely believe Danny is a good guy, but it is clear that the shop in incompetent when it comes to doing anything outside of just paint work or anything relating to Tesla's. List of issues after the vehicle was claimed "ready": -Wrong rim put on -Wrong front bumper harness installed (NOT flush with remaining panels of vehicle) -Front trunk would not shut once I opened it up because the trim panel underneath was never secured -Panel alignment of A-pillar and fender -Wind noise from front left (found out they installed the glass panel and left mirror incorrectly-- refer to picture) -"Steering assist reduced -- steering may require increased effort" alert -"Park Assist unavailable" alert -Charging port open randomly when parked -Dirty car when I picked it up (interior) & exterior first time (looked like it had been sitting under a tree for a year) -New scratches from the car wash they put it through (as a body shop you think they would be more careful with this stuff / marks on NEW front bumper (underneath and front grille :/)) -Sap on hood of vehicle

Great customer service! An update March 2023: I got a minor dent on my 2021 Highlander while it was parked (I didn't come to know where and when exactly it happened). I first took it to an Toyota certified body shop in Cleveland Hts and was quoted $1400 for the fix. I asked if we could pop it out since I saw that as an option on the internet. I was told No and that paint might come off. Then I went to Mayfield-Brainard collision and paint - The person popped the dent right then and there. It didn't remove the dent 100% but it took care of it almost 85-90%. And he did not charged me as well. If they were nice to someone for a job that they were not going to charge, imagine how they would treat a paying customer. Highly recommend this business!

I have used Mayfield-Brainard Collison twice now. Their exceptional customer service has been consistent, along with their reasonable pricing. I appreciate the itemized estimates, which allows their customers to see exactly what is being done along with the associated costs. They are not high-pressure sales. They even try to give you options to help the repairs fit into your budget. They do quality work and stand behind it. I highly recommend them.

Would not recommend this shop. Fender was not replaced but repaired and painted over. Hubcap fell off. I don’t believe it was new. The old one was used.

When I was rear ended, I hated driving my beat up damaged car around, but the amazing workers here brought my car back to life. Their customer service was fantastic, and my car looks brand new. They worked quickly, effectively, and with careful detail to ensure the best result. I will definitely recommend this shop to anyone who needs body work done.
