Lake Auto & Smog

Called to ask when they close a day before and they informed me before 12pm. I arrived 11am and they turned me down. I got my smog done at Compa Smog after and was satisfied.

Absolutely worse mechanic shop I have ever experienced. Heard a rattle under my Lexus ES 350 and my friend referred me to Nacho Figueroa. Went to his shop twice, never mentioned estimate cost. It is a modest location, expected pricing to align with that. Made an appointment, after rearranging my schedule for the repair, he tells me it will cost $160 just to inspect it. Way more than his competitors, then calls me later to give ma price 40% higher to replace my water pump. Unfortunately, had to retrieve the car and give it to his competitors. Told him to inform customers at first contact what his price to inspect would be, not when they show up for their appointment. Also, try to stay competitive and have good will , it will return to him many times. One of the things I liked about his shop was there weren't many cars there, but maybe that should have been a red flag.

Went here early morning for a smog check and they took care of me quickly. They were very friendly and the shop was clean and well maintained. I look forward to utilizing them again.

Update: 10/07 I returned again and was greeted by Nacho, Nacho took me right in and as always, I received above and beyond ambassador of good will perfect customer service! I can not understand why people bring high end luxury vehicles to learn estimate and get all butt hurt because of it! What do you expect? Ford pinto prices!!! Seriously? Really? And then you leave a bad review for Nacho....wow, smh. To the person who left a bad review, trade your car in for something you can afford to maintain!!!! Thank you Nacho for helping me and our community!!! Great place! Called Nacho and everything was 123 easy! Positive, friendly with old town home feel. Nacho was busy and still tended to me, even while waiting he kept me informed time wise. I like that. I got great advice and felted sense of trust! I will be coming back. Btw, read/look at pictures/signs on the lobby/office walls....some really cool stuff to entertain you while you wait. 👍

had my father george smith call this place to get a ac compresser replaced on his honda accord and recharged person never called back my father he called a week later and they told him they would get back with him been 6 months now never heard back
