Lightning Smog

Warning! Don't risk taking your older vehicle there IMO. Brian spent time looking for Catalytic converters and EGR cannister, apparently not knowing those items are "not applicable" on my 1983 GM truck chassis. Moreover, he wanted over $210. T&T smog a mile down the street was $111 out the door for the exact same procedure. Maybe he doesn't like doing older vehicles. But nothing excuses him wasting his or my time looking for non-applicable devices on my vehicle. He made me feel like I was trying to pull something over on him. Like I took the cats or EGR cannister off. Its just an older vehicle dude.

In and out in literally 11 minutes. However, i came on Wednesday right before Thanksgiving. James and Twang duo work well. Both were very courteous and business professional as well. Convenient place and one of the closest to Pendleton Main Gate make it a Go-To place for Military. A good price that im willing to pay for good work and professionalism. They also offer registration processing if you bring in your old notice or paperwork etc for a small fee and can give you your tags there on the spot. No DMV wait is a great option. Thanks for everything. Their current rating (4.8ish) is on par. They also have a nifty couple of touch pad check-in stations that you can use and they immediately start the work. Good stuff.

Always a fast, and affordable when I go there. I like that I can get my registration and sticker there as well. I highly recommend them.

James is a very thorough but good guy. He's by the book which is good, and is knowledgeable. They don't do repairs, but they do emissions and you can license your car there so you don't need to wait in the long DMV lines.

Good smog & service. There is a waiting room. But there’s plenty to do in Oceanside. Get a tattoo while you’re waiting for your smog.

Just moved back to my home state and was referred to lightning smog. I was blown away by the level of customer service from Brian who did my smog and Johnny who is processing the paperwork. Don’t waste your time and efforts dealing with the DMV come here they are fast, efficient and provide exceptional levels of customer service well worth the money and time.
