I had the codes for the issue with my car: P0171 and P0420. I asked the guy what the codes meant, and how much it would cost to fix. He said I probably needed my O2 sensor and catalytic converter replaced, which would cost me $1200. Here's the thing, I asked ChatGPT for advice. And they said I wouldn't necessarily need my catalytic converter replaced. It told me a list of reasons why the code may have come up not having to do with the catalytic converter, and recommended that I have the mechanic diagnose the issue first. When I showed the guy what ChatGPT said, he said "You can listen to ChatGPT, but based on my experience as a mechanic, you need a new O2 sensor and catalytic converter." I needed neither. I went to a different mechanic, and he immediately said he needed to diagnose it (for $100). The other mechanic passed the honesty test, in the way this guy didn't. The other mechanic diagnosed and it turned out that the issue was neither the O2 sensor or the catalytic converter. It was my mass airflow sensor (because I got a generic one from autozone rather than the official Toyota part, which made sense!). The mass airflow sensor cost me about $200 from Toyota. And the other mechanic installed it for free, to run a few additional tests. So with the diagnostic and the Toyota part, I paid a total of $300 (only $100 going to the other mechanic). That's a huge saving compared to the $1200 these mechanics were going to charge me for something that wasn't going to fix my issue. Scammers. There are a lot of scammer mechanics out there preying on customer ignorance. I recommend everyone start using ChatGPT to fight back.

I went there to install my 20’inch rims and tires on my dodge charger and had a great experience. Kelvin, his father and rest of the crew are very polite and they will try their best to help you and will make sure you leave happy just like they did to me. Prices are very fair as well. Great service,knowledgeable technicians, Very prompt,good price. Kelvin is the best, and so are two young guys didn’t catch their names. Just went for oil change but after visual inspection few things needed fix. They gave a good quote. Job was done nicely.
