They take forever to do simple work. I’ve been waiting in an empty lobby for 2 hours and 30 mins for a OIL change. It should not take that long at all. The last management was better, they at least worked at a decent pace. Like seriously, 2 hours for an oil change is ridiculous.

WOW HOW THIS PLACE GONE DOWNHILL! My husband and I are long time customers and have always given great reviews, that is till now. I had a state inspection for my husband's car scheduled for a week earlier. I scheduled this through the SHELBY MAVICE WEBSITE. I show up on time, no one at desk, over 5 minutes later an employee (heavy set not wearing company shirt short dark hair and have never seen before) says "Can I help you"? I kindly let him know why I am there and that I have an appointment to get my husband's inspection. The staff member says "We don't do those here". I respond, "Yes you do I was just here last month look on your computer." He reiterates that he doest know what to tell me they ARE NOT DONE HERE. Now I must admit I was getting frustrated because I am being talked to like I am either crazy, stupid or both. I firmly repeated myself a was just begging to tell him that I scheduled it when a mechanic came out and said that The Inspector Quit!. I reiterated that I had this schedule since last week why didn't anyone check? There response "That's a corporate website". I am a former Medical Practice Administrator, I never raise my voice or use foul language when there is any issue ( I say this just in case the employee states otherwise). Gobsmacked by the horrible service, neither my husband nor I will be back.

Today when we went to get an inspection on my car, we were surprised to hear that it didn’t pass inspection due to my tint being 32% which was very odd as North Carolina LAW states that the legal time percentage is 35% with a grace percentage of 32% with inspections. We left to go to another shop where they advised us that 32% is legal but they were unable to inspect my car as it would raise a red flag on their end. We then went back to Mavis to educate them on the actual law. The front desk lady, Natalie, then tried to argue with us and tell us that her inspectors had taken a course and were “very educated.” Wrong. We left again to go to the dealership where we purchased the car with the tint already on it which they had passed. As we’re on the way there, we receive a call from Mavis advising that they were wrong and asked us to come back for another inspection. When we got there we didn’t receive an apology or anything. We were also charged 85 cent for the additional inspection that we didn’t even receive. They didn’t even touch my car the second time. Honestly don’t even care about the 85 cent, it’s just annoying when I know this has probably happened to more people than just us. All I’m going to say is the law overrides your course and instead of sitting down and playing on your phone, maybe use your time wisely and review the course you assumed you were so educated on.

If you care about your vehicle or not getting completely screwed over on prices for the work you need DO NOT go to this shop, they have the most disgusting ethics and business practices of any shop in Shelby or the surrounding areas. Save yourself the money and headache and take your vehicle ANYWHERE else. The manager Natalie won't let her technicians do any adjustments on an alignment other than the front toe adjustment and lies to customers and tells them that their alignment print offs were lost even though the alignment was never truly done in the first place. YOU WILL NOT GET A TRUE 4 WHEEL ALIGNMENT AT THIS SHOP!! Mavis and their management do not care about you or your vehicle, they will not hesitate to sell you all kinds of work that you don't need and they only care about taking as much of your hard earned money as possible

The manager personally took care of me, explained what needed to be done to keep my car safe, told me about sales and discounts. Waiting area and restrooms were very clean. I'll be back for more.
