Mason's Auto Repair Introduce
Mason's Auto Repair, situated at 123 Shackelford Rd, Leoma, TN 38468, USA, operates as a local establishment within the "Auto Repair Stations" platform category. This business aims to provide various automotive repair services to the community in Leoma, TN, and the surrounding areas. Customers can reach them directly via phone at (931) 231-0639 or through their mobile contact, +1 931-231-0639.
The environment at Mason's Auto Repair would typically be that of a standard automotive repair shop. One can expect a garage space with bays for vehicles, equipped with tools and machinery necessary for various types of car repairs. The focus of the environment would be on functionality and the execution of mechanical work. While specific details about a waiting area or customer amenities are not provided, the primary purpose of such a facility is to diagnose and fix vehicle issues. The location on Shackelford Road suggests a local presence that is accessible to residents within Leoma, aiming for convenience for vehicle drop-offs and pickups.
The services offered by Mason's Auto Repair, as indicated by the customer reviews, include general automotive repair, with a specific mention of transmission work. One customer noted that the shop "done my sons car, very reasonable and good," implying competence in general repairs. However, a more detailed review focuses on a transmission repair for a "4L60E" (a common automatic transmission model), indicating that transmission rebuilding or replacement is among their services. This suggests that Mason's Auto Repair is equipped to handle complex drivetrain issues, which often require specialized knowledge and tools. Beyond transmissions, it is common for general auto repair shops to offer services such as brake repair, oil changes, tune-ups, tire rotations, suspension work, engine diagnostics, and general vehicle maintenance. The scope of services would likely cover a broad range of common vehicle problems that local car owners face.
The features of Mason's Auto Repair, as derived from the provided customer feedback, present a mixed picture. On the positive side, one customer highlighted that the service was "very reasonable and good," suggesting that the shop offers competitive pricing and satisfactory work for some repairs. This indicates an effort to provide value to customers through affordability. However, a significant portion of the provided feedback raises serious concerns regarding service quality, customer communication, and warranty adherence, particularly concerning a transmission repair. This review describes an experience where a transmission repair costing over $1400 did not result in a running vehicle, and the shop allegedly refused to re-examine the work after the customer reported issues within the stated warranty period. This suggests potential inconsistencies in diagnostic thoroughness, quality control, and post-repair customer support. The complaint specifically points to issues with the timing of parts acquisition relative to the actual repair, lack of follow-up on reported problems, and an unwillingness to address a recurring issue after a significant investment from the customer.
Therefore, while one feature might be competitive pricing on certain jobs, other reported features include: **challenges with post-repair support and warranty claims**, particularly for complex and costly repairs like transmissions. The review highlights a potential lack of willingness to re-evaluate their own work when a problem persists, leading to customer frustration and an unresolved vehicle issue. This directly impacts the feature of **reliability and trustworthiness**, as one customer explicitly warned others not to "waste your time or money here." The communication aspect also appears inconsistent, with allegations of being "jacked us around on fixing it." For a business to be considered a reliable "Auto Repair Station," consistent service quality and robust post-repair support are paramount.
In terms of promotional information, no specific campaigns or offers are detailed for Mason's Auto Repair. Typically, positive word-of-mouth and customer testimonials are strong promotional tools for local auto repair shops. The positive review mentioning "very reasonable and good" work would be a promotional point for customers seeking affordability. However, the severe negative review concerning a costly and unresolved transmission issue, coupled with accusations of "bad business" and "ripping an old lady off," would significantly counter any positive promotional efforts. For local users, such detailed negative feedback serves as a cautionary tale, directly impacting the perceived trustworthiness and value proposition of the business. An auto repair station relies heavily on its reputation for honesty, competence, and customer care. The provided reviews suggest that while some customers may find their services satisfactory, others have had highly negative experiences, particularly when complex or warranty-related issues arise. Therefore, any promotional efforts would likely be overshadowed by the critical feedback concerning post-repair accountability.
In conclusion, Mason's Auto Repair in Leoma, TN, operates as an "Auto Repair Station" offering general automotive services, including transmission repair. Its environment is that of a typical garage. While one customer found their pricing reasonable and work satisfactory, significant concerns have been raised by another customer regarding the efficacy of a high-cost transmission repair, adherence to warranty terms, and subsequent refusal to re-examine the vehicle. These mixed reviews indicate that while the shop may handle some repairs adequately, there are serious reported inconsistencies in service quality, post-repair support, and customer accountability, particularly for more complex or costly issues. This directly impacts the perceived reliability and trustworthiness of the business for local users in the Leoma area, making it essential for potential customers to weigh both positive and negative feedback carefully before choosing this repair shop.

He done my sons car , very reasonable and good

Warranty expired because he got the transmission way before he actually "fixed" it. We let him know it wasnt fixed within 90 days of getting it back. After spending over $1400 cash up front we still don't have a running vehicle. And he refuses to even look at it. Bad business. Do not waste your time or money here. Shame on you for ripping an old lady off during these difficult times. A real "mechanic" would not let their customers waste $1400 without even looking at the vehicle again to make sure it wasn't a simple mistake on your end. We never expected him to replace the transmission again, just wanted him to take a look at HIS work which after spending $1400 is not asking too much. You know what you are doing is absolutely wrong. We should have known this was going to happen when you kept jacking us around on fixing it. You bought the transmission BEFORE your surgery, that's not our fault you were down from surgery and couldn't get to it, you should have waited on getting the transmission til YOU the one fixing it was able to get it done. And I do have messages proving that we let you know within 90 days of getting it back from you. You know good and well a newly fixed car should last longer than that. Again, shame on you.

Have you ever wanted a mechanic that is really good and you don’t have to worry about getting ripped off? Look no farther than Mason’s Auto Repair! I’ve known Mason and his family for years so I know he’s a great guy. But when my 12 year old car needed some extensive maintenance, I found out that he’s a great mechanic too! Great job Mason.... thanks so much!

My truck is running well again, thanks for great work. I also liked that the owner took the time to explain things and answer my questions. Highly recommend this business!
